Everyone is crying about the features and the price, but the Move only costs €120 more than a Model:cycles/samples but offers more than Samples + SP404 combined and has a speaker and battery. If Elektron had released this hardware, everyone would celebrate it, and the screen on the model isn't bigger 😉
Agree , also there is massive potential here access to all the instruments and effects. I forgot to mention that you can also use a midi keyboard too, so ultimately flexibility.
@@slakk5093 What I will miss is Auto Chop and Timestretch... But I think I can live with that, I already have a lot in my library. What do you miss in the Move?
@@slakk5093 Agree. For those of us who have previous experience with grooveboxes that are half-baked (e.g. Novation Circuit), it is not even necessary to buy this hardware to know that, once the initial illusion of the new is over, what remains is the depth of editing that it treasures, and what happens is that it ends up being forgotten like an arcade video game in which you play from time to time, but there comes a moment when you get lazy because you already know all its limitations. If they had given it 8 tracks and a minimum of synthesis editing, it would have had a much better chance. Always IMO :)
@@vxd yah, the ending of the marketing video for Move Manager really seems misleading in that it implies you can do this though. Hopefully they do add it one day.
In Canada, the exchange rate brings the price to $615, but with sales taxes, it jumps to $707. So ... I guess it will not be very popular around here ...
@markkilley2683 it'd unlikely as most of my workflow is entirely laptop based. Maybe if the price goes down or I get a free one to review from Ableton :))
They should have charged twice the cost and have us the replaceable battery and upgradable processor.. I would have got it then but honestly I would rather use my ko2 then this honestly. It is not quite there to make full productions.

Also there is a three month payment plan which is nice and makes it more affordable (for me)
@@Wyldinger but does it really? If nice you look a bit deeper it’s pretty limited. I nearly bought one but once I dig deeper I changed my mind

price is pretty decent - considering the incoming discounts and 2nd hand prices. Really cool device with tons of huge secret stuff planned
I agree there's more to come from this unit, that's for sure! you like best about it so far?

For me it would be worth it if you could export stems from Move Manager but unfortunately you can only get the whole set as a wav.
Maybe they will introduce the feature, it's still all pretty new
