I took a whiskey tumbler, filled it half way with ice, plus 6oz water, added my 1Tbl AVC, squeezed in some fresh lemon juice and dropped the lemon half into the glass as a garnish. It was delicious ! I felt like I was having a cocktail. I now bring a small thermos of this "Secret Elixir" with me to parties just in case there are only high carb munchies options besides my Keto contribution. Yes, I have been using ACV (the unfiltered type, with the 'mother' in it, the original enzymes) for seven months now, after watching dr. Alan Mandell's videos (motivationaldoc). Following his tips, I use 1 tablespoon of ACV in a glass of lukewarm water every morning on an empty stomach, mixed with the juice of half a lemon, some raw honey, a tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil, and a little bit of several powdered spices (Ceylon cinnamon, nutmeg, cayenne pepper, ginger, turmeric, and black pepper). I use it mainly to reduce the risk of getting diabetes, eat much less sugary foods now and have lost a few pounds already. 🙂
I learned this for years ago. I do drink ACV everyday esp when fasting. I drink it probably more than I should 😂 It has helped me when I have cravings. I buy Bragg’s because it taste better. Though I think I might try making my own one day.

Great video Kait. I used acv at the start of my health journey. As you said I took it before meals my digestion was terrible before it, acv worked really well. I now add it to make meat and bone broths
I drink only sparkling water with ACV and electrolyte drops. I've changed my diet to mostly carnivore and have made other changes to my lifestyle to promote my health. I can't say that ACV has produced all of my results, but it sure has helped. My preferred beverage is more satisfying than plain water, but also provides other things my body needs to function properly. An occasional cup of coffee or tea are all that I add to my beverage menu. I can't be certain, but I believe ACV helps to reduce your appetite and is extremely helpful during an extended fast. I wouldn't be without it!
I have been watching all your videos. I am 7 days in on a 18/6 fasting with a high fat low carb diet and I feel great. My goal is to lower my blood sugars to get off of Metformin . I am 69 years old and I do not want to be on medication. I have been taking it for several years an have had side affects mainly my hair has gotten so thin and I feel so tried all the time. My blood level run about 6.5/ so I am hoping this does not take more than 6 months to get them back to normal.
Just caught up with this video. Yes I do usually in the morning 2 cups of warm water +1 TB of CV + juice of 1 lemon. I am not doing it to lose weight but to help with digestion and to have more acid in my gut. But yes I have lost 33 lbs since starting this routine six months ago. I do OMAD and make sure to have a weaker solution just before my meal. Today I broke my 48 hour fast; I do this once a month and went without the cider, because in theory I should have enough after a prolonged fast, but no. I recommend you to be very careful, I was using Apple Cider Vinegar last month for like 1 month, I would take 1 or 2 tbsp mixed with 4oz to 6oz of water once every day. Then, suddenly, my body started to hurt all over including my head and my bones too. I felt really down and I couldn't even carry my 3 month old because he felt super heavy to mean! The last time I drank it, I felt so bad from my stomach! That's when I noticed it wasn't really helping me,, Just make sure you can take it,. I feel great now since I haven't been taking it anymore.
I tried to use liquid ACV, but even diluting a single tablespoon in 16oz of water apparently wasn't enough to keep it from burning my throat. I developed a small abscess that took a few days to heal. So now I don't know what to do other than try and dilute even more...but who wants to drink that much water before a meal?! Lol, I guess I'd eat less with all that water.
I think I’m going to start drinking some ACV before meals. I’m also wondering if it would help my mom. She’s type 2 diabetic and currently working with her doctor to find a medication that will help her manage it. He also will add some acv to a water bottle for when he is working. He had anaphylaxis to heart cath contrast and was on total life support. His entire bowel and colon became eschemic. He had his ascending and a section of his transverse removed. Illeostomy was reversed at 11 months. One month later gall stone blocking a duct and had another surgery. Had more issues with parts of colon still showing eschemia. Went low carb and he added in the acv as well as consuming blueberries every day and switching to goat milk and goat yogurt. Also takes a powerful, refrigerated probiotic. 6 months ago they thought he had ulcerative colitis and said they would take biopsies at the repeat. Just had the repeat colonoscopy and NO ULCERS OR CONCERNS! Nothing to biopsy. Praise God! 🙌 I am not saying the acv healed him, but I do think it helped.

I started taking organic acv with the 'mother' for gestational diabetes control but only took it for a few weeks before reading up that 'mother' acv could be bad when pregnant and stopped using it. But I keep craving it because I felt so great after drinking acv water, it helped with my soda cravings as well since my acv was lemon and ginger flavored as well. Anyway, I was wondering if you agree, that organic 'mother' acv is not safe when pregnant? I can't recall anything other than that the 'mother' part about it wouldn't be considered safe necessarily when taken while preggo. I only have about three weeks left until due date so I can manage without acv but it made me feel great and I think I'll go back to it as soon as baby is born lol.
I am not entirely sure - likely not a big enough dose and/or added sugar. I have seen multiple people experiment with them using a CGM and they don't do anything.

I get acid reflux and drink lemon juice in water, as much lemon as I can tolerate. Dr Eric Berg advised that acid reflux happens because your stomach doesn't have enough acid in it to digest, especially loads of carbs. I haven't tried av yet for that but I should imagine it would be fine. Just my 2cents 😊

@@elena2125 Yes, the lemon juice really works for me. I've woken up during the night with reflux so I get up and drink lemon juice in water. Works every time. Nope, I don't put anything else but water and lemon juice. Depending on how bad the reflux is I put more or less juice...but you'd need to be able to drink it so do it to your taste. I'd get reflux every night when eating bad (chocolate, biscuits, Donuts etc) so I'd either have lemon before bed or wake up and get some. A very few times I've had to do both before and during bedtime because what I ate was just so bad and so much. I restarted low carb on Sunday and so far no need for lemon juice - except on my salad 😊.
@@elena2125 it sure does! Too much sugar means your stomach is too alkaline and that's why you can get reflux. It's why replacing the acid (lemon juice) helps.

I can't recall anything other than that the 'mother' part about it wouldn't be considered safe necessarily when taken while preggo.
I only have about three weeks left until due date so I can manage without acv but it made me feel great and I think I'll go back to it as soon as baby is born lol.
I'm gonna give ACV a try. But god I wish I could just eat cheeseburgers.
Nothing wrong with cheese burgers just skip the bun and make a burger bowl instead 🙂
I drink it, occasionally. Not enough to notice any difference. Plus, I've always heard to drink before going to bed.
Before bed can help with morning blood sugar 🙂

Why is the pill form not as effective? I saw some that include the mother.
I am not entirely sure - likely not a big enough dose and/or added sugar. I have seen multiple people experiment with them using a CGM and they don't do anything.
I finished 2 bottles of ACV...but still my bulky stomach still there..so I stop it.

Can you drink cider vinegar when you have acid reflux?
I get acid reflux and drink lemon juice in water, as much lemon as I can tolerate. Dr Eric Berg advised that acid reflux happens because your stomach doesn't have enough acid in it to digest, especially loads of carbs. I haven't tried av yet for that but I should imagine it would be fine. Just my 2cents 😊

@@elena2125 Yes, the lemon juice really works for me. I've woken up during the night with reflux so I get up and drink lemon juice in water. Works every time. Nope, I don't put anything else but water and lemon juice. Depending on how bad the reflux is I put more or less juice...but you'd need to be able to drink it so do it to your taste. I'd get reflux every night when eating bad (chocolate, biscuits, Donuts etc) so I'd either have lemon before bed or wake up and get some. A very few times I've had to do both before and during bedtime because what I ate was just so bad and so much. I restarted low carb on Sunday and so far no need for lemon juice - except on my salad 😊.

@@elena2125 it sure does! Too much sugar means your stomach is too alkaline and that's why you can get reflux. It's why replacing the acid (lemon juice) helps.
