They have two different kinds of lightning trout there (they call them Amagolds, because apparently, if they're not from Lassen, they're not officially lightning trout). One kind of the regular lightning, but the other is more of a faded color. That's what that last one was.
For me, the ponds where I go that is stocked trout, I have yet to catch any using Powerbait dough; I’ve caught trout using the Mousetails, power eggs, and trout magnets. Any ideas why the dough isn’t working? I have 5 different ones.
I was out there on my kayak last Sunday. One of the guys I was with landed a 26 1/2” beast of a trout - I wasn’t there when they weighed it, but I’d guess close to 10 lbs.
Custom mice tails and floating nightcrawlers at my lake in SoCal produce. With some homemade scent. Dough baits don't really produce any full limits at the few lakes I fish. Might catch one if I'm lucky. I have 20 jars or so and Chartreuse or Rainbow colors are the best two colors for me. Glad it worked for you. Three beauties you got there. Did you try jigging there?
@@corefishing1 literally the only places that they stock golden/lighting trout is in West Virginia and California and that's all I know of anyway... Nice vid love these simple tips for trout fishing
