- I show you how to fix a Google Pixel 5a phone that is stuck in a continuous boot loop or keeps restarting/rebooting over and over again. If tried all the steps and still no go remember to keep trying again up to 7 times. If this worked for you plz LIKE this video and comment which step worked for you. All i would add for myself - Took me 2 x to figure out: make sure you are doing it AGGRESSIVELY! I am a big guy and it only worked when I was pressing the POWER button as fast and as hard as I could. Good luck!

Spamming the power button while charging did it for me! It broke the boot loop and the phone started up.
I had tried pressing the power button and volume down button simultaneously but that didn't work. Same with the power button and volume up button. No combination of pressing and holding worked.

Went through everything the first time and I was still stuck. Freezer killed the battery but it booted up in a loop again. After seeing the power button spam working for a lot of people in the comments, I repeated that step and I'm up and running again. Thanks for the video

verizon in nebraska had no recommendations, the data recover store they recommended wanted me to ship the phone to California and quoted me $900 - $3900 for data recovery. Smashed the power button 150 times and then chugged a beer while turning it on- ill give you credit on this one but we cannot discount the power of prayer and cold beer.

Very helpful video. Just thought I would share that while repeatedly pressing the power button my phone started sounding an alarm and called 911. Was not expecting that. During this exercise the SD card was removed. I am still working to resolve my black screen, only on round 2/7. Thanks

I have a 6a. I've tried all of these suggestions but it still enters a boot loop, whether from the Fastboot Mode screen, the No Command screen or the Rescue screen. It's still under warranty so I'm reluctant to tap. I haven't backed up my photos so would like to avoid factory reset. If I take it to a tech guy is there anything else they can try? Thanks.

Wanted to add my two cents and say thanks along with hundreds of others here. Spammed the power button and it worked to get the phone out of the boot loop. Loose power button might have had lint stuck in there is my best guess. Thank you again!
Dude, I went thru all the steps and on the 2nd time thru all of them, the spamming power button worked... kind of. It interrupts the boot loop momentarily, long enough for me to put in my password and get to the home screen, but then it immediately goes back into a boot loop. I've gone thru the cycle three times now of spamming, unlocking, going back into boot loop. every time it goes back in. So frustrating! Any tips at this point?

WOW! You are a lifesaver! Can't believe this worked. For me it was 15 min in the freezer, plug in the phone to charge and then tapping the on/off button like a crazy person. It worked. No idea why, but it worked. Thank you!

I had a rebooting issue with my Pixel 3 XL, and I cannot acces Safemode or other maintenance menu without the phone rebooting, making it dead.

It works! Especially the tapping and massaging method. I have to do this about every 4 months. Be careful with the spamming button method, your phone is default to call 911 when you press the button 5 times in a row. It happened to me. You can turn off that function in settings
Restarting bootloader once the phone's lockscreen showed up works but it did start another bootloop after a couple of hours. Any solutions? Mine's a pixel 4a

I got some water in the phone 3 weeks prior and my proximity and light sensors were dead since then. Somehow, my pixel 4a went crazy an hour ago with all the bootlap thing (out of the blue). Found your post and 5 mins into the video - bam !! Even the sensors work again.
PS: Could it be a sort of a system feature/bug saving itself from water damage by shutting down a few components or did I just got lucky.

We had a Pixel 5 stuck in the boot cycle. It looked pretty grim, nothing from the video worked. But after letting the phone complete die over night then plugging it in and spamming the power botton it work! Thanks for the help
I was really hyped about spamming power button after reading the comments, unfortunately that did not do the trick for me, even after exhausting most of tips on-line. I found a single forum post advising to lightly hit the power button against something solid, like a table edge, and it actually worked! I'm not sure I would try that if I did not hear about spamming from your video, so points to you. (Just remember to add some padding inbetween if your table is made of softer wood - learnt that the hard way, lmao)

Thanks, playa. It was a jam fix for me. Sticking the fingernail between the housing and the button helped as well to create space for whatever it was to get loose and fall out of the way.
