- A tour and review of the primitive tent campsites at Crater Of Diamonds State Park Campground in Murfreesboro, Arkansas. There are only five of these walk-in sites but they are centrally located within the campground and only a very short drive from the Crater Of Diamonds Visitor Center.

My husband and I just reserved one of these sites for an upcoming trip at the end of September. Just to let you all know. The W1-W5 designations are no longer being used. They're just given numbers now. We have #51 which is what used to be W3. They must have just made the change this year in 2020.

Forgot to mention we found a small but pretty and shiny piece of quartz at the campsite. Closest thing to a diamond we brought home but just a reminder you never know what you might find even at the campground. Lots of people bring their gravel back to sort through, so keep an eye out for a sparkly diamond!
OneCrazyFamily you never know!! There is a diamond mine not far!! I found my biggest conglomerate at the tent sites!! Lol took it home
Nice! A ranger mentioned a family found a small diamond at one of the RV sites in the spring or early summer. A lot of the time we are content just looking at the rocks haha.

Yes sir!! That’s my spot! Lol closer to the toilet also! Lol it gets cold down in there around Jan-Feb
Nice. We'd like to get a camper or small travel trailer one day. Enjoy the tent but the weather definitely restricts it.
Throw a tarp over it and your good ! Rain and cold! Lol

Great looking campsite very reasonably priced too I like that they have fire pits...arent those walking stick bugs poisonous definitely a strange looking insect
Yes, very reasonable! They aren't poisonous though some species can omit a funky substance but they're really harmless to humans. I love how well they can camouflage themselves in their surroundings. So easy to miss right in front of your eyes!

LOL. No plans to go back quite yet but hopefully someday!
It's nice they have a laundromat and things for the kids.
