Thanks for watching!! x my book on feeding ferrets can be found here: pazuandfriends.creator-spring.com/listing/get-feeding-ferrets-naturally?product=1227
My ferrets are on a very different diet but ive definitely learned a lot from watching you over the years! I love seeing people putting so much love into their babies
"Bone broth is worth the hype for both humans and people" cause we all know "people" means a bunch of ferrets on top of each other covered in a trench coat ahah love the video, thank you so much for all the info!
Would love to see an updated “what I feed my pets in a day” (including iroh too and their snacks as well) Question… when majoring in animal science and nutrition did you always knew you wanted to educate more on online and on ferrets and make a book? Or did you think you wanted to work in an animal clinic or with a private practice?
Sure!! & It was because of my adoration of all things ferret that I became a certified pet nutritionist. I don't particularly want to work at a clinic (they usually only hire vets/vet tech/reception anyway) because it's such a stressful environment. I would however love to open up my own natural pet food/health store :) One can dream, lol.
Happy New Year! Thanks for doing an updated video, I’m going to look into everything you listed in this video for my loves. I’m particularly intrigued by the Bragg’s - I drink/cook with their apple cider vinegar myself, and had no idea they were able to process it in their bellies! Thanks for your help with my lengthy emails, sending love from our home to yours 💖
I have a question ❓ I have dig boxes filled with organic coconut fiber soil for my fancy rats. Would this be safe for my ferrets. Thay love to dig. I was hopping for a new form of inritchment as we're snowed in.
I have used something similar for my ferrets! I have used the coco fiber substrate that's safe for reptiles, since reptiles can be extremely sensitive, have owned them as well, my ferrets loved to dig around in the dirt and use the bathroom in it too lol
Can you recommend a backup company for quality grinds? I am a new ferret owner (ferret Bueller and peanut) and have watched all of your videos and want to switch but my pet carnivore is out of stock 😢
Do you think you could do a in depth amount/ prepping of how you space this all out through the week or two weeks ? I am very interested in following along and feeding these products to my farret !
I plan on feeding Frankenprey because it seems most cost affective could I feed grind once or twice a week in place of a raw meaty bone meal to provide more variety
I feed fdr and raw mix..mine love beef liver chicken livers..eggs are amazing and all of my noodles love them..I also use salmon oil which they also love..my biggest concern is hearts..mine will not eat hearts...is there a supplement that would help them with the nutrients that hearts give?
We mainly feed hearts for taurine, you can supplement with powdered taurine, though hearts are still a great source of nutrition for ferrets. Have you tried freeze dried hearts? Or chopping them up really small and mixing into the food? They don't need a whole ton of it to meet requirements.
Taurine is in hard working muscle meats like shoulder, thighs, anything that is constantly moving or working. Chicken thighs have a higher taurine level than chicken hearts.
@@davidstillings5516 Beef tongue and salmon (I believe it’s salmon I can’t remember) have high amounts of taurine as well. You’re probably supplying enough as is but you can try FDR hearts! I see them in the pet store usually
Scratch my last question about what my wife and I should feed our sweet "Buddy" in one of your other videos (15 things on what not to Feed your Ferret) 🤦🏼 I didn't see this video til now. We're new to your channel so it's gonna take a while to learn where to go to get some of our questions answered lol. Thanks for making this! We Homeschool all our kids so this is actually a great Educational video for them 🤔🙂 Our oldest Daughter Breanna is graduating this year! ❤️
Okay, so I see there is a book link provided. My ferret has been living on Intune ferret kibble and duk soup for some years now. He has cancer growing on his gums and has mass cell tumors on his neck, was licking up his pee, I assumed he was deficient in something when I saw him continuously doing that. He’s an older ferret, I love him very much. He’s my survivor. I left a few comments now, just looking for answers, and fast. I also live in New York.
how often do you use the supplements? Is it a daily thing you do or every other day for break between supplements? That's the one thing I struggle with to add in for my animals.
It depends on what it is. Like they only need the vitamin e oil every couple days, whereas the mushrooms can be given daily. I watch their poops though since they don't need a ton of fiber. I'm pretty lax with them all unless they get sick and need them consistently :)
Hi! Would you share the amounts and how often you feed the pet carnivore food and the mushroom powder? I just ordered both and am afraid to over feed with them 😊
This is such a helpful video! I love your videos! Are you planning on doing another reacting to my subs ferret cages? I would love to submit my little girlies cage!
Thank you! Probably no more user submission videos for now - people can get upset by my ratings and flag the video. Not worth the risk of losing the channel.
@@Pazuandfriends Aww, darn it! But i understand. You do think female ferrets are more playful to eachother then males are? I have been looking for a friend for my female ferret, but the male i use to have did not really play with, even though she wanted to.

My ferrets been shedding early this year do you have any tips on brushes or anything to help remove the hair? I feed him egg 1 a week when he’s not shedding with salmon oil but during shedding season I feed him 2 eggs a week. hairballs absolutely scare me the first time he shed I almost had an emergency but he pooped it out 💪 I do brush him 2-4 times a day with like a cat metal brush but not sure if there’s any you recommend?
I’ve tried feeding raw and sadly my ferret didn’t take well to it and she developed ulcers over time:(( do you have any tips on how maybe how I could go about finding a way to feed fat or should I switch to freeze dried? Right now I have her on (sadly) the old marshals food and freeze dried mixed in.
I’ve never heard of a ferret developing ulcers on raw food. What were you feeding her? And why do you want to feed fat? Sorry just confused. I recommend checking out my book it should help you!
@@Pazuandfriends I’m sorry I meant raw not fat!! I type to fast. I had taken her to the vet and she told me to hold off on feeding raw because she figured it’s what caused the ulcers. I had slowly introduced raw chicken so that’s all I had fed that was raw, I gave her rmb, liver, breast, heart, the normal stuff.
@@angry_axolotl1861 Unless maybe she was very stressed while you tried to feed her, I doubt the chicken caused it! Or she has a chicken allergy which isn’t super common. Best of luck!

what are the portions of everything for just one ferret?
How much/how often do you give mushrooms?
So you freeze some of the meat?
Hey how about kefir made with goats milk ?😃
I think kefir would be much too strong for ferrets, I don't think they'd like the sour taste of it!
