With more than 600.000 inhabitants Glasgow is the largest city in Scotland. Most of the historical sights and buildings as well as a number of large murals are located in the center making it easy to explore the city by walking. Another great thing is that most of the museums are free of charge.
One of the highlights for me was the Glasgow Necropolis, a Victorian cemetery located on a very prominent hill to the east of Glasgow Cathedral.
I met up with Kathi who lives in Glasgow for more than 4 years to get to know the trendy parts of the city such as the Hidden Lane in Finnieston and the SWG3 followed by one of the must things to do in Glasgow - ia proper whiskey experience and a night out with live music!
In the series „Life by the River“ I’m about to show you things to do on & off the beaten path focussing on hip & trendy areas with the help of locals in Glasgow, Manchester and Liverpool. Follow along this series for useful travel tips and many insider spots you can use to prepare for your trip to Glasgow, Machesert or Liverpool

That video certainly enhanced my opinion of Glasgow. 3 cities that are very impressive but are slowly evolving from the past.

I'm moving back to Glasgow, where I grew up, after five years in London, and this proper gave me goosebumps, excited to go back. Can't believe how much has changed. Just can't get used to people referring to Finnieston as "hip" though...

Great video. I'm thinking of relocating and it was really good to see some of these sights, as opposed to the main tourist attractions focused on in a lot of other videos.

It is pretty interesting to see my city from the perspective of a tourist, especially since I study tourism. The Necropolis is a great place to visit, although I swear I've been twice and it rained both times.

Glasgow is the dear green place it has many parks the city sprawls over to the Southside home to pollok park and the area of shawlands which is full of bar restaurants shops then you have the West end of the city too which is very vibrant there are so many hidden gems throughout the city Glasgow is a great city it is still recovering from industrial decline there are new regeneration projects taking place throughout the city Glasgow always re invents itself hopefully the city will continue to get better in the future with more new investment one thing is glaswegians are very friendly people really do make Glasgow great

So as someone who doesn't drink tea or alcohol, are places like breweries, tearooms, and pubs worth going to for the food and music?
