Title: Can I survive 28 days as an Engineer in 7 Days to Die?
#7d2d #7daystodie #gameplay
7 days to poop
poetry.
Honestly never got into 7 days to die but oh boy does this video make me want to give it another go
Oh, please do. I would watch the hell out of a 7DTD series from you
In my experience it's a lot more fun multiplayer to be fair, provided you're able to block out around 30-40 hours as a group........
@@HazzorPlaysGames@thespiffingbrit
What I'm hearing is you two should play it together
Yes, please do!
@@JakeTalksGamesYT *In Mike Tyson voice* Now kith.
Hey folks, Alpha 21 is a bit weird hey? I don't get to rush my motorbike and smg crafting as quickly anymore... or do I?
I didn't really look at any A21 content before playing this so I might have missed some pretty crucial stuff, let me know if you know better.
hello Hazzor, how are you
Fantastic, thanks for asking.
I personally really like the magazine system. It feels like actually meaningful progression whereas in alpha 20 stuff felt so luck based.
Do more engineer 7 days.
You could have done a ladderbase. Those are also effective, just look down and shoot. The Zombies will be in a straight line and if you have AP ammo its even more effective!
28 doesnt sound impressive but then you play for 1 week ingame and realise how difficult this game is
There is a certain ramp to it, nevermind the fact that each day is an hour by default.
Only at the start really u can't handle dogs, ferals and rads
Yh the start is awful, then its just easy. I was interested in alpha 21, handt played since 18 so was interested to see what had been done. QUESTS thats what had been done. Maybe more slightly interesting towns. Game is bad still
@BXFISTIcefreestylers slightly agree with this. I wouldn't call the game bad, especially since it's one dude developing it, but it definitely needs more time. It's been in alpha for a decade with barely any progress.
It does get boring and repetative fast tho
Yes and no , difficulty is based on gamestate who is based on your level , by Rushing quests and farming xp he made last horde night harder for himself , farming xp is a bit of trap
First time ive seen 7 days to Die in awhile and im at a loss of where the hell 10 years of development shows in the game.
Yeah, and now they are just using systems inspired by other games, sad.
every update seems to vastly change the leveling systems and progression massively, they are completely undecided on how the game should progress, its still fun, but they wont make their mind up
You would think that, after 10 years of 'active development' that a game would be finished, but what do I know.
There's a reason this game singlehandedly created the "game stuck in early access for all eternity" stereotype
Yeah how does this game look exactly the same?
Meanwhile you have a game like Project Zomboid which sometimes gets mocked for still being in Early Access but over the years it has changed SO much and buying it as is, is more than justified
Ah, 7 Days to Die. It's a bit of a jank mess, but it's a good jank mess.
One of those games I come back to every year or so, play it constantly for like 5 weeks straight, and then forget it exists until I get the craving to be a skrungly little scavenger again. Good times :3
yep, it's a roughly yearly 40-50 hour little treat for me.
The only difference is that this time you lot got to see it too because I'm a UA-camr.
IT IS A GOOD PAIN!
10:20 the pvz music killed me XD
The only acceptable music for when "The zombies are coming"
@@HazzorPlaysGames when you're right, you're right XD
This video of almost entirely questing really shows where the magazine crafting system shines. Too bad it actively discourages you from playing in any other way anymore...
Hilarious! Been playing 7DTD since 2014. Really enjoyed this playthrough, you played like an unwavering champ! Long Live Bart!
Nice to see you play 7 days, also glad to see you blow up. Last time i checked you had like 20k subs
These kinds of crazy elaborate traps and turrets are something I really want to see in Project Zomboid, and in general some more advanced crafting machines as well (which build 42 seems like it will have). A base design I found really effective for 7 days was an elevated platform with diamond shaped holes that dropped zombies into a spike/spinny trap pit, with electric fences at the first point I could shoot at the choke point and around the base’s perimeter. I also had little parapets for the turrets to shoot from that I could open a trapdoor to reload.
Having just discovered your channel from your Stellaris collab with AA, RT, and Spiff, I'm really loving it, your videos are great. Your voice also reminds me of Ahoy
7 Days to Die, the Unity asset flip that's fun.
Watching your play through and hearing some of your commentary, I'm reminded of how feel every time I play 7DTD. A strange mixture of enjoying most of the game play and frustration at development decisions.
You can't sneak in the Plants vs Zombies soundtrack into a zombie game without getting called out 😂😂 loving the smooth editing, keep up the hard work!!
Oof, 7 Days is kinda stuck in early access hell isn't it? It really seems like its barely gone anywhere in five years
I don't really play it often enough to be able to remember what it was like last time I played it if I'm being honest but I do always have a good time at the very least.
No one is talking about the jump clutch at 20:50, so I thought for sure you were breaking legs. I also may be one of the few that love heavy armor.😂
tons of fun been playing this game since 2014 amazing to see how far it has come
Ah, 7DTD. Always a nice little game. Something about its simplicity and difficulty always intrigued me. This is a good reminder to go back, even if the update might not be enough to pique my interest for an extender period of time. If I may make a suggestion, why not try one of those complete overhaul mods? They drastically change the game, and there is very little content on them. It'd be interesting to see you go through some quests, figure out the unique crafting systems and research systems... etc.
I hope your YT career takes off, Hazzor. Your voice is calming, and your sense of humor isn't brash and loud. That's a rarity in a space where screaming is so common.
When I last played 7D2D I used the roof of a hospital as my holdout for horde nights. You're so high up, you can just block off the main entrance and the zombies will opt to tear at the walls below you, eventually causing the roof you're on to crumble. It lasted me for months before the damage got to that point though. Long-range sniper rifle to get shooting experience while you waited was also a great way to kill time.
I almost redownloaded it but the update didn't seem substantial enough for me to bother, great video though.
it's done really well and hit a new peak of concurrent players but I do kinda agree, I think the skill magazine system extends the progression but I can't tell whether I prefer it to the old way...
The game does run better than it used to though (even if it's still not amazing in certain zones) so there's that.
Bart? That isn't Bart. That's the superfan from Oblivion.
you forgot to mention its 76% off on steam for the next 7 days for those who want to get it
You can press and hold E on various stations and structures to get an extended use menu, including the ability to pick them back up without destroying them
only if you've placed a land claim, which you can't place near a trader, which is where I built my home... oops.
@@HazzorPlaysGames as long as the building is inside of the land claim box it counts. I forget how big it is but unless you are like RIGHT against the trader you might be able to make it work.
I was unable to build a land claim close enough to have my stuff in range.

Love the Rimworld music in the background.
I only recently found your channel but youve been posting top tier stuff ever since and even before. Glad I found your channel
Ive had some proper mega runs in seven days to die though it's been a while, really not sure Im sold on this magazine update myself, logically it's not a bad system but it feels kinda wrong to dump my points into a level and then have to hunt down a bunch of magazines to make proper use of it.
It is strange, I am also undecided.
I think it can work but it definitely feels just a touch wonky.
Haha i thought it was the adoring fan at first😂😂😂 didnt even realize it was bart simpson until you said it. Im gonna keep imagining it as the adoring fan
Every new alpha they retool the entire skill system it seems like, tho Its been so long since I played I didn't know they added the bike or the fat hog 😂
It's air alert. Proceed to the nearest shelter. Remember, overconfidence is your weakness
It's what I'm hearing every time from the air alert app.
Where does confidence become overconfidence? I think, that's what they call die.
First time, as person with a star, I'm requesting the "prerogative sponsors" answer))
Confidence becomes overconfidence the moment it gets you killed.
0:16 By Azura, by Azura, by Azura! It's the Adoring Fan!
F to pay respects and F for Fun video. Really enjoy your Rimworld videos too.
13:06
I RECOGNISE THE FACTORIO SOUNDTRACK.
this game constantly changes its skill system
you can pick up existing turrets you just need to place a land claim block near them
Can't do that near trader
This video's most said line: "Now it's time for more questing."
I absolutely love this game and play it frequently with friends
Just like Bart!
11:18 Is this a Darkest Dungeon reference? I may be stupid, I just thought I recognized the line
I remember playing this game something like 10 years ago or so. How the hell is it still alpha. Alpha phase is usally reserved for a year at most
Every time I watch your video I feel like I'm watching the documentary😊
If you want to have "fun" challenge you should try nightly hordes
great job man
Overconfidence is a slow and insidious killer? It sounds like you got that line from a great game. Gonna play it on the channel?
feels weird hearing mark rober music and rimworld music in a 7 days to die video
Lol, mark rober music.
That's the rooftop battle theme from the original Plants vs. zombies.
I have only played 7 Days on the ps4 so seeing all this new stuff is insane. How does the tiered loot stuff work? It used to be like level 0-99 was tier 1, 100-199 was 2, etc until tier 5
They changed tiers to be just 6 tiers, you can craft till tier 5 and tier 6 you can only find and they changed crafting from every skillpoint in the weapon/tool skill tree you wanna have giving you the ability to craft all versions of it one tier higher when you have blueprint or just unlock it with the skill tree to having to find these magazines so now you cant rush stuff and need to unlock everything in the crafting path before crafting best gear from it, going by one tier every few books
I feel like this explanation is pretty shit
Oh nice i really like playing this game but unfortunately i only own console which is about 4 years without a update
For some reason I thought Johhny Bravo instead if Bart Simpson
I'm a long time console player of 7 days and absolutely love the game. I recently got and played the latest version on PC, and frankly, I'm disappointed. It ain't terrible but just feels like some RPG Rust clone. Just kinda lost its creative spirit and went in a very different direction from what it's past promised.
I'm confident that the root of the games problems are from the developers catering way too hard to large multi-player servers even though those make up a tiny percentage of the games player base.
Looks just like bart!
Pack it up boys. This one's just like bart.
How in the world did you get the game to run so well? Is there some setting I don't know about?
I finally remembered where i know your name from. Did you ever play Haven & Hearth by chance?
Uh oh, they've found me.
Damn 2023 was rough for bart
The adoring fan nice
RIP Bart😢
Wait a second, This is Simon not Bart. Since he's a big brain boy
28 days never sounds impressive until i remember how often i die in this game
ngl im a massive fan of the new system. tho im real curious to see if darkness falls can incorporate it
Just Like Bart
i play on xbox. i forget exaxtly what day im on but my first horde night was easy, i built a base is a prison i was lucky enough to find. before i outlined the entire walls with barbwire fences. and i was walking around outside taking out the zombies. im only 3 mins in tbh but i now will too try to get to 28 maybe more lol. i use random gen tho, have not found any traders and buildings are rare, towns very
pc is very different
Commenting for the algorithm
YES
10 years in alpha...
Developers don't want gamers to rush this way, then gamers rush another way.
Can't stop the rush!
Because they know they need to get ready for the 7th day
@@ExeErdna True. But even without, gamers will always optimize the fun out games anyway. It's just what we do. Gotta go fast! 😁
Yes!😊
I do enjoy me some 7 Days to Die content.
btw i saw you marked nodes of metal on the map. all the different Resources are the little different colored Dots on the Map (brownish red for Iron, black for coal etc.)
..so they patched out holding 'E' to pick up and move workbenches/entities?
You can pick up anything within your land claim block, which you can't place near a trader.
i dont remember this Simpson episode...
hubris, Men's biggest mistake
It hurts me to avoid the box of magazines in favour of some random shit. Shame.
is that really how a baton is used?
zip zap zoop.
Fine
Ah yes, the game that has an identity crisis every year a new trope comes along. I loved this game before Fun Pimps butchered its levelling, wellness and loot mechanics.
Nice bruder
Nice.
Bimgle
*tf2 intro theme*
Yeah y'know I considered making that joke and sort of regret not doing it.
For the algorithm
Of course you can't, you only have 7 days to die
This is the closest thing we have to 3D project zomboid and i dont like it sadly :(
o7
Hi. I have a rimworld challenge for you were the stats are opposite of the person like engineer or whatever it’s called is a brawler or something
:D
C:
You should've named him Bort instead of Bart
Game is shit but a cool video nonetheless
The game gets stale after awhile I got like 500 hours and spent the majority of those hours in one world. I am taking a break now due to me doing a mission and returning to my base collapsed.
Is this guy just the spiffing brit but he just wants to play the game ratger than exploit it
Honestly 7D2D seems like it could be really fun but it’s such an ugly game. I really wish I could enjoy it but the art style keeps me from doing that.
this makes this game sound boring
Ever thought of playing X4 foundations?
12:50 you are using factorio music? isn't that... illegal?
it's definitely not transformative use or anything, you're just using copyrighted music for no reason
10 years in alpha and still not optimized
17:00 Dawn Of The Dead used the verb "Exterminate" for the destruction of a zombie. The quote is from the opening minutes of the movie, spoken by one of the debaters in the television studio and goes something like "Any corpse that is not exterminated will get up and kill, anyone it kills will get up and kill!"
"There lies Bart, in the ruins of his hubris!" - Hazzor, 2023

happy to see 7dtd videos and would be great to see you do undead legacy for like 100 days
Yeah it woulf but only problem is that 1 day in game = 1 h
Do I have any interest in 7 Days to Die? No
Should I be working in silence instead of listening to another Hazzor video? Yes
Will I do what I should? No
Try out the Undead Legacy mod pack! Makes the game so much more content filled (if you got a space age computer)
This game is STILL in alpha?? It's been like 10 years
