A few months later she called me at around midnight - several hours after she had left from hanging out with me where, strangely, I was debating an atheist in a parking lot LOL - to tell me she had just gotten saved that night on the drive home and had just finished reading through the first three gospels. She asked: "What do I do next?" I said: "Read John!" Our relationship blossomed and we have been married now for 13 years and have 2 kids. So, The Lost Tomb of Jesus holds a dear place in my heart - it's rubbish - but it holds a dear place. EDIT: Wow! Lots of interaction on this. Thanks guys! Hollywood does indeed churn out alot of garbage, however, "Trying to make people think Jesus is not the saviour of the world"? Think about that, the world as a planet or the people in it? Do the righteous people who have never heard of Jesus get a free pass? The point I'm making, is like so many devout believers, you paraphrase nonsensical declarations. You read reasonable material and come to outrageous conclusions, which you don't expect to be challenged or even defend. I could spend the rest of my life shredding religious doctrine, that doesn't mean to say I think we evolved over millions years from chimps. We have a wonderful language spoken and read in so many tongues, yet those that feed on and adopt other people's imaginations, consider themselves qualified to make declarations of truth. AND, finds righteous justification when some lazy person posts a couple of words of support or encouragement.
I stumbled across this book at the library 3 weeks ago. After reading the first two chapters of this book, the Holy Spirit convicted me with Hebrews 7:3 NIV "Without father or mother, without genealogy, without beginning of days or end of life, resembling the Son of God, he remains a priest forever." I immediately returned the book without reading another single word. I just finished this video here and I'm so glad I didn't read that book. I didn't even know that there was a documentary made by Hollywood. If I had even known this was the case, I wouldn't of checked out the book. Thank you for shining a light on satans lies.
It's nothing to do with debunking the bible, Jesus had a family and therefore a family tomb. The tombs discovery and the crude scratched Hebrew lettering, can be deciphered by those that have expertise. I saw this documentary and though it wasn't conclusive, I kept an open mind. The trouble with those that are lead by faith of others, they lose the ability to consider alternative possibilities. The very thought that finding Jesus's remains, is beyond anyone's imagination, is like the belief in his resurrection is being brought into question. This just isn't the case, if you believe in the 'holy' trinity, then it shouldn't be beyond those that have faith that a spiritual resurrection could be an alternative. In short, embrace your faith, but people should consider that there is more their religions than what people of bygone ages cobbled together for the convenience of holding sway over the people they sought to dominate.
Very simplistic attitude, doesn't require thinking or analysis. If you also believe, in the trinity, the father, the son, and the spirit doctrine, why would the bones be required for a heavenly existence? The answer is, they wouldn't be. By all means believe that Jesus sits enthroned on the right hand of his heavenly father. If you believe in Jesus's return, why would he want to return in a badly damaged skeleton? I would love to meet Jesus in an alternative reality, just as I would love to meet our Queen before she passes on from this reality. Maybe I could get to meet them both, bless them and all those that are genuinely of high moral standing, I sincerely hope there is another dimension for all those who deserve to get there.
@@harryzero1566 That is utterly asinine-we are told explicitly that Christ will return as He left. This was intact, in human (flesh) form. As such, His bones cannot possibly be here since HE HAS NOT RETURNED yet. But, He’s close so you may want to rethink your attitude.

I read Simcha Yakobovich's book on the subject. I wasn't even a Christian at the time and I still found most of it way too speculative to be taken seriously. But my opinion matters little when compared to the blood shed by the apostles and martyrs who refused to compromise their faith in the resurrected Christ. Heard someone say "many people have tried to carry the bible to the grave, they die and the word of God lives on forever." Thanks Joel, please keep up the great work.
In the 16th year of Tiberius in the 5th month and the 29th day (april 15, 27 AD) Yashua of Natsurat (Jesus of Nazareth) was tried and convicted of treason, sedition and rebellion then crucified. Twelve days later his body was reported as missing. This is a record from the Roman Empire found in Vatican archives in 1996. In our Bible it says third day He was resurrected, However we are talking about government efficiency, It took 9 days for the information to get recorded due to people tasked with stopping the body theft not wanting to claim responsibility for it. Pilot was called before Caesar Why did you crucify him Pilot explained his reasons which were purely Political. Tiberius screamed That is why you had 3 legions! the rebellion of 70 AD can be laid squarely at Pilots feet! He Sent to what is now Cardovia, Spain where he was tried, convicted, and executed for sedition against Rome!
Not only do your videos help to support the truth, but seeing that you also would disprove the lies is such a service to the common Christian that I have to than God for your mission. Please know your labors have blessed my faith greatly.
It shows there are people who are desperate to deny that Jesus died and rose physically from the dead. They are so desperate that they resort to misleading deceptions and outright lies to prevent others from believing about Christ and trusting in his atonement for sin to be saved from condemnation. I rebuke such people in the name of Christ.
Angry atheist: “It says ‘Jesus son of Jospeh. How many others could there be? Game over.” Annoyed Christian: “Dude, your name is Mike Jones. I work with four other guys named Mike Jones. You sure you wanna say ‘game over’?” Angry atheist: “SHUT UP!”
Jesus’ physical body had to resurrect. If he didn’t, and his body remained in the tomb, nobody would believe in Him that He is God. His body is resurrected and He did in fact ascend to Heaven.
@@DaleBrose They actually are. The bones actual are inside Jesus resurrected body. You're being ridiculous to claim otherwise. Jesus is in His glorified PHYSICAL body, not just the spiritual one.

@@nathanielalderson9111 Fair question and I will give you a two-part answer. First is that I will always comment on content created and give an opposing opinion or viewpoint on this subject. I don't have an objection to Jesus. I cannot have an objection to a fictional character. However, I do have an objection to Christianity especially in the face of rising Christian Nationalism in the US. I believe that Christianity is a dangerous force and has been since the 3rd century. I doubt most Christians have a good understanding, if any, of origins of what they believe is true. They simply accept what they are told. I know a few Evangelicals that openly admit they do not know the bible very well. Yet, they have a world view that others should live by it. I don't think many Christians have ever studied the origins of their faith and have no understanding of the time and place that it arose from.
It’s like in Goodfellas where at the wedding she meets 2 dozen men all named Peter or Pauli and all them were married to women named Marie who then named their daughters Marie. Roman Catholics and Jews are famous for this.

Watch the testimony videos from One With Israel on UA-cam. The stories of Jewish people who accept Jesus Christ as their savior. Some of their stories about how their families and community lie about the New Testament is eye opening. And how they skip over the prophecies of Isaiah in their upbringing.
1st 2 minutes got under my skin, until i realized you were exposing the manipulation of that un-discovery show. Great video, for readers before viewers: don't skip ahead, must watch video in entirety
So what that tomb actually shows is that the people in the New Testament where common people and no extraordinary people with mystical names having a halo around their heads. Also that the Son of God was called Jesus - a quite common name at that time - shows that he really became one of us.
Let me know when they find one that says, "Son of God". Next. He wasn't the son of Joseph. Peter and his followers called him the Christ and the Son of God. "Lord".
In the historic book of Joseph of 70 AD, there were many names of "Jesus". I believe even today among the Israelites, there are still some persons to be named "Jesus", the same as in Hebrew "Joshua". Each of your videos is sooooooo wonderful.
Our Heavenly Father is faithful. I know he will provide. The Lord gives us strength, it’s only because of the Lord I have persevered. I have two beautiful boys both are autistic. My husband passed away years ago. I’m all alone. I lost my job over declining the vaccine. LIKE MANY OTHERS! I declined due to my pre existing health conditions lupus and heart disease. I’ve been struggling to provide for myself and my children since losing my job from Forsyth hospital. I’m now waitressing, and I’m thankful, but I’m not making nearly enough to get by. Gas and groceries are super expensive. Already rent is due again. Every month is a battle to not end up on the streets with my two boys. I’m constantly in fear of losing my home. But even as I face homelessness seemingly every month. I have faith, God will provide. He has this far. Thank you Jesus.
Been happening for 2000 years, unfortunately. People are desperate because they don't want to face the truth. Or the way. Or the life. Jesus rules. But there will come a day when every knee should bow.
THEY were trying to fight the Battle that Jesus Has already WON. The Devil had already lost the Battle when Jesus died on the Cross and Rise again..and went to Heaven.
False Teachings!!!! Jesus’ bones went with him when he was resurrected and ascended to heaven. He was NOT married either, ridiculous! Some people will do/say anything to get attention.
Where the actual burial and resurrection of the Messiah took place bears no matter to me. The only thing that matters is that He rose from the dead and is the only way to eternal life we have!
How many pieces of silver were made in this attempt to deny The Truth? Scripture tells us that the Lord Jesus is resurrected, so that we too will be resurrected. This is our great hope! Thanks EB
I think what makes this even better is that the names of Marry, Joseph and Jesus were so common at the time it was basically your everyday person at the time and that's humbling. Instead of the Messiah coming from a dignified noble last name it was your "Everyday Joe"

I used to faithfully watch The Naked Archeologist with Simcha Yakobovich until I watched all of "The Lost Tomb of Jesus". I was so disappointed and so hurt that he would actively and pompously announce that Jesus was married and had a son. I cannot understand how, after over *two millennia* , Jewish people still reject Jesus as the son of God. Okay, for just a moment let's PRETEND Yeshua wasn't actually raised on the third day, or that when He rose, He was given a new holy body while He left His earthly body behind (I most definitely do NOT believe this, but let's humor the doubters just for a moment). He STILL wouldn't be in the tomb of His family because Yeshua was placed in a tomb owned Yosef of Ramatayim. That's just one of the MANY reasons this whole idea is ludicrous.
Exactly, that’s why it would seem that the lost tomb theory is extremely foolish. Most likely, Jesus family tomb would be located in Nazareth. His family was likely poor so his chances of having a good tomb near Jerusalem is unlikely. Plus, if we’re trusting the Bible that Jesus was actually crucified and died, we should also accept that multiple gospels explain that he was put in Joseph of Arimathea’s tomb. He wouldn’t have been buried with his family. I think this whole “lost tomb” theory is very baseless and seems like a foolish pursuit.

The real issue is that the world finds it imperative to dispute the resurrection. Only one person would champion that cause and he is not worth mentioning.
Given the fact that Jesus of Nazareth was buried in the tomb of Joseph of Aramethia I don't see his family & friends being buried there but of course he's no longer there because he has risen and now sits at the right hand of the father.
I am a believer, and I enjoyed this video with the exception of choosing to end it with a weak argument/insinuation that lack of believers at the Talpiot tomb on Easter is another indication that it couldn't be Jesus' tomb... If people actually believe the Talpiot tomb IS Jesus' tomb, then he was a man who died and decayed like everyone else. Why in the world would people visit that tomb on Easter Sunday? I'd be more surprised if someone did. I enjoyed the video anyway, thanks for making it.

@Expedition Bible Thank you so much for making this film. I had recently watched the James Cameron documentary and it left me questioning mainly their view. There is something fundamentally wrong with the logic of a possible tomb for Jesus. According to scripture, the women found an empty tomb. And according to scripture, Jesus was in the flesh (Thomas was offered to touch his wounds) when he rose to heaven. That has to imply that there was no flesh to be buried and no need for a tomb. And no possible bones left on Earth.

@@DaleBrose and I hope God lights your path, and is a lamp unto your feet. I'm what you would call a baby Christian but I have a passion for history so if you can point me in the right direction, I would really enjoy digging deeper into what you're talking about.
@@s.s.9149 Im not here to strengthen nor to cast shadow on your faith. But if you look at history to form your path to faith, then I think you will be dissapointed in what you will find if you do an honest examination of history and compare it to what the church and the faith teach today. I am not a believer but I am a passionate student of history and love learning about the origins of faith. To learn about the people and culture of that time and how they arrived at a certain faith. When approached from the perspective, Christianity becomes a very interesting study. I don't think many Christians today even think about the history of their faith and the world of a first century Jew and how that could give rise to fringe groups like the messianic or apocalyptic jewish movements of the first century or groups like the Essenes (2nd Century BCE to 1st century CE). But imagine that you are a first century jew and you life pretty much revolves around the temple and the Holy of Holies where you have been told your entire like is the dwelling place of the God of Israel. But your land is occupied by Roman soldiers and they have put their government in place over you. Even your Jewish kings, like Herod 72- 1 BCE were appointed by Rome. Then in about 70AD the Romans destroy your temple and the place where you've been told your God resides and there is no consequences. You're God, the god that you've been told is above all others, has been defeated by pagan polytheists. You think this way because you are very aware of many gods because polytheism is still very common in your world. But again, the dwelling place of your god has been destroyed and burnt to the ground. To me, it becomes very apparent why then, most of the gospels do not even appear until about the time of and after the second temple destruction in 70AD promoting the idea of a Messiah (messianic) that will come to defeat your enemies and push them out of your land (apocalypticism). Since your people are not strong enough to do it, how much hope would the idea of this powerful savior be? I'd imagine it would be pretty powerful. But it was not a message accepted by most Jews and it would remain a marginal fringe group well into the second century. I cannot accept that there are any accurate accounts of an actual Jesus or the events of that time since there is nothing, absolutely zero, contemporary writings about Jesus during his life yet there is a sudden explosion of such writings after 70AD to bring about messianic movements after the destruction of the temple. It's very much the MAGA movement of the first century. Now yes, there are the writings of Paul that pre-date the books of Mark, Mathew, Luke and John. But even these writings were about 20 years after the alleged death of Jesus. So no eye witness account. Did Paul have a moment of enlightenment on the road to Damascus? I doubt it. He had his influences. Remember the Essenes I mentioned above? It's interesting that Paul would suggest that people not get married because the end was near and that is the same or similar belief that some Essenes had well before Paul. All new testament writers drew on their influences from pre-existing faiths and paired them with their innovations to form new ideas. That form of philosophy was common all over the land. Even the writings of Mathew reveal how this or these writers had influences from Zoroastrianism out of modern day Iran. Now, I could write volumes at this point but what forms your view is up to you. I can only share some of the things I take into consideration. I have nothing against faith, it's religion that I don't like. If you seek a faith to give yourself guidance, I wish you well on the journey. If we continue this conversation, I will share the faith and philosophy that I feel most connected to. But if your journey is about adopting a faith and a religion and you are finding yourself moving towards the Abrahamic faiths, I strongly encourage you to sit down with a rabbi and have a conversation before fully accepting the Christian faith. The Christian faith is not based on fulfilled Jewish prophecy and you should find out why they do not accept Jesus as the messiah. Now, you can just take the typical Christian position and claim that they are just blind. Or, you can actually sit down with a rabbi and hear them out. But that is not a comment on who you are as a "baby" Christian, that is a comment on who you choose to be a person.
I mean even the Christians the believers are saying not it’s not his bones. But media who does not believers say they are his bones, will just stick with the Bible. That documentary film is a big lie. They like to discredit the Bible and specially Jesus.
Typical Hollywood garbage trying to make people think Jesus is not the savior of the world. We need to pray for these people and their salvation!!!
I agree!!!
Pray for them amen 🙏 and amen

I remember when that "documentary" came out... 🤣😂😆 they are so desperate to prove He doesn't exist.
@@harryzero1566 There’s probably a family tomb for them but JESUS’ Tomb is unoccupied!
Every head will bow and every tongue will confess.
Jesus died on the cross, resurrected and then went to heaven. So no bones are remaining here on earth.

Beautiful quote!

That Documentary deceived so many. And probably still to this day. Thanks
We the Church are His Bride ❤
I believe that Jesus raised from the dead on the third day and went to heaven on the clouds and he will come back on the clouds
Jesus, Mary, Joseph, Judas, and others are very common names during the Lord Jesus’ time. So it’s possible to have families having the same names.
because yeshua is not Yahusha
The disciples could not have secretly taken Jesus body, there where 2 Roman guards at the entrance of the tomb.
I mean even the Christians the believers are saying not it’s not his bones. But media who does not believers say they are his bones, will just stick with the Bible. Thank you for this work on this channel it is another outlet on staying the Lords word and to help me understand. Bless you guys for doing this work under HIS will.
Islam is saying it’s another man’s bones 😂
Matthew 28:12 And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave large money unto the soldiers,
28:13 Saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept.
28:14 And if this come to the governor's ears, we will persuade him, and secure you.
28:15 So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.
No bones of Jesus because Jesus is in Heaven
Agreed.
Would like to give this explanation 10,000 thumbs up. Well done
Very well produced and quite informative.
The movie didn't "fail". It did exactly what these heretics wanted to do: sow the seeds of doubt for gullible people.
Religion depends on gullible people.
@@DaleBrose right. I'm gullible. Yup. The Christian faith is a reasonable, scientifically supported faith. The manuscript evidence, the archeological evidence, the prophetic evidence, and the statistical evidence is overwhelming for the historicity of the Biblical account.
@@ronaldschoolcraft8654 i don't agree with any of that but you do you.
@@DaleBrose 😁 the truth does not change just because you disagree with it. You have likely never even looked at the evidence.
@@ronaldschoolcraft8654 I don't have to agree or disagree with it when it has not been proven to be the truth. All you have to offer is failed prophecy and a false messiah.
