      Glad it helped. Mine has been a work horse. I love it. Let us know how you like it if you get one.

    Appreciate the review. I’ve been debating snagging one of these for my wife since my spare 12ga. is a little too much for her. I hear a lot of mixed reviews on the Facebook groups about the Stoegers, but I love my inertia driven Benelli and hearing some positives from a reputable source, such as yourself, has me swayed. 👍🏻

      Glad it helped. I started with Franchi and then went to Benelli, but when I wanted a 20, I h3ld the Stoeger and was impresses with the feel. Figured why not? Of I wasn't gonna st8ck with a 20, I could pass it down to a son and it wouldn't break the bank. But like I said, since picking it up, I haven't put it down. I have one hunting buddy that has shot a 12ga Stoeger for everything, including ducks for.over 13 years. My buddy Lance has one that this is his 10th season. He never cleans his and it has been flawless. Looks like hell, but reliable. I knew those two guys had them and figured, 5hey can't be that damn bad. Lol. The feel is not Benelli, but for a fraction of yhe price, it is built well

      Thanks for the comment Phil. It really is a great gun. Love mine. Keep trying to hunt with my 12 ga, but can't seem to put down the 20 Stoeger. Keep going back to it

    Franchi and stoeger recoil springs are in the forend. The benellis only have them in the stock.

    Great review man very informative. The weight issue is a big factor at times you are correct. You made me want to go get a Stoeger! I gave my son my 20ga browning automatic a couple years ago, but finding 3inch 20ga magnums has been really hard! Where have you been getting your shells? Kelly

      Thanks Kelly. Glad it helped. I want to get back to doing more reviews like this. I started out with a Franchi, then a Benelli, then back to a Franchi, and now the Stoeger in the 20. All were great to me honestly. I bought shells last season from Boss, but have been purchasing Hevi Steel this season from Academy. I also don't stray away from 2 3/4. Have shot many ducks with them as well

      @@LastStopWaterfowlOutdoors I went out today and bought me the newer m3020 and man I’m impressed with the weight and new design it’s a bad ass gun for $600.. I just can’t bring myself to spend money on a nicer gun because I’m going to use the gun hard and only in salt water and like I said I’ve had zero problems with my m3500 and I’ve shot thousands of rounds through it and beat the living crap out of it

    I went with the Franchi Affinity 3 12 gauge over the Benelli and the Stoeger. Not as expensive as Benelli and from the research i did its more reliabe than the Stoeger.

      I own several Franchis as well, and have had zero problems. Great gins. When I bought my 20 Stoeger, they were out of stock on the Franchi. Went Stoeger and it has been flawless as well

      Research and durability don’t belong in the same sentence. You can buy a benelli and a stoeger and the stoeger might outlast the benelli. All about how good you take care of your gun and tbh each gun is different. You can always get a dud. But Benelli, Franchi, and Stoeger are all great reliable shotguns. Can’t go wrong with any of them.

    Does anyone sell a magazine tube extension for the M3020 that would increase capacity by two rounds but not extend the tube beyond the end of the barrel? Tks.

    What is the recoil like with the 3 inch shells with this lighter gun

    • @LastStopWaterfowlOutdoors
      @LastStopWaterfowlOutdoors  Рік тому

      Thanks for the question Danny. Not much recoil at all. Much less than my 12 ga for sure. It's really a "soft" shooting gun

    What is your choke/ shell combo for duck hunting with this stoeger 20 gauge?

    • @LastStopWaterfowlOutdoors
      @LastStopWaterfowlOutdoors  Рік тому +3

      Appreciate the question. 90% of time, I'm using the stock modified with #4 or 5. We shoot alot of birds in the 20-30 yard range.

    • @LastStopWaterfowlOutdoors
      @LastStopWaterfowlOutdoors  6 місяців тому

      Trigger pull os right in line with many other shotguns I have pulled in similar price points. I shoot alot of different shotguns and this little gun holds its own. Only time will tell, but this will be year 3 and all good so far

      I have continued to use m8ne again this hunting season and it has operated flawlessly. As a matter of fact, I just got a new 12g for Christmas and took it out a few times and like it too, but just picked my 20g Stoeger back up the last 2 weekends because I like it so much. I'll just uses both throughout the seasons. Lol. Good luck if you do get one
