I’m loving these “pre show” moments because it feels like the conversations you had right before school started in the morning.
It reminded me of eavesdropping on those conversations. Always hoping I would be part of one some day.
In hindsight, me giggling in the stall may have contributed to my overall exclusion from youthful banter.
“Like most Philadelphians I keep a framed picture of my uncle and my father” that’s HILARIOUS that needs to be in the show that’s just a good line
Idk who that kid is but he's extremely funny ! He seems like hes got jokesss.
You know its gonna be a good episode when it starts with Charlie playing the piano
the whooe thng was amansaing .... im smashed hard toi spell. you can undersatnd right
@Nick “It’s probably gonna be a good episode if it starts with Charlie playing the piano.”
Darius sounded almost chocked up when you offered him a spot, you can tell he appreciated that, nice to see.
Yeah, if that were me I'd be freaking out hoping for an opportunity like that.
Charlie opening it up with "Clair de Lune" is making me feel a certain way. Beautiful piece. God I love this podcast. I love this gang.
Man I was wracking my brain during the whole thing trying to remember what song that was; Moonlight Sonata popped into my head but knew it wasn't that...needed to follow the moon track further. Thank you!
Charlie also plays a little excerpt of Rachmaninoff's Rhapsody on a theme of Paganini before clair de lune :)
@@radiohead322 yessssir! I recognized it right away. My dad was a classical pianist for 40 years. He played that one all the time.
“My husband Humphrey went to school with Prince William” of course he did
"Humphrey" isn't a traditionally sexy name. I bet humorous women enjoy funny names like "Humphrey" because it makes them laugh
Oh I thought you were being skeptical for a second. I was like... Dude someone in small town had a father that went to college with BB Nettanyahoo(sp?) so, people go to school with famous people at some point.
Love the one with Darius. Very wholesome. You can tell he was very emotional but was holding back this conversation. His voice cracked when he replied to the offer. What a amazing gesture by Glen. Very cool to see how they treated a fellow up and coming actor, and how they appreciated his work on the bit. Respect
Between Charlie's piano and Glenn's gesture, this was a really wholesome pod
I'm English, so I'm not entirely sure what defines someone as being "Philly", but I can say with confidence that that last guy is the most Philly person I have ever seen.
Wouldn't the most Philly thing to you be someone declaring their independence from you?
Your philly instincts are spot on, philly native here 😂 that guy wins
Glenn is looking better than ever. The gray suits him. He should not eradicate those.
I mean. . .he's an actor in more than one show. It's probably going to get "eradicated."
Well yeah, I'm talking about the gray hair. But I'm also talking about the makeup, the tape behind the jaw and eyes, the hair paint, I'm talking about ALL of it.
I mean … if he did he’d look like super man and I mean… he was the original right?
I was selected to go on the podcast, but sadly they didn't have enough time for everyone and I was one of the people that didn't make the cut. But they gave us tickets to the live show and they said a quick hi to us at the end! They were so amazing
That was surprisingly wholesome. I hope they’re able to find a role for Darius next season. Would be great to see him pop up in the show even if it’s a just a small part like being one of a whole series of guys shown that Dee banged in a short space of time.
So awesome for the gang to suggest it. I hope to see him on the next season
even if it doesnt work out, its a great gesture to try help him along... there are a lot of people in the entertainment industry with "fuck you I got mine" attitudes, only acting nice for cameras. but the sunny people seem like genuinely chill and helpful people not puting on an act.
He didn't show much excitement, but is obviously a huge sunny fan and surely was through the roof with glee when they said that to him. Good luck Darius!
@@williamclark6233 Being an actor already, he was probably thinking "fucking hollywood jabronies always say that". But I'm sure the guys actually mean it and he'll get a call for an audition.
So incredibly kind for Glenn with the audition opportunity. Love these guys.
More Charlie on the piano please! Can you leave snacks and things he likes over there so he gets lured to the piano from time to time and can play without asking him to? Love the leisurely playing, don't want to see him feel like it's forced
Watching Charlie play the piano is awesome. I am awed by the immense amount of talent this man possesses. It seems like every few episodes we learn another thing he does well
Classic "Sunny" scene intro. Charlie indulging his creativity, then Glenn (Dennis) interrupts with his feelings/opinions.
That was a beautiful, unexpected, artist opening to a pod maybe I've ever seen!
Yeah there was nothing about spiders or rape or anything great job Charlie
This podcast has statistically raised people’s excitement for Mondays
Billy’s portion at the end with the gang was awesome! There couldn’t have been a better ending to this episode. AND you put his link in the description - great job Meg and crew.
I feel like they need to get him on the show even though he's not an actor. He seems like he'd make a perfect sunny character.
Oh shit they actually did, that's fucking awesome. What a great fun guy he was.
If they do an Eagles tryout episode sequel, he should definitely be in it lmao
Charlie, Rob, Glenn and Megan have literally figured out the cure for Monday morning depression with this podcast! I actually can’t wait for Monday’s to come around so I can laugh for 45-60 mins. Puts me in a good mood for the rest of the day!
So true. I was just telling my wife my Mondays are bearable now thanks to the podcast.
Wait until you see Rob have a colonoscopy and the first thing he asks is ‘how is my hair?’
@@elizarock655 I did see that! He was still so doped up he couldn’t say “I’m not that vain.”
I'm English and I cannot got enough of when the guys do an English accent, proper Mary Poppins vibes
Specific accents are hard to do. Generic American accents are easy for Brits to to but when they try a specific American accent it usually goes horribly wrong.
I'm English too and I thought their southern English accents were brilliant :D
I LOVED this episode but please don't let Rob forget to tell his France story next week.
Knowing how this show operates, this was likely filmed a little while ago, so its genuinely weird that they happened to speak about the Queen in this episode 😅
Based on the Wrexham comments it was probably filmed one or 2 weeks ago
@@RedWinterHero yeah, I really need to wait an extra 5 seconds before I comment in the future cos it literally was spoken about 5 seconds later 😂
This was by far the best intro to date. What a roller coaster of emotion between melancholy piano to "I'mma jus use me ''ands for my porridggge!"

@@kahnatohru1906I'm assuming you're kidding but in case someone else reads this and wasn't paying attention he was 21 when the kid was born lol. He said he was 35 now with a 14 yo.
I want to see Darrius in an episode next season so bad, I really hope that works out. It's awesome that you guys offered that up and are looking out.
The intro was so beautiful, Charlie you really gave me happy tears. You made me feel like a little girl again, I would listen to piano while I played in my childhood playroom.
"That's a barrier between most things in life, let's just give the kid a ticket."
Charlie Day 2024?
That was dope as hell of Glenn on the Darius part. Hope to see him in season 16.
I think the reason I like it so much when the pod opens like this is because it reminds me of the show, like we’re dropping in on them just shooting the shit!
Only after the podcast had finished did I realise I'd been smiling for the entire show.
This episode was fantastic. So well planned that it seemed easy - but you can tell there was a HEAP of hard work that went into the planning (Megan, not the gang). Well done everybody!
I listen to several podcasts with shoddy production. Megan has 10 jobs, and then masterfully became a god tier podcast producer on the fly. Her talent and ability seems to be the glue keeping the Gang together after so many years
That Rob kid reminds me of a young Bill Ponderosa. Ha! Pondy’s the coolest!
Hilarious that almost every episode starts with a conversation about arrival and start times. So great
Wow I'm not even 5 minutes into this episode and I am just absolutely in love with this opening, The editing and overall quality of this just gets better every week.
It’s because it was just them acting naturally, not the overly structured fakeness that followed.
@@gengarth5470 lol no. did my criticism of the podcast bother you to the point you felt you had to make a sniping comment at me?
@@alexjones7043 na just wondering if having the same name as a notorious conman was annoying
@@gengarth5470 no you said he “ruined my name”. Lol. Pretty dramatic.
It’s alright mate, i teased your favourite podcast. It’s going to be okay.
Love what Glenn said at the beginning: I've been binging (and re-binging) some of the older podcast episodes and it was genuinely lovely for this one to open up with Charlie playing the piano. Very soothing
Clair de lune 🥰 Charlie on the piano could be the entire episode
@@jonbaxter2254 It was a pretty bad rendition. No breathing space, super rushed, weird notes added. Nah
I love this show. I feels wrong call it a podcast. They are such a power house group. They get better and better. The first 5 mins is just a rollercoaster of emotions and I love it.
Jfc Just stop, please. If you want them to get better, give some constructive feedback. Stop riding these guys’ crotches.
I can't quite explain it but there was something magical about that opening, just good vibes and the comfort with each other and humor whole damn thing just puts such a smile on my face.
@@Happyburn “I can’t quite explain it” and you proceed to fully explain it. Great.
Yeah, this isn't some side-project podcast, it's, like, another show that these three guys who are good at making shows make!
My favorite song has always been Clair de Lune. My wife walked down the aisle to it when we got married and now I cry every time I hear it. I was not prepared for Charlie to play it first thing this morning!! My favorite show, my favorite song, my favorite memory. Definitely made my Monday easier to handle.
Those “British” characters they were portraying……….I need so much, infinitely more.
Im 2 min in and I can tell they just reached another level on this episode. Megan et al are really really establishing a great production.
This was incredible. This show, not unlike Sunny, never fails to help put a smile on my face. This was really sweet of yall to do. I used to dress up as green man and dance at parties without anyone there knowing who was beneath the greenman suit. Not quite philly but i am from Jersey so not far either. Have loved the show since it first aired. Appreciate you all, thank you!
Get Darius a role on Always Sunny!! He's got the humor and is already in LA! Would love to see that come to fruition
I’m English and I am SCREAMING at their impressions of Williams school chums
@Surfer I think porridge is just a very English word to them since Americans call it oatmeal
Charlie playing piano in the beginning was actually so nice as a listener I had a feeling it was him playing and I totally get that feeling Glenn is talking about.
Looking at the intro, I can only think: You, Charlie Day, not only are a comedic genius, but a wonderful musician!
Please, give us more of those piano moments!
Honestly, if the whole episode was just Charlie free-styling on the piano, I wouldn’t be mad. The whole beginning of this episode was so chill and oddly relaxing 😌🤌 the always Sunny podcast caters to all types of vibes.
U kno its gonna be a podcast when a few dudes talk about stuff
You know it's gonna be a podcast when the podcast channel posts a video titled podcast
Props to the audio engineer, sound mixer, and editor for that piano in the intro; sounds incredible for a show that doesn’t typically have a musical focus, and was a pleasantly surprising/offbeat way to start this episode. Last but not least, thank you Mr. Day for such simple yet beautiful playing.
I have a question that has been plaguing me for a while. Several years back there was an Omaze Charity event where one lucky person would win a trip to the set of IASIP, meet the cast, and get a walk on part. I’ve always been curious as to who won, which episode do we see them in, and what was the experience like?
I could have an endless video of Charlie playing piano like that on my second monitor. So relaxing, and for some reason gave me Christmas vibes
Most profound opening to a podcast I’ve ever seen.. very beautiful Charlie
@@MrNinjaone1 Absolutely. Really looking forward to that one in particular.
Charlie playing Clair De Lune was something I never knew I needed in my life. Thank you for that, 'twas beautiful.
I'm really hoping to see Darius on a future season of Sunny. Also I'm calling it now, he's doing a reboot of Ah Real Monsters
I think my first thought was Hey Arnold! Just looked it up and Wikipedia said a reboot was possible if Rugrats happened... which is another possibility for what he worked on.
@@craigrussell3062 Ohh that's another good one, although they did it before and it wasn't that great
@@luna-p The original creator won't be involved in this one, which is kind of a good and a bad thing. His obsession with animation is what gave the show such a distinctive style, but he has an edge of anger and cruelty that started to outweigh the funny over time, and his later R&S got gross. Plus he got #metooed. I have no reason to think the reboot by someone else will be anything worth watching, but it might be what this dude worked on.
I normally don't like audience interaction type shows as I just want to hear the guys and Megan but this was top tier, absolute quality stuff, I was laughing throughout
I've been enjoying the Wrexham documentary because I'm able to share the joy Rob with my wife, hopefully I can get her to watch Sunny one day
The work that goes into this podcast is incredible. You guys are such amazing creators of content, Meg is my hero!
That last dudes song was pretty good, and he seems down to earth and fun. Good shit boys.
I started my morning drinking my coffee and listening to Charlie play Clair De Lune . Really great way to start the day.
the irony of selling athletic greens. with adaptogens. Sounds like abani berries which are chock full of antioxidants. Keeps my stress units down.
The shirt fits him perfectly. Does Glenn expect a muscular man to wear BAGS on his body?
I fucking love when they roast the shows or whatever they're doing IRL. When they roasted Charlie's last movie and now the football I cry laughing
I'll probably never watch it, but I jutht like hearing them thay Mythic Quetht.
Charlie is so gifted. He is such a joy of a human. And that's a dope Anticon shirt Glenn
Robert was hilarious I can’t believe he’s only 17. It’s so nice that you guys were giving away free tickets. I’m from NJ but I’ll be at the live show on Sunday. Can’t wait!
whoever edited the beginning of the pod that way, thank you so much it was pure bliss
I wish Katie in philly had said “no, just some hand stuff” when they said not to bang in the audience
I love Glenn. More and more and more and more. He seems like such a genuine no nonsense kinda guy❤
I could watch an entire podcast of the antics before the podcast even starts--especially with Charlie's musical stylings
Me too. I wouldn't mind a guy who could play music, even if he's practicing. It's just nice to have it in the background while you work.
Then again, I have music right here! Who needs a fella? 😏🎧🎶🎶
Everyone's accent is funny to someone else, but I imagine the Philly accent is hilarious even to the people afflicted by it.
ok just to state first im very high atm, but i realized another reason I love this podcast so much. Obviously love hearing the guys and Megan is such a great addition to the team, awesome hearing/seeing another one of the incredible minds behind the show. The other reason the podcast is so great is its shot so well, like fuck I think it might be one of the best looking podcasts out there. Fuck the lighting is so nice, the cuts, the cameras, the video and audio quality, the comedy everyone brings, the set is so fucking nice and I need to mention again the fucking lighting. It really shows this team knows what theyre doing and have a passion for it. Looks incredible
"Leftover milk from son's cereal bowl" is generally my daily breakfast. Glad to hear I'm not alone.
Best thing. Thanks for allowing to me to be on the podcast and for the tickets. Can’t wait to see you guys soon on Sunday!
You are coming up as I read this!
Glad your submission made it in finally!
@@RealBradMiller hahah yea man thanks. It was crazy to get to talk to them!
3:23 I absolutely LOVE seeing Charlie and Glenn improv. You see these moments of their true deep bond as brothers when in the show we are so used to seeing Charlie and Dennis as the most dissonant, adversarial, and dissimilar characters.
That was amazing and i could watch charlie play the piano all day
Holy crap. Charlie is great at the piano. I love this when it pops up online online online
These really help me get through mondays. Appreciate you guys more then you know.
I'm so glad I stumbled on this pod cast. Charlie Day is beyond talented. these make my day !
The Royal Family's real surname is Saxe-Coburg-Gotha but they changed it to Windsor in 1917 so they didn't sound quite so German!
Was playing my guitar unplugged when I clicked this video, and the music was so nice that I started playing along instantly. Was pleasant to see Charlie was playing, felt like we were jamming :)
Glenn's hair looks so much better grey/natural.
When you guys finish all episodes, I still want you all to keep going with the podcast. I can see why you guys have been able to remain friends and create one of the most iconic comedies in TV history.
All three of you seem like great dads too, from how you talk about your families.
I love the Philly guy drinking and playing his music!!!! He was the most Philly
I could listen to Charlie play the piano like that all day. I want a full hour of Charlie just noodling around on the piano. It's truly beautiful.
Ayo anticon shirt? Glenn been killing it in the shirt game lately
"What is it, Towel?"
Good lord that made me bust a gut. What a quick wit!
This opening was so emotional. Beautiful
Robert made me genuinely laugh with his video. I was in a shitty mood too, thinking my day was fucked already. Thanks for the cool segment y'all.
loved the edit idk if that’s right but the choppy minute by minute sequence of candid moments between meg glenn & charlie
These guys are sooo generous to put a hand out to Darius!! I’m excited to hopefully see Darius now. He’ll be one of those ‘if you know you know’ moment when the new season drops. Anybody in their position could be so jaded about other aspiring artist in the industry. And I’m glad they didn’t show a hint of cynicism! I love these guys man! Good luck to you Darius!
last guy has to have an appearance on the next season, great episode guys.
Now that guy is the most "Philly" lol 😂 exactly how I picture a eagles fan to be
That last guy was amazing, you could tell how excited he was and just loving every second 😁
My Monday mornings got better immediately once this podcast was created. I literally look forward to it.
You don’t look forward to it. You LITERALLY look forward to it as if there’s a difference.

I wasn’t expecting the podcast to open with Charlie on the piano but I love it I mean the man’s talented
i love these fan interactions so heartwarming
Charlie lookin like a prison inmate playing the piano for the warden and his wife
Of course Rob knows the Queens last name, he owns a soccer team, that’s the first question they ask you when you apply for team ownership. It’s only a matter of time before he starts putting baked beans on his toast.
