    Karoline I take offense you said I wasted my time watching this! It was the best work day break 😆😆 was lovely to see you and Fayla as always! You did look lovely in the Kerr sweater, looking forward to seeing your own version 🙂

      Hahahaha apologies Sophia 🫣😂 I love watching a podcast to break up the day.
      I’m so excited for my own, I just cast it on yesterday. Picked woolyknit British wool in cream nepp and planning on dark grey colourwork, think it’ll look really smart!

    I enjoyed the new format - a little more conversational and casual than some. I love when Fayla is part of your podcast - she is a delight and I would be happy to see even more of her. (Our youtube account is under my husband's name - so I am not him :) My name is Charlene....if it even matters!

      Thank you so much for your wonderful comment Charlene ❤️ Maybe I’ll give Fayla her own little segment at the end, she seems to be a fan favourite!

    Is there anybody still lurking here, or have you all moved to the 2023 already? 😅 I'm binge watching some of your older episodes; missed most of the Autumn YT videos as I was too sad to enternain myself 😔 May I just say, that your knitting podcast is a league of it's own and a genre of it's own. Absolutely love your structure, format, pace and sense of "friends sharing a passion" vibe 🧡
    All the best for you and your work!

    I like the Celaena socks for DK weight. I tested that pattern, it’s got an easy repeat that keeps it interesting and it’s pretty easy to remember. I find that while vanilla is a nice easy project, it can be boring.

    Dogs are great conversation facilitators, and so is knitting. Many times while I was knitting outside a cafe, someone will come by and ask what I'm making (another knitter) ask what I am doing, or reminisce about family who do/did knit. It is one of my favorite things about public knitting. I recently met a group of knitters, when one invited me to join their group. Since I learned during Covid, this is my first in-person group!

    • @KarolinesKnits

      I haven’t knit enough in public because I’ve not been asked yet - that sounds fun though! I do need to do it more. The in person group sounds wonderful.

    For the Perfect sock yarn I'd recommend the Sunday socks. Such an easy pattern and that's actually one of the recommended yarns! I've made striped socks before to use up different colours.

    Could you please tell me who makes the lovely tartan project bag? I am looking for one for quite some time and this is the first one that is not too bulky. Thanks for the lovely episode

      I don’t think they have any tartan in stock but they’re from midwinter yarn - they’re also linked in the description 😊

    Hi Karoline, I left a message on your ravelry as well. I am knitting the Karl Johan sweater right now, and ready to split for sleeves. I have the exact total number of stitches called for on my needles (340). However, when I go to set aside the sleeve stitches between the raglan markers, I only have about 32 sts whereas the pattern calls to set aside 71. If I have the total number stitches right, do you happen to know what I did wrong? Did you have this issue?

    • @KarolinesKnits
      @KarolinesKnits  Рік тому +1

      No I don’t remember having any issues, sorry! I followed the biggest size but didn’t do all the increases (think I skipped one round) and knowing me I probably didn’t count. You’re probably best to message KFO 😊
