@@Arkandos42 idk i have never heard any youtuber say anything bad about the game in a sponsored video ever, and sometimes they even say they cant review the game
There is an easier way to find the resources on the map. Click on the magnifying glass at the top of the screen (the four red / blue buttons) and select the resource you want to see. On the map, the cities that have the resource light up. The minimap only shows the cities with the relevant resource.

This game seems to be a lot like the old Sid Meier's Pirates game I used to play in the '80's just with a more detailed trade and economic aspect.
I keep a special ship for quests and tasks so that you can not need to Interfere with your trade
Can you get a Sloop?
A fast, nimble little ship would probaby be great as a part of your combat fleet.
I believe Sloops are pure merchant vessels. Meaning they can't fight. The smallest Military ship is the Corvette I think
What have you got against Turk's Island?! It's the only Portuguese port you're not trading with!

definitely something going on, it had St. Augustine, Florida as French.
He's not playing a historical campaign. Nations were randomly placed.

Sounds like there is something buggy about warehouses that is ruining the gameplay for most players.
My first attempt I went bankrupt because I built warehouses everywhere and my ships would not be able to get stuff from it unless I explicitly told them to load goods. Also I didn’t know about warehouses selling stuff to the market automatically, as I did not realize you could click them. I’m enjoying it so far, but not sure yet if I would recommend it after a couple of days of playing...
