Thank you! Every time I get a comment on an older video (more than a week old) I'm forced to watch the video again and see all the ways I could have made it better--or at least watchable. I'm glad you found it useful! Suntup collecting is costly but you will get more than you paid for them in joy that won't cause a hangover.
Just heard of Suntup today. Nice stuff bro. I used to have a bunch of Folio books as a younger feller and looking to get back into nice classics. I like your thought of experiencing the book in quality like this. I was thinking of buying a nice edition and a cheapie to actually read, but now I've decided to read the nice edition (unless I get a lettered....then I'll just skim a little). New subscriber here.
Well, thank you for subscribing. And yes, I think these books need to be read. So much tactile joy. I need to do a 2024 bookshelf tour to show the new additions. Those are my favorite videos to do because it's an excuse to handle the books all over again.
I’ve watched the whole video again! I’ve finally started my Suntup journey. Only artist editions so far, but over a month I’ve added about 6 to my collection. And have my eyes on many more! Such great releases, glad I’m finally in the know with them thanks to channels like yours!
I could look at those books all day! Wonderful collection. I have yet to add a Suntup to my collection but I plan to change that very soon. It’s awesome to see they’re all the same height. That’s a big worry with me purchasing special editions, I’m scared they won’t look uniform like I like!
Yes! If you're doing a set, then uniformity is key. Suntup does a great job of sticking to a size both in numbered and artist editions. It drives me crazy if they don't line up sweetly.
@@THEJEFFWORD Exactly! It’s also nice seeing them shelved like that too. I follow another Suntup fan, It’s Terrific, and he does book spine out. But seeing them with the slipcase spine out…I might like that slightly more!
@@jscottgp2011 I usually don't do slipcase side out if there's no title on the slipcase. But with the title, then I get total book protection by putting the book spine in.
@@THEJEFFWORD yeah it's the artist edition. This past week I bought A Scanner Darkly and love it! Was tempted to go for the numbered edition, but went with the cheaper one.
Great tour, Jeff! I was thinking about how many books I have in the house, and how disorganized they are. Maybe when we move I'll thin the herd and organize things. I happened to watch Harlan Ellison being interviewed by Tom Snyder on a UA-cam clip from 1998, and Harlan said he had more than 500,000 books in his house. One room alone had 40,000 books. Now that's a book tour I'd like to see :)
I had to divide this tour into two viewings. Great stuff. My wife thinks I’m a bit freakish because I often have to caress my Suntup’s, smell them and leaf through the pages every so often. I told her if I had to explain it, she wouldn’t understand. But, you do Jeff as do all Suntup’s customers as well.
Wow, Jeff, I forget how colorful and vivid some of those dust jackets are. Thanks very much for the extended tour. Amazing to think this publisher released their first title only three years ago.
It's insane to think that I have CD preorders for books I haven't gotten yet that are older than Suntup Editions. And now I have over three full shelves. It's been an amazing ride.
@@THEJEFFWORD Yeah, man. Just not interested. Might buy AE of Replay down the line though. I keep saying this, but the first Suntup quarter was completely insane. Probably the best from any small publisher ever.
"Everything went sideways" in your life, you said, since you took that pen. But I mean, if you could still get Suntups, it's my life that's sideways :D
Thoroughly Enjoyable Tour!
Thank you!
I have just started my Suntup journey and just love this video. Thank you so much for sharing your incredible books!

Right now is a fantastic time to get long out of print titles. If you're on the FB fans page there are sales all the time.
@@THEJEFFWORD I just joined about a week ago, I think I’ve already bought 6 off of people lol didn’t know you were an admin until today though!

I own Misery in Suntup Press and it is so incredible! I have become obsessed with Suntup and want more! Your collection is amazing!
Aw thank you! Do you have the Suntup artist edition of Misery? The numbered is the only one I’m missing and that is my holy grail.

@@WhytheBookWins with Suntup, any option is a good one. Congrats on the score.
Fantastic tour! I just got turned onto Suntup and my first one was Imajica Artist edition and it’s stunning…your collection is amazing!
Thank you! My collection has changed a lot since this video was posted. I'll probably update it in December of this year.
Great stuff sir!
Thank you, sir!

That would be an insane tour. I couldn’t imagine owning that many.

Man, haven't had any interest in Suntup since Blood Meridian. Kind of glad. Was killing my bank account.
Have you seen the latest release?
