That being said I've known from when I first started following your channel you weren't in it for the money, it was the adventures. Deposit a gold item into an impossible place ensuring it can never be removed without costing more than its value. Then digitizer it as a collectable nft that will equal the value of gold possibly more at it will be free from this worlds laws and jurisdiction being able to trade freely in the metaverse of games where your treasure can also now be placed. I'm so glad I looked through your past videos and found this one because I was asking myself those very same questions about you. I'm very sorry to hear about your family loss, it's a terrible thing to lose someone that way. Your videos are an inspiration for what one person can experience in the great outdoors . On a side note about what to do with your gold, why not melt it down into keepsakes for your family members. I'm sure they would all love them, whatever they may be.,Trinkets or jewelry ...

Being in nature is helps my mind the most also. Especially rockhounded in the creek with the sound of the water. I lost my younger brother in 2010, and it took a while for me to even accept it. I felt like I shouldn't have even wanted to accept it for a while. Now I can think about him and be happy at the same time. I'm glad that you keep your family in your mind and heart while you are out searching. I will pray for your family and your safety. I wish you well, take care.

Yes he keeps it in his possession as he and the gold are technically one. Its up to him to offer the gold and claim compensation for fiding it from teh gov.
Gold comes from teh land and man is of the land. Its only when he engages in commerce that it becomes an issue.
Imagine not only being required to pay for a license to collect gold but not even technically owning said gold afterwards.
I don’t understand why people continue to accept such blatant tyranny.

As for the gold, I think the idea of putting it back into nature is wonderfull. So people, just like you can find it and gain the joy and excitement you once had when you found it.

You had mentioned that you had lost your brother suddenly. I left a comment that I really appreciate your effort with all the turmoil in your life and TBP was a welcome distraction from issues of my own as my brother had just passed away suddenly at just 48.
You responded to my comment with kind, helpful words that rang genuine & sincere. They were just what I needed to hear right then.

He hides his gold around Scotland and leave clues to where he has hidden them! This is to encourage more people to just get out in nature and create great experiences whether it’s by themselves or with friends. Your treasure map idea is great! Although maybe a map would be to obvious and just leave clues! If you were to follow through with that idea announce it as a way to encourage people to get outdoors and gain new experiences in the support to good mental health. Much love

PMAT was formed above a pub in Campbell Town 6 or 7 years ago, there were less than a dozen of us. A lot bigger now with field trips to fossick for all kinds of Tassie treasure.
Miguel the guy who inspired the creation of PMAT is a top bloke who's motivation was to fix the problems you mentioned.I was watching his fossicking adventures on UA-cam, back when you and your brother were doing adventures diving for crays and grabbing Monsters by hand.

Yeah, Tassie does have strange mining rules. That applied Australia-wide. The crown owns the gold on crown land and you bought a license to mine it. You could retain the gold for three months then you had to sell it. You got your 4 pounds an ounce which was the going rate for the pure gold. (once it was refined) This is why none of the record-breaking nuggets and specimens survive today. You could get the gold converted into sovereigns also by the way.
Crown land is only the island of Victoria, the queen has fraudulently taken over your sovereignty...
i highly doubt an ounce of pure gold is worth only 4 pounds, since 1 ounce of gold is worth 1500 USD

Your videos have got me through alot this year. After having a major 10hr surgery to remove cancer and a 2 week stay at the RHH I am still recovering now in August. My mental health was already bad prior to cancer diagnosis and has become really bad over this year, being stuck at home with limited mobility while I recover. I've rewatched all your videos and await eagerly on your new ones. Watching what you do has given me a drive to do the same thing when fully recovered. Also watching your videos in particular in the bush south of savage river brings back memories of being a kid in the late 80s going into the same bush to explore and have fun. So thankyou Levi and I hope I bump into you in the bush one day when I'm fully recovered and fit again
