Playing this now in my garden and it attracted the local robin ! Try it it works, don’t forget the treat for them.

@@dioklis888 they eat meal worm & sunflower seeds..I will go check my list. Oh you can give them unsalted peanuts crushed up.

EDIT:You do have to be careful what you feed Robbins. They do say to keep the feeding area clean,cause of disease & bacteria..
Also you have to be careful with the peanuts aswell,don't just wash salted peanuts&think that will be ok to feed them. There is something in peanuts for humans that's not good for Robbins. I can't remember what it was called,if I find it I will come bk&write it down..
They are ground feeders & they love worms,you can feed meal worm,if you give them dried meal worm,you can soak them in water for the Robbins for a bit of moisture.
They eat insects,beetles in particular..seeds,sunflower hearts,raisins,they apparently eat fruits. You have to be careful because of sugar..You can give them suet with seeds mixed in..
They are beautiful,they will come right up close to you aswell..

I grew up in Oregon & WA Pacific Northwest when I moved to SoCalif I went to wild bird shop & got a very bleak report that I would be unable to attract birds in my backyard with 3 large trees in this desert climate! so I set out with a Finch feeder & played this UA-cam - every bird from at least 10 miles comes to my backyard so thank you

If my cat had a UA-cam account, she would either hit like or dislike, I'm not sure which, but she has very strong feelings about this video. I think she likes it though. Lots of meowing and purring and chattering and walking around.
I love all birds... thanks for this sweet trat! Dont forget to take a few grains out the door for mother natures flor. I walk often and leave quinoa, lentil, nuts few days old cornbread the family didn't eat (I don't do dairy) or dried fruit overed with the above!

I’ve been playing this to a baby robin that I sound almost dead outside then saved him by feeding him and keeping him warm. We are going to let him go soon

I saved a baby robin it was chocking on a bit of plastic bin liner i caugjt the poor little thing and pulled out the plastic from his or hers beak it then came back and i had the wee thing in my hand it then flew off it lives in our depot now ive fat balls and seed for it lol

When it comes to birding, it is controversial whether one should use artificlal bird calls to attract other birds Some feel it's not right, that we should only allow real birds call each other. neenee56 There's nothing at all "idiotic" about your consideration of the ethics of using recordings to attract robins. I'm only sorry your post seems to have attracted a Troll 👹! For me the ethical question comes down to one of harm. If no harm is done, e.g. by calling the Robin away from it's young, or into danger (e.g. onto the ground in sight of a cat), it's probably OK. I guess you know best the situation you envisage. I only wish more people were as considerate of ethics when dealing with animals & birds!
