@@WhytheBookWinsIf have to agree… especially if they happen to be signed. First editions can be rather delicate and finicky at times. Agree that it depends and my answer would vary.
Yea, I ordered the numbered edition of "The Stepford Wives" and I can't wait for it to come out at the end of the year. Jealous of your Misery copy. He did a great job with that one I love the blood spatter he put in the book to emphasize what had happened at that moment. Hope you enjoyed reading these editions. P.S. Fun fact: Metallica's "One" is based off "Johnny got His Gun".
Suntup is always so fantastic! And interesting! I started Johnny Got His Gun a few months back but realized I wasn't in the mood for that kind of book at the time. I will be picking it up some point in the future though!
@@WhytheBookWins oh for sure, first time I passed it I stopped across the street too scared to get closer but I didnt want to stop looking at it. so much detail to take in.
Did you know Laura The Outsiders was written by a sixteen year old girl? S.E. Hinton was a tomboy and got a lot of inspiration from her high school. In fact the publisher told Hinton to use her initials so male readers wouldn’t be put off that the author was a girl. S.E. stands for Susan Eloise. She said she even got letters from people who thought she was a guy. She’s also a huge horse lover.
I would love for you to do a series about a superb collection of books named the Everyman's Library. They make very nice books not glued and a lot of classics at decent prices! You will find the best Authors represented in that collection! Anyway just a suggestion , thank you and all the best to you! By the way great video today!
@@WhytheBookWins Yeah they offer a great value for the $$$ .. They are not Folio Society but for an ordinary working man like myself they are really nice!
If you see her looks interesting. Also I want to get Zombie and the Collector. Also not sure if you knew there was a tv series/sequel to the Outsiders. Show did not last long lasting 13 episodes or one season.
The only thing I don’t like is the dust jackets on AEs. I know I can remove them but I feel like the book is incomplete without them 😭 I wish they were naked books like Folio Society. Paul Suntup is a class act, really happy as a customer.
Out of my price range. I'll just have to stick with the library and thrift store. Johnny Got His Gun is incredibly depressing. Metallica did a song "One" the lyrics are based on Johnny Got His Gun
From what I’ve seen you talk about in the past, I don’t recommend Ania Ahlborn for you. I love horror and she is my favorite author in that genre. She writes books that are page turners but they are very intense and brutal. If you think SOTL would be too much for you, Ahlborn’s stories are definitely not going to be up your alley. Danger: Turn back!😱😱😱
What does SOTL stand for? Thank you though! I won't be reading that one haha. That's cool she's your favorite! None of her books would be for me though it sounds like? (Just realized it must stand for silence of the lambs! Which yeah, I'm worried that one would be too disturbing for me 🙈)
@@WhytheBookWins No, I don't think any of hers would be for those sensitive to terror, however all of her Suntup editions are so visually appealing. Yep, Silence of the Lambs is what I was saying
I love how perfectly your shirt matches the colors in the wallpaper!! Beautiful covers on all of these book!
Thank you so much!
These are gorgeous! So, would you rather have one of these stunning books, or a bland looking first edition or autographed book?
It depends on the book and the author! But generally speaking, I might prefer these editions (as well as Easton Press Deluxe) over a first edition.

Love Suntup books ! Got a few artist editions, Animal farm, Edgar Poe, ... I tend to prefer them to Folio Society lately.
Yes! They are amazing 😀

I often drive past an abandond house that looks similar to that one on the last books cover
Spooky! Haha, old buildings can also be so beautiful though

I didn't know she was so young! But yeah I knew she was a female.
@@WhytheBookWins she actually started writing it when she was 15. One her friends got jumped by socs and that’s how it started out the story.

Yeah The Collector has some great illustrations as well! And I hadn't known about the tv show

Yeah they are pricey.
Oh I didn't know that. Not much of a Metallica person but after I read the book I'll check out their song.
