You will love these lights I have 2 on my shrimp tank
Anyone know what pool filter sand he uses?
Video 70 of asking for a tank with some freshwater dolphinfish please.
This tank needed 40 pygmy corys
One of the most beautiful scapes! An identical setup works amazing for Harlequin Rasboras!
Definitely a throwback. The first time you set this tank up, I remember you still had not shown yourself on camera. It's been a fun journey.
Hi MD! I have been through the ringer this year and the one constant I've had is your videos, my partner broke up with me and I had a mental breakdown and your tanks and videos have ( corny to say but) saved my life by calming my mind and giving me something to forget my mess of a life for 20min.
I've been watching you for years because I wanted ideas for a tank of my own, life had other ideas. Thank you for helping forget life's troubles.
💪🏻❤
Glad to have helped you through a tough time. Remember, whenever you are feeling down, observe the feeling, be critical of it as if you are viewing your feelings, and remember that it is temporary. Upward spirals happen as fast as downward spirals. Everything can and will get better ❤ 👍
@@MDFishTanksI appreciate you too mate. Seeing your comment here makes me respect you even more. From down under. 🐟🇦🇺🌏💫🌈
The FishFam saved my life so I completely understand!🌹🌹💚💚
Stay strong, thanks we’ll get better.
great to see how confident kate is becoming infornt of the camera!
For first time aquarium people like me - soak EVERYTHING! Sand, rocks, plants, wood, driftwood - soak it all for a week! I bought a big tub and soaked it all in my backyard. No issues at all - but still glued wood to rock. xx
Kate is so good at finding all the fish. The gold lasers are so nice.
It's like you read my mind, I was thinking about doing a shallow tank at some point as it is something I've never tried. Great video as always.
You really got to stop posting when I should be studying… 😂😂 (al jokes aside, great build as always!)
I feel your struggle
I’m just a chill girl trying to do both
@@kasperskovly292 yeah, probably the case for many young people!
@@Theiconichlo Nice, multitasking is something I would love to be able to do. But in practice not very good at lol
@@jtkeepingfishyears of practice, what I need in life is a new aquarium:)
U r my role modell...by watching you...I also started this hobby
Petition to change the name of a group of cories to a "cuddle." You've got a cuddle of cories :3 Love this build, I think my next one will be a long tank. I really want to keep some hillstream loaches. IDK what it is about those little pancakes but they're so friggen cute. It would have to be a higher flow river scape, and I'd have a shoal of something since the little pancakes are territorial and are definitely NOT cuddlers lol.
Love this idea. I'm definitely doing a shallow tank for my next build. Hillstreams and CPDs maybe. Maybe rice fish instead then no heater required. Hillstreams prefer cooler water anyway. Idk just spitballing some ideas. Gonna be a while before the wife allows another tank 😂. But MD killed it on this one (as usual) and whatever or whenever I do my next I'll be mimicking his style the best I can.
I used to watch you a few years back but then stopped for some reason. Now I think I’ve watched at least 30 videos in the past week, im addicted again. It’s a blessing to have a new video today 😂
I don't know what it is or why, but this is definitely my favorite tank you've ever done. I LOVE the look of this...
Very lovely! A large group of glowlight tetras would look amazing swimming through all the plants, especially the more shaded areas.
Well you got a good deal for a few plants.
Don’t know many retailers who even do this.
Great vid Md as usual 👌🏻
I love a good low boy scape. Such an awesome change of pace.
Awesome video!
I love that your back in shop looking at all the fish. I love all your tanks.
Just letting you know that my new MD style tank I set up, after your demo in Belgium does great 😊
Hear me out. Paint the back walls behind your tanks black. This will make the aquariums look even more dramatic and theatrically lit. Love your channel! ❤
That's a great tank & wonderful concept MD! I can see why you'd want to have that one next to your work station!
You simply never miss! I can’t have any tanks just yet due to my living situation (but I should be able to in about 6 months!!), and I feel way more confident in starting this hobby because of all I’ve learned through your videos. Thanks for being educational and informative in addition to creating crazy beautiful scapes👍
Love the tank how big is it?
I love you going back to your roots. After watching the first video of this set up, I thought I'd like to keep corys some day... now I breed them!! It was fun hearing Kate get excited about the fish at the shop.
Another awesome video. I get excited when you drop a video.Bravo MD!
sometimes the simplest scapes are the most beautiful. like this one... Great work 👍
I have been following you since the shed, this is by far my favorite build !
Lominie should sponsor you. Their stuff is very good value for money. Been using them a few years now and they are outstanding.
I LOVE that huge community tank!
Brother all your tanks are super amazing. Especially the discus one you did recently. Very amazing and inspiring. Keep the fantastic job up brother
This is gorgeous. Well done.
Another work of art
I've had corys for many years, living on 1/2 to one inch, round river gravel and never had a problem. They love going through the crevices between stones. I think missing Barbels are from infections. Tank looks great.
I just want to say your channel is very interesting and enjoyable to watch. I haven't had fish before, but plan to hopefully, and seeing your setups gives me a lot of hope and inspiration.
The tank looks fantastic MD, a tip I find when I go fish shopping is take a picture or 2 of the scaped tank with you it is extremely handy to be able to show the assistant what you are scaping and they can get a feel for stocking it as well and also for you to remind yourself again what the layout looks like
Tony from Rural Western Australia 🇦🇺🦘
Great back-to-the-begining build. I like your aproch towards bottomlayer. I do the same. You were propebly the first I seen doing the, years back. But I also incorperat dryed oak and beech leaves within the bottomlayer. Ala Father Fish. It speeds up building mulch (?). And I am so like you and you wife, so many cute and awesome looking corys. ❤😊
Great build, glad you didn't consume the hardscape with too many plants
Another beautiful build.
I would love to see more update videos on the tanks. Some short 5 min videos. Like when you feed the tank.
Love the look of this. I hope you are going to do a coffee table book of all your scapes someday.
I would buy this!!!
Another awesome scape! Looks amazing.
❤ brilliant to see this tank back, it was my favourite set up of yours from your small shed days , think the original one was the 1st video I watched. Panda cory's are just too cute.
Beautiful tank! Love all the corys! The gold lasers especially
I hope the cories don't bulldoze the substrate quickly. One of the nicest tanks you made, man. Beautiful.
Love your work md you’ve inspired me over the years with so many builds. Starting a new one tomorrow, so this was perfect timing, little bit more inspiration
I would REALLY LOVE to see you do a lucky bamboo setup. With your creativity I will be mystical.
Love that tank! Also got my "boss" hoodie yesterday and love that too!!🐟
THE BEST AQUARIUM EVER
Love the gold Cories I always thought you had to keep male betas on their own, I just bought a new tank for a beta and he will have some friends. Thanks MD 😊
Very cool tank and great to see you revisit an area old setup
That Lighting McQueen was a nice touch.
Awsome, as always ❤❤❤ Cheers from France ❤❤❤
LOVE this tank!
I love how you just insert plants and mine ALWAYS come out with the tank tweezers immediately.....AUGGHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Hi MD Another Great tank idea that I would like to build if i had the resources! I've been watching you forever keep up the good work.
This aqua scape is very awe inspiring!
Super cool as always bro .
Absolutly beautiful!👍
All your tanks look amazing
You’re spoiling us with content 💚
The way they blend with the environment is something I noted. Perhaps we can all pay more attention to that aspect of the hobby - animals naturally camouflage with their environment as a survival mechanism. Meaning that the plants/aquascape that we house them within should "match" their traits/markings like in nature.
Another masterpiece
Love your content 😍❤
Stunning
Hello md fish tank sir please consider this
Corydoras are bottom dwelling fishes they need some dither fish to feel comfortable and see that all is well but you haven't added dither fish thats why they are not swimming as much and resring most of the time
Tey adding small tetras glow light or cardinals maybe cod or platies will work
Hey- have you considered buying an Oscar and doing a grow out on the Oscar fish - they are one of my favourites and like puppy dogs of the fish world they love when you go to the tank to see them and I think people would love to know more about them- it’s just a suggestion but a good one ❤- also please send a reply with your feelings on it- but they grow super fast and just make amazing fish to keep
I love shallow tanks. I wish I knew more about them before buying my regular shaped tanks!
Brother make a hitech aquarium with flat LED light ❤❤❤
Hi MD, lovely build and video, as always. Could you please let us know the dimensions of this tank? I’m doing research and planning for my first tank, once I move into my new home next year, and I’d like to collect relevant videos for reference, it would help to know the dimensions for aquascaping and stocking options etc. thanks!
Hoped you uploaded and here you are!
Every time I see one of your new scapes I want another tank.
Ouuuhhh fancy intro. 😮
It'd be great if you could do a video of your filters and how you have them set up
I've got a 28G lowboy tank, and it's mostly corys and a plakat betta. I've also got some panda loaches. 3 Panda corys, 5 peppered corys, 4 golden laser corys, 3 orange Venezuelan corys, and 11 pigmy corys. I just love corys so much. They're adorable little dummies lol. I'd love to get more, but I don't want to over stock the tank.
great tank and scape! wonderfull!what are the tank dimensions?
We need a short update on tje salt water 🎉.i see it in the background and see that it has grown! ❤
Could you do a budget build with the fluval flex 35.5??? And with the stock light!!
A river goby tank would be cool
Beautiful 🤩
Hi from Portugal. I just started a new tank as your videos reignited this love, and actually bought some lominie lamps, but even though it's not that important, i always wonder if you've ever tried to measure you lighting, not even by PAR numbers, just raw lux, for instance. Your tanks always look so lively and bright. If you could ever do that just for fun and out of curiosity, that would be cool :) thanks!
What is the Size of the Tank?
Hi. What’s the dimensions of this tank?
love your videos! im always curious how you always have more space to get new fish 😂
Is there a specific grain size i should be using of pool filter sand to get the best results while capping?
Wonderful. I do like a natural riverbed tanks
28:42 pov every seasoned fish keeper when it come to adding beneficial bacteria
I have done a pea gravel tank and a pool filter sand tank. I would rather have gravel than sand plants grow way better in gravel. I really want to redo my 55-gallon tank with gravel or aqua soil.
Can you do an update on your marine set up it’s been a while
And have you ever thought about doing a larger cichlid set up involving Severus Oscars talapia green terrors acaras etc
How big is this tank?
I have Corys on gravel, never had any issues.
i got red tails and i dont really know what enviroment they hae to bein so maybe you could make a video about making a fish tank for red tail shark?
“coreys” means something else to me and my mates so it made this video so much better 😂
I just setup my shallow. It had albino corys and chilli raspboras
Give the Betta a mate!
Lovely tank mate!
Ever thought about trying to keep "wild bettas" i.e. not Betta splendes, but Betta smaragdina, B. api api, B. hendra etc?
Are you going to do an update on the saltwater tank love the videos keep it up
Hey man, looks awesome. How do you change the water in your plant backup tanks?
Nice setup as always 🙂. Do you think 3 of these lights can give enough light for a 125cm long, 45cm high hightech tank with rotalas and grass carpet?
love
👍❤️
❤ corydoras
I enjoy your videos, do you sell your floating plants ?
how does he do water changes with tap water in a tank with seriyu stone i swear seriyu stone just makes my parameters go wonky
