If Nami is unbeatable like you say then why are we not in a Nami Tier zero format? You kept complaining about how he was saying "draw the out" when in your scenarios he always had kaya's and pilafs and you always bricked. Black Yellow Luffy isn't and auto loss because nami doesn't run gravity blade. He said if more players play gion to counter nami then he will play gravity blade to deal with it which is max 2 in a nami deck. Your argument for Doffy and Reiju was we have to draw pudding but he will always have Apis/Pilaf/Kaya. Lucci kills kayas and blockers and can hit 9 with multiple swings. Which Peron deck plays gecko and sabo as only black cards? Enel swings 9k consistenly. Bonny swings 9k consistenly and has Hodi and Zoro. You don't like playing against nami, that's fine, next time make some arguments and don't strawman his positions.
First point - you misconstrued his point. It's was not that people who win dont understand card design, it's that you shouldn't trust their opinion on card design just *because* they have serial wins. Point 2 starving, yes nami can play cards to self mill, but the majority of most decks is still counter events swinging with no intent allows them to only mill faster. Using alt removal to kill kayas and searchers prevents them from returning them to hand to slow their mill. I don't start attacking until I have established multiple big bodies that I can boost with don!! Point 3 swings, obv you can't swing a shitload of 13k's. But most decks have big bodies you can establish to swing with don!! Attached. My general strategy is pressuring with 11ks, 13ks, and 6ks (to remove single 2k counters) I find I can *easily* beat nami regardless of the deck. I'm not going to get upset and call you bad, but I think you're too headstrong in your thought process and cannot see the points that are being made. First off, I appreciate the content that you and VV bring out, and I hope life and stuff is going well. Love your videos and you were the first channel I watched when I started playing OPTCG in July. I'm a competitive Magic: The Gathering player and of course I am accustomed to playing against mill decks, and honestly I find them boring but to each their own. In Magic, this deck style is fine because the game itself has been longstanding and there are plenty of decks and colors that can work around it. Moving over to One Piece, it is pretty crazy that only blue has a true counter to the Nami deck. I know we can't keep calling for new bans, but Bandai needs to balance things out. On another note, I played in a store tournament (got second woo!) with my rush Zoro deck and the final matchup was me against a Nami player. He genuinely did not look like he had a good time playing the deck and he was just practicing for Nationals. I wasn't having a fun time during the matchup either. one of your previous videos spoke on the health of the game with Nami leading meta, and I completely agree. It's a bad look. Thanks for reading my Ted Talk, Much love
Yooo thanks for the comment. Welcome to the community. I know a lot of people coming from magic have plenty experience with alt win cons. I don’t mind them in other card games. But this one blue is the only consistent answer which sucks. So yeah you’re right on that. If all decks could just tech in a card for nami it would be completely fine. Congrats on the tournament brotha
If I knew swinging 9k, 11k, and 13k is all I had to do to beat nami, I wouldn't lose with green yellow yamato. I think I am going to try that next time I play against Nami. I can't believe I never thought about building a wide board and swinging those numbers.

I had never played against a nami until last week and I was playing Enel. I got out 2 gedatsu, 2 rocket luffy and one yamato and by then they were under 20 cards in deck. They played pilaf 4 turns in a row, 3 kaya and a couple of searchers and were just milling through their deck like crazy. I genuinely didn't know tactics but swung 7 and 9s as that's what I heard was good to swing (although now I think 6s can be good too). I inevitably lost which tbh is fine, I have never played against nami before. My conclusion though was It was just boring, no interaction with the opponent.. Nothing. And I think I was pretty lucky with even having the gedatsu and rocket luffy which means I was able to put characters down. But it's okay. Now I know.... 13s... GG
But saying that because he plays removal doesn’t mean he will see it, is hypocritical because you are saying that because you are playing Gion that you will see it. As someone who plays Nami, I agree it's boring as hell and very reliant on your opponent hitting you. I also think that Nami loses a lot more to all meta decks, I don't think I've ever felt a "I win because you're x leader", but I'm also not trying to play top 1% or try to be the most optimal gamer alive. I definitely think you're more in the "correct" stance on the topic though even though I like both you and Mil
Should see his Blackbeard video.... "If you lose to Nami, you are bad at the game" "Black beard is no skill and just hands out free wins" The hypocrisy of this guy is unbelievable....
After watching your previous video, this video, and his reaction video. I think you’re overreacting a bit to Nami being good for realistically a week. The ban list is officially enforced on September 6th and set 8 releases on September 13th here in the U.S. I don’t think Nami potentially being the best deck for a week will be as bad as you’ve projected and I don’t think morethatmills articulated his points in a good way either. Maybe set 8 Nami may become a true menace, but I’m looking forward to the new meta.
@@MugiwaraOPTCGthat’s fair and if Nami wins it cool if not that’s cool too. I don’t think one week of Nami winning will be bad for the game, but to be fair I’m also just looking ahead towards set 8 and playing with 4 out of the 6 new leaders.
I never get when people talk about Nami, they try to have it both ways, "It's easy to beat bro just have the right cards/swing 9 😂😂", and also "Lmao nami beats every deck with Grav Blade and Hanger, Gion is useless"
as someone that has a lot of experience with other TCGs over the last 8 years it is had to understand why people are so scared of Nami. She is the only leader currently in the game with an alt win con. Having alt win cons in a TCG is usually a good thing, it helps keep the game refreshing and new. Nami as a leader is a skill check to most players to see how well they know the match up and how well they know how and when to swing based on the cards and DON available. If something happens to Nami and means the deck is not really viable anymore then a lot of people will leave. I would suggest looking at other TCGs and seeing their alt win cons as it help those games. Nami is fine and if you know how to play against it you can win.
Nah fr i watched that earlier and was like aight so the out is to just not swing until 10 don and then spend 4-5 more turns playing 9 or 10 costs? Wonder why i never thought of that, dudes goofy fr
I am genuinely wondering if this millguy has ever competed in a regional EVER. Please somebody tell this man t he regional format is different than sim format and if he hasn't at LEAST competed in a regional he shouldn't have a voice on what is and what isn't good for the game.
Yeah I think anyone who doesn’t have multiple tops shouldn’t voice their opinion on high level meta issues. Of course at first I didn’t have tops either but I at least played in multiple big tournaments with real decks and studied the game
I can tell you for a fact he’s coping. I am making an article video on this topic and addressing his response to you with my own opinions on Nami. Like keep at it bro. Deck needs to go.
Alternative win conditions are cool and healthy at a local level for tilting your buddies but when it's topping regionals that's so brutal. It's not even the same game anymore if that happens. Im not bitching and moaning that much about nami, but I've never walked away from a win even and gone "man that was so fun"
Consistent list with ivankovs BY luffy stomps over nami. Getting ace/Luffy out really early applies too much pressure. Esp when some lists play 3 makino. Kuzan build is obviously harder. But ii think that list should also run 2-3 ace pairs for nami. I think playing 1 is a mistake. 3 makino helps with this though. You dont play gecko, at all. thats 8 don you could use swinging with 5-6k + 8k luffy
Swinging 13 with 3 characters with Enel without any duplicate characters is wild. Even with his example ace (+3 don), Yamato (+4 don), gedatsu (+7 don). Since when were we playing with 14 don 😂
The last part about not watching his content was way too harsh. I hate Nami, but I guess she could be part of the game to some extent, though never close to an S-tier level like she is now. Maybe the advice is not to take everything a content creator says to heart without checking it out for yourself. For example, I started on OP03 and, because of a UA-camr, I started playing with BY Big Mon. What a mistake, hahaha! And the point about basketball was priceless.
All I got from his video was Nami isn't broken it has counters but I have workarounds for those counters, practice high rolling into the matchup otherwise you dont know the game and it's a skill issue
Im really not hating but I don’t understand how he talks about nami being the most interesting leader and how milling is needed so the whole tcg can survive because from his perspective doing combos and attacking the opponents life so they can lose a life is boring and bad. If he was a multiple Regional winner or somehow world champ i would shut up , but imagine talking about other decks like lucci level 1 or level 2 players where the only color he plays is blue and it’s nami. It’s like me playing football in my backyard and talking smack about basketball players in nba. I would love to see him play against nami with other leaders so I can witness the 13k wide board mega swings
If you know how to play Nami so well. Why don’t you just make a video for how to beat Nami with any deck and help the community? Rather than random drama where you continue to just complain against a deck that isn’t meta
Okay I’m gonna block you from commenting because you either just hate on what I do or try to bait me. I don’t want to make a vid about beating nami cus it’s boring. And also it’s my channel and I want to do things I enjoy

You guys arent doing the community a favour. Take some notes from real_joshua he is a really good one piece tcg youtuber and isnt toxic.
Nami is toxic as an archetype and should never be above tier 2 for the format to be healthy, sorry is just the truth, I have been playing card games since 2012, game design wise having these types of archetypes on top of competitive is a failure, like they failed 3 times in a row with Whitebeard Sakazuki and rp Law, the IP is carrying this poorly made tcg
A lot of these certainties you're speaking of rely on drawing certain cards, which just doesn't happen all the time. Nami has highs and lows just like any other deck in a card game. There are no blanket statements and no one card that you can tech to guarantee a win vs any deck. I've won vs a board of 3 gions with Nami because the opponent didn't know what they were doing and drew extremely well. I've won with a 9k kaya swing bc the opponent got cocky and didn't math correctly. Anything is possible if you give it your best effort and never give up. :) Just learn the matchup, make good plays like you do vs other decks, and get back to making quality content with experienced insight. Stop the hate vs any deck that you don't like because it gives others permission to take that attitude into the real world. A lot of people have decks they dislike playing against. The shifting of the meta provides a unique experience for every player, sometimes you will be happy. Sometimes you will be sad. No need to start calling each other stupid. It's our responsibility to make this community a positive and pleasant place for all players who want to be our nakamas.
Love to see R/G Law still in action, but are there any other good Red Straw Hat Decks? Been trying to cook R/Y Hats under the generic ST13 Sabo Leader for that sweet sweet O-Nami Banish buff and stuffing my characters in the one place most Decks can't nuke them. 😂
I responded to the points he made that I heard. Also he made a reaction to me. I never asked for his opinion because I didn’t want it. But since he went out of his way to make a video I will respond to it how I see fit. I’m not gonna respond to what he’s saying that I didn’t hear. A reaction video to a reaction video?
Can we go deeper?
Can us viewers have a feast tonight?
a good beef is always appreciated
🤣
Let’s go the asmongold route of a 6x reaction
After watching your previous video, this video, and his reaction video. I think you’re overreacting a bit to Nami being good for realistically a week. The ban list is officially enforced on September 6th and set 8 releases on September 13th here in the U.S. I don’t think Nami potentially being the best deck for a week will be as bad as you’ve projected and I don’t think morethatmills articulated his points in a good way either. Maybe set 8 Nami may become a true menace, but I’m looking forward to the new meta.
I’m pretty chill on this. I think it’s bad for the game but I’m very calm in my approach. I’m just making vids. It’s my job
@@heartpiratestcgabsolutely keep it up!
That week also happens to have the most important tournaments of the season in both Europe and North America
Nami just won a regional
@@MugiwaraOPTCGthat’s fair and if Nami wins it cool if not that’s cool too. I don’t think one week of Nami winning will be bad for the game, but to be fair I’m also just looking ahead towards set 8 and playing with 4 out of the 6 new leaders.
I play blue doffy. Thank you for telling me all I have to do is swing for 13... it's super easy to do in my deck xd.
Thank god for his advice lol
As a Bonney player no doubt zoro is key but it’s not a 4 of for that deck and you MAYBE see it max 10% of games. This guy is living in another world.
Literally. It’s not searchable or a 4 of. So playing it on curve is ridiculously difficult
Man really said nami was the most interactive deck in the game 😂😂😂
Actual bozo lol
Lol, did u see the game where he played and got recked by the Gion 🤣
You're my favorite of all OP TCG creators
Yooooo are you fr lol or is this troll
Nah fr i watched that earlier and was like aight so the out is to just not swing until 10 don and then spend 4-5 more turns playing 9 or 10 costs? Wonder why i never thought of that, dudes goofy fr
Lmao he didn’t hear himself talk
There’s only one way to settle this.. you both playing live stream sim match againts each other.. 😊😊
Swing 13 bro, gg.
Sing 13 bro, gg baby.
Easy serial bro
@@heartpiratestcg swing 13, how did we not think of that bro?
I need popcorn stat
So as a yellow player im supposed to use 4 amaru on my flampee to swing 13k?
Alternative win conditions are cool and healthy at a local level for tilting your buddies but when it's topping regionals that's so brutal. It's not even the same game anymore if that happens. Im not bitching and moaning that much about nami, but I've never walked away from a win even and gone "man that was so fun"
I mean that guy only talk about how kat is so brain dead when it’s already out of the meta. His Nami opinion really doesn’t matter
I think he was talking about big mom can hit 13k easily😂.
@@KhoaLe-tr3cg and take a life on play
Yeah what he’s saying is not logical at all lol. “Just swing 13 bro” that’s not the answer
It could be harsh but this guy was insulting me on his video so I don’t care
You have a point there but, you didn't had to said tha you dont care 😂😅
This guy obviously doesn't know squat about this card game
I gave up when one over-countered my 21k swing…
Lmao that’s so funny. They don’t even have to counter 21 they just have to mill out first
At this point you guys gotta do a money match
I would bet all the money in my bank account that I would win a best of 3 with any deck that isn’t nami. Like mirror match doffy or ivankov or gecko.
Hptcg "4 copies and searchers for that card"
Me, a kaido player:😭😭😭😭 "relate"
Literally lol
All I got from his video was Nami isn't broken it has counters but I have workarounds for those counters, practice high rolling into the matchup otherwise you dont know the game and it's a skill issue
Not a black player, but Why wouldn’t the lucci player wanna always run Stussy then? 19:25
Everyone is forgetting we have the true Nami counter: Byrnndi World. Swing for 800k gg ez.
Swing 13 GG!!
It’s way too easy bro. Why didn’t we think of that
Why so much hate? Is it that difficult to beat Nami?
Not hate. It’s just pointing out the truth
Game is supposed to be fun. People leave matchup because it is boring. Sounds like a deck for a healthy game.
@@SEanBwal lmao literally
Just think it as the interesting deck. It is so fun. If you are the good player, there will be no complain for the mid-tier deck.
@@w1-w2-w3nami isn't mid. It literally is winning multiple regional and treasure cups
Nah this Nami player is cringe ass hell. You should have went in on him 10x more heart.
It's time to take the gloves off
The Nami zombie horde mad pressed in the comments here 🤣
LITERALLY
Just swing 13k while they have 5 cards to mill out 😂
Lucci? Tht u?
If you know how to play Nami so well. Why don’t you just make a video for how to beat Nami with any deck and help the community? Rather than random drama where you continue to just complain against a deck that isn’t meta
Okay I’m gonna block you from commenting because you either just hate on what I do or try to bait me. I don’t want to make a vid about beating nami cus it’s boring. And also it’s my channel and I want to do things I enjoy
@@heartpiratestcg I’m not hating bro. I actually really like your content. I watch almost all of your videos and try to be active in your discord. I just advise it may be better for you to show how to destroy Nami and help your community so it won’t be a problem. Rather than complain about it and get into little beefs over it. By not helping your community beat Nami you are allowing Nami to win more games than it should which means you will face it more
Start swinging 13k turn 1 GG
He said he will quit OPTCG when nami gets ban but talks about health of the game.
So in other words, he only sees that nami is the only thing that is holding off the health and stability of the game 🤣🤣
If nami can find and setup 2-3 blockers when below 20 cards it Ggs for most decks.
Yeah and usually they’re high on life too
The law ban has made Nami T0.5
Just swing 13 bozo gg ez
We found the route
Nami saps the fun out of the game
Couldn’t agree more
I jus thope the one piece community wont get toxic. all this clickbaiting youtubers bitchinf about decks they dont like the play against and insulting eachother, acting like they invented the game and know evrything. You guys arent doing the community a favour.
Take some notes from real_joshua he is a really good one piece tcg youtuber and isnt toxic.
I don’t need to take notes from anyone lol
Just learn the matchup, make good plays like you do vs other decks, and get back to making quality content with experienced insight.
This guy is a tool 😂
@@Rumham729 Can't build anything without tools! More effective than punching, even Franky agrees. 👍
There is 1 deck that can search Zoro Red/Green law with 1 cost nami that's our only consistent deck too beat nami lol.
Yeah and unfortunately it dies to lucci lol
Love to see R/G Law still in action, but are there any other good Red Straw Hat Decks? Been trying to cook R/Y Hats under the generic ST13 Sabo Leader for that sweet sweet O-Nami Banish buff and stuffing my characters in the one place most Decks can't nuke them. 😂
Dang you are obsessed with nami. Is nami winning flagships in mass now?

True. I would say most people know more about the balance or health of a game if they play at a high level than the makers of the game cus they have an inside scoop

Speaking about logic...
Where was the call for banning saka?
Nobody enjoyed playing against it, it won in the west more than every other Deck and nearly all decks had an autoloose, if the luck was on the side of the saka player
Oh wait you were a saka main i forgot...
Talking about the kind of interactions between players
So you want to tell me if one aspect is missing you dont interact?
So red zoro isn't interacting with his opponent because he only attacks? yeah...
lmao thats how I know you dont watch any of my videos. Because I said in previous videos if Saka dominated for 3 sets in a row like whitebeard did then I am fine banning the leader or at least restricting cards that make him as powerful. But if you recall.... Saka wasnt actually dominating until set 6. Set 5 was a 3 deck meta.
