I think it could have been a lot better, if they would have took more of the words and phrases that were used back in those days instead of hey man and other phrases on related to true black cowboy history, once again the latter is is possible could have happened,

I love Black Westerns. This will help school children learn that we as a Race did want more and We fought hard to achieve and protect it.

Well this was a fairly tale, nothing historic about it except for the names. The real stories of these great people should be told.
This wasn't taught to me in school. I was an adult when I learned that the first and original cowboys and cowgirls were black.
This was a good workout for a few of black Hollywood's heavyweights.
This is a masterpiece for true and Jeymes Samuel is my new favorite director!
Superbly done. the use of monochromatic with the bold colors made the scenes pop! Very nice. A stellar cast with a great plot and sub-plots . . . what makes a film a masterpiece!

Wowowowowwo this is so good. This is a big ticket short story. I have never heard of this short story before. Thank good ness for the Harder They Fall extensions, otherwise I would not have heard of this short story. It was good seeing Jeymes Samuel in this. This was pre-pandemic.
The participants did a excellent job with this film Using all of these black history icons was a nice touch Heavy estrogen testosterones and melanin flowing through this project It look like it was a pilot project that could’ve been explored more with character expansion each actor did their job well

Wow this line up of actors is crazy good. Harry Lennix playing Bass Reeves is a shocker, I love to is Clifton Powell and anything! The mans is a true Craftsman of the acting art. The new comers Jesse Williams, Michael Keaton, David Banner, Felicia Pierce, Kwame Boateng, Erykah Badu, Nate Parker, Nate Parked is lining up to be wondering the greatest actors of all time as well. I love Nate Parker portraying Nat Turner! His work will go down in history! You see Jesse Williams into an action drama wow I would have liked to see more from Jesse Williams but it was a short. David Banner has proven over times that his acting skills are in the bomb. It would be great to see him in more great shows films movies!

Bass Reeves wasn't a sheriff. He was a U.S. Marshal. A legendary U.S. Marshal, by the way. BIG difference.
These “stories” aren’t historically accurate, nor are they even being told by actual Black Americans.
The Lone Ranger is Bass Reaves and Tonto is Cuffee...They can never tell us who we really are
..it would destroy "their" version of history...which is a fiction.
Actually, Bass Reeves spoke many Indian languages and did have native American deputies. (Only logical, considering that they knew the Indian territories better than anyone.) Thus, the TONTO/side-kick comparison is rooted in actual history and fact.

The same guy wrote and directed this short. This was literally him testing out his ideas and skills…which led him to the Harder They Fall now.
I was shocked to see him shoot a big film with no history of films on IMDb, then kept researching and found this. It was a series of shots for his 2nd album , he’s also an artist that released short films with his album.
He’s also the brother of Seal which probably helped also
