Honestly a great idea for a channel the world of podcasting has grown pretty dull as a whole there’s several hours of the day I use to listen to podcasts that’s now open that this will now take part in filling
Americans do have shape shifting accents at least I do because I’ve lived in New York New Jersey California Oklahoma Texas Washington Washington DC Virginia Maryland and Missouri so my accents change with whatever phrase I’m using basically
When Simon said to roll for Colin's Agility I thought Tom might make it up on the spot and maybe the video would cut after a sheet had been made, but damn he prepared so well. Good omen for the channel's success with such a high quality GM at the helm.
when tom talked about MÖRK Borg i think it was probably with ben i thought it was just mork borg didnt think it had a meaning but i was just like sure thats a name but now i see on the video title the swedish version of Ø Ö which i didnt catch at first cause im norwegian so i was like hang on a second isnt that swedish the name isnt just nonsense its just brits beeing terrible at pronouncing things
“A naked man should never touch his sister” “I’m never sharing a pair of trousers with you again Ravs” “Peer pressure” So many phenomenal lines from Simon this episode
The only actual play I’ve watched through (over and over again) was Yogsquest 4, a Star Wars EOTE campaign run by Tom, I was so excited when I saw this man’s face at the head of the table! Also Simon is endlessly funny, I’m so excited to watch this campaign
I actually bought the Mork Borg manual/rule book because of how awesome you said it was Tom. I was so pumped up thinking about how cool it must be that I forgot I don't have literally any friends and you can't really solo role play... I mean you can.. but I think they call it 'mental sickness' at that point.
There’s a thousand different discords with people looking for GMs to play with. TabletopObscura, Harfrost and TheHorribleDecember to name a few of the ones I’m a part of. If you want to play that’s more difficult, but it costs nothing to jump on those and ask.
I also bought it after Tom mentioned it. It actually has a separate solo ruleset you can buy called solitary defilement. Haven't given it a go but looks cool
@@Winter-ut3bb Sounds less like a RPG and more so an act of RPM... if you get my meaning. I'll have to check it out though. I mostly looked at the pretty pictures and then thought "Man, I bet this would be fun" then put it on my bookshelf. So I'll have to give it a more thorough read. Does sound like a depressing way to spend time... which apparently I'm into, but maybe that's a bit too far for even myself.
Lydia's line at 26:01 was so good. "I have 197 silver. Well actually, _you_ owe my 197 silver and I really need it right now" Its so good, I gotta use that in obe of my games one day.
I thought the Cthulhu sessions were gold but this has managed to take it up another notch. Between this and the Games Night revival what a time to be alive!
Suggestion: Dolmenwood (it's amazing) (Simon as a Grimalkin would be fantastic) AND / OR Stygian Library OR Gardens of Ynn using 'OSE' AND / OR Deep Carbon Observatory You'll love em!
Oh man the cast choice for this series is fantastic. All people I love, and I'm really curious to see how they all do. This is gonna be a lot of fun isn't it!
Honestly he was kind of terrible in this. He kept saying "no" to their attempts to improv. He needs to learn to relinquish some control when he's not the DM.
@@FrostedCreations can you give example?? I didn't notice anything, at least I just put most of what hes done to his character's personality and liked how he was so committed to acting like a snobby controlling lazy used-to-be nobility, as opposed to another person in this character... I could see other people just "going along" with what everyone else is doing, not committing to the character
@@Gunnarr123abc That's called "My guy"ing and it's not good for helping to have a fun game. In the bar the others offered multiple suggestions to deceive the people in the bar, like when Lydia asked him for coin to bribe them, but he just said "no, my character wouldn't do that". And to help he just said "well my character is used to getting his way" without actually doing anything to help. I get that he's playing a posh twat but it leaves everyone else helpless and struggling to work around that character otherwise the story doesn't progress. Also when Ravs tried to kill Simons duck for no reason other than that's what his "crazy" character would do. Fortunately he got punished for that, but what if he had succeeded? Suddenly a fun character Simon had created would be dead and Simon would have no choice other than go along with it.
I'm still watching, but in that specific situation, Lydia asked for way too much silver for a bribe, which Mark's character literally didn't have the money, so I don't think it was him denying improv, it was a situation that wouldn't work. (He even says in another exchange a couple minutes later that he's "not as rich as used to be")
Having all of the disintegrator in one go has already spoiled me. I've always loved the yogs in TTRPGs, and need mooooooore! This channel must be such high effort so super well done and masses of appreciation to everyone involed
OMG that was the funniest series of misadventures I've ever had the pleasure to lend an ear to. My bladder was less pleased as it tried desperately to contain itself. Cheers.
Free League might be one of the best TTRPG producer/publisher out there today. Frankly, it is one thing I have noticed about Swedish-made TTRPGs. The production quality on the books is always superb. Great layout, awesome art, and tightly designed
The voice combined with the dead eyed stare Ravs does for Cardinal Kettle will haunt my dreams, probably my favorite character in this despite how little he talks
This is amazing. I never knew that this channel is what was missing from my life until I watched this episode. Please never stop making these. Tom you're such an amazing DM and anything with Simon turns to absolute gold, paired with Ravs, Big Lyds and Hulmes just makes this such a good group for an adventure.
tom you've done it again. although obviously i couldn't help but hear the mork borg hype a few years back, i didn't really give it a second thought other than "cool art". well, about ten minutes into this and i ordered a copy of the book (and wow, what a book! it's such a well-made artifact). so they and chaosium owe you commissions
This was fantastic, I'm so glad ya'll roll with the punches so well, in the spirit of the game for sure is the way to go. I'm excited for the next run in MÖRK BORG

I love how the title blurb to each video is different and acts like a cold open without spoiling anything about what's in the video. It's so clever!

Tom is brewing sth special here. I really like the recurring intros. Reminds me of the Simpsons:)
😊😊
Simons "no I prefer missionary" was absolute gold!
i wonder what the "jester position" looked like in his mind lmao
Cronky Bungus' bomb fumble is Simon's grenade incident just in an alternate universe.
The idea that once in every universe there is a version of the Cronky Bungus Bomb Fumble is very discworld.
holy shit it is too
Nice throwback
I was surprised that none of them made the connection.
it's a canon event
Gotta love Hulmes going somewhat realistic, and then immediately being followed by the Bunguses.
I do believe that the plural of 'Bungus' is 'Bungi'
My favourite thing in anything is when Tom does a character that goes "It's me, [Character Name]" in that one voice
It's wonderful and all of them are incredibly good boys and/or girls.
I just expect him to say Alistair Biggins each time!
I love the fact that Lydia just keeps making stuff up about Simon's character and he just rolls with it!
Simon's absolute fumble and the incredible preparedness of Tom made me howl!
Fucking amazing
When Simon said to roll for Colin's Agility I thought Tom might make it up on the spot and maybe the video would cut after a sheet had been made, but damn he prepared so well. Good omen for the channel's success with such a high quality GM at the helm.
Makes me sad for all those prepared characters that never see the light of day he makes.
The first voice had me dying.
I can already tell this is going to be my new favorite channel
Me too I've been so deprived of dnd roleplay call of cthulu and such I've rewatched all the old series so many times at this point I'm so happy
same!!! i just finished the disintegrator and it was amazing!
Oh yeah, me too
@@tom8636 I never watched these rp videos until this channel, ive been missing out
8:07 Fun that Simon and Lydia decided to show up and RP as Bouphe and Osie.
Crunky Bungus will be played by Warwick Davis in the film adaptation of _The Goblin Grinder_
Praise be to Collin the Duck, he who will lead the feathery revolution!
You'd have to be Quackers to not support our Ducking Overlord.
Simon set a precedence for how hilarious this campaign and future campaigns are going to go, and I am here for it.
"how about your character though?"
Oof.... Simon starting out with a drive-by headshot lmao
If anyone is interested “mörk borg” is Swedish and means “dark fortress”
Or in English: murk borough!
The one time swedish actually sounds exactly like it does in the muppets
I'm swedish and I didn't even notice that until you said it, I thought it was just some wacky rando
What a beautiful language
when tom talked about MÖRK Borg i think it was probably with ben i thought it was just mork borg didnt think it had a meaning but i was just like sure thats a name but now i see on the video title the swedish version of Ø Ö which i didnt catch at first cause im norwegian so i was like hang on a second isnt that swedish the name isnt just nonsense its just brits beeing terrible at pronouncing things
What a star studded cast! Cant wait for more.
Lydia is a national treasure that must be protected at all costs.
Mostly from herself, but protected none the less
Simon has such a quick wit, always a pleasure to see him in a roleplaying scenario.
A Tabletop roleplaying Game, run by Tom with Simon _and_ Hulmes?
This channel is like paradise!
The Duke and Jingly John is the best possible combination of Mark Hulmes and Angory Tom I could possibly imagine
I fucking lost it when the jingles played while he got the shit kicked out of him 😂
“A naked man should never touch his sister”
“I’m never sharing a pair of trousers with you again Ravs”
“Peer pressure”
So many phenomenal lines from Simon this episode
“What about your character though?”
X2
Crunky is my favourite character in any tabletop game. Too bad he was so short lived.
he died as he lived: bungusing it up
As short a life as the fuses on his bombs.
The Simon and Lydia duo, across the channels, across the ages, across the many magical moments, is such a beautiful combination of hilarity and chaos.
Jingly John is my new favourite tom character
Petition to have each of Tom's intros gradually tie into eachother into an extended cinematic Angory-verse
Simon, Ravs, Lydia AND HULMES!! this is an iconic group (love seeing hulmes outside of high rollers stuff!)
Simon's comedic instincts are just too good. the world needs him to be unleashed.
Would've never expected Mork Börg as one of the first games on any channel. This is gonna probs be epic.
Oh boy, I can't wait to see more of Krunkey Bungus in future episodes!
You can always guarantee that any session Tom DM's will be glorious chaos and nonsense.
Off to a cracking start. The world gives off strong Heavy Metal vibes, and the characters are absolutely insane.

You're in luck there's a solo play supplement for it called Solitary Defilement
25:00 Simon asking why they want to save the king is super monty python LMAO
Crunky Bungus and the talking duck is genuinely a UA-cam GOAT moment for me 😂 absolutely hilarious 👏🏻 🦆
3 Minutes into the episode and I'm already laughing my ass off, so happy to see roleplaying content getting its own platform!
Really exited to see mark as a player rather than a DM for once, must be refreshing for him. So far tho, amazing characters
This was the first actual play that I genuinely enjoyed
For the whole last 10 min of the episode I kept having to pause and get my breath back because I was laughing so hard it hurt.
This is gold, the bonkers world fits the crew so well, can't wait for the next ep!
The real mystery is why this was'nt done sooner, can't wait to binge the lot!
Lydia's line at 26:01 was so good.
"I have 197 silver. Well actually, _you_ owe my 197 silver and I really need it right now"
Its so good, I gotta use that in obe of my games one day.
Simon and his bloody bombs/grenades, the universe is really trying to tell him something.
I really love how everyone really just throws into this all the way, and has fun with it. The table banter and the plays have been great so far.
"I mean, a rat could have bitten it off...you never know" - Very much appreciate that Jingle Jam oneshot reference
I thought the Cthulhu sessions were gold but this has managed to take it up another notch. Between this and the Games Night revival what a time to be alive!
49:44 this is when we can see the life trying leave Tom's eyes because of the fumble.
You know it will be a great game wen it takes about 6 mins to get thur the chaos of saying ur characters So hyped
I rewatch yogsquest probably every 6months knowing there's going to be a pipeline makes my year
Suggestion:
Dolmenwood (it's amazing) (Simon as a Grimalkin would be fantastic)
AND / OR
Stygian Library OR Gardens of Ynn using 'OSE'

Deep Carbon Observatory
You'll love em!
+4 hours of content uploaded in one day + the episode on toms original channel. Praise Sigmar
Oh man the cast choice for this series is fantastic. All people I love, and I'm really curious to see how they all do. This is gonna be a lot of fun isn't it!
Heard Tom geek out about MORK BORG on a stream once, couldn't be happier to have seen this video title, this is gonna be awesome!
This is the best Mork Borg playthrough that captures exactly how this game should be played. Leaning right into the silly. Loved it
Always lovely seeing Mark as a player!

The bells jingling along the punch sfx is much appreciated.

I used to be salty that games night pivoted to wargaming but now we have mystery quest who cares!
OMG that was the funniest series of misadventures I've ever had the pleasure to lend an ear to. My bladder was less pleased as it tried desperately to contain itself. Cheers.
Self note Jingly John at 11:56, 26:25, 30:51.
Lovely, just lovely. Nothing beats the madness of a full table of yogs. :)
That Tom character sheet future sight was genuinely impressive.

Tom this channel was a golden move always loved the old rp
Holy hell, that nat 1 and then the Collin the Duck intro. Most hilarious thing I've seen in awhile.
This is exactly the kind of video that got me watching the Yogscast in the first place! So excited for this channel!
Yesss! I've wanted to find a MÖRK BORG campaign for a while now. The book for it is so cool!
More Mork Borg please! Best TTRPG I’ve played in years
I've found myself doing the 'Jingly John' voice as my default mocking/spoof voice now, thanks Tom. Thom.
This is the most fun I have had watching an online TTRPG. Such great interaction and no five minutes deciding what to do with a bonus action. :D
I think I almost died laughing just about the whole time
Howled with laughter the entire time. Can't wait for the next episode🤣
This episode had me in stitches. Jingly John is a national treasure.
I've already binged all the content, and now the empty hole in my chest eagerly awaits the next upload with a deep-set hunger.
The voice combined with the dead eyed stare Ravs does for Cardinal Kettle will haunt my dreams, probably my favorite character in this despite how little he talks
Love toms way of adapting to players insane choices 😀
Havent been this excited for a new yogs channel since Team Double Dragon or Lewis and Ben Save The World.
I've been missing this kind of rpg content from the yogscast for a long time glad to see its back ^-^

Smile on my face from start to finish. Magic.
tom covering his face after the fumble and learning how much damage a bomb does is a feeling every GM has experienced at least once
This is the most fun I've had listening to an actual play. So funny!
man this is great with the editing and all the people playing ridiculous characters but with so much dedication
I can't tell whether my favourite character is Crunky Bungus or Jingley John 😂
That bomb blunder fucking killed me man. Great ab workout.

A man in a Ghost shirt playing Mörk Borg. That's two of the best things from Sweden. RPG:s and Metal Music :)
"it was perfect everything down to the last minute details"
Pre-watch comment: Bruh I am so excited to see Mark (AKA sherlock hulmes AKA best DM ever) play as a player!
Aw the whole group is so fun, I love the yogscast
Love this so far, one of my new favourite channels 😂😂😂😂😂
All of these characters are hilarious.
Absolutely love MORK BORG - brilliant system and great for setting a vibe :)
The instant roaring of flames kicking in when Tom decides that "yeah, it's all on fire now too" was gold
Fantastic role play, keen to see what follows
Can't believe we need to wait a whole week for another episode. Already love this and can't wait for more
I laughed so incredibly hard watching this. Thank you so much. I don't think I'll ever get economically conjoined twins out of my mind.
Really enjoyed this and actually laughed out loud! Keep up the good work 👏
My favorite part of this video is when it came out a day after the channel came out
Just gosh darn incredible, had me burstin' out laughing like how Bungus bungled and burst from the bomb
This was fantastic, I'm so glad ya'll roll with the punches so well, in the spirit of the game for sure is the way to go. I'm excited for the next run in MÖRK BORG
This is the most I've laughed in a long time. Great stuff Tom :)
Omg, this is the funniest scenario I've seen in my life... I can't believe this isn't pre-written comedy!
