The idea i like for mini dispenser is for it to be substantially worse than the regular one but you get to place two of them.

I posted this on another video but I'll post it here anyways:
+: Costs 33% less metal to deploy (77 vs 100).
+: x2.5 faster build speed.
+: Restores health and metal 25% faster than a Level 1 Dispenser (12.5 vs 10HPS. Also generates metal every 3.75 seconds.)
+: 35% longer range than a regular Dispenser.
+: Half the size of a regular Dispenser, though this effect requires an updated model to apply.
i: Unusual effect: Team-Colored Neon Lights.
i: Starts at only 50 health when first deployed and builds health up to 100 over the course of the build animation.
-: Has 33% less health than a Level 1 Dispenser (100 vs 150).
-: No metal dropped when destroyed (still drops ammo, however).
-: Cannot be upgraded.
-: Provides metal and ammunition at only 50% standard rate, generating only 10% reserve ammo per second and 20 metal over a 3.75 second delay (worth 5.33 metal per second). It still carries the same amount of metal, however.
-: The Mini-Dispenser's smaller size does not propel the Engineer as high when he stands on it.
-: No random critical hits.

Imagine if you could clip it onto a player and they could carry it around for portable healing, but you could only build one. Would be good for tanks on the front lines who need health if it's too risky to run back for a Dispenser.

though i think it could be used in a playstyle similar to the mini sentry (in offense)
you can place it closer to the frontlines thanks to its smaller hitbox (you could even hide it behind the high ground itself depending on the map)
and where at lacks in durability it makes up with how quick you can replace it

but it is strange that it builds slightly faster instead of the 150% unboosted faster build speed of the mini sentry
so i did some math and if it did get a 150% unboosted build speed (without wrench boost) then it only would take 12.6 seconds (sentry to mini is 10.5 to 4.2)

Actually it was, but valve sadly left this as a scrapped idea, ALSO there was supposed to be a new pda for the construction of the mini dispenser

Pretty sure this would be more useful than a regular dispencer considering that you don't need to fill your ammo reserves to 100% all the time.
