I was able to get a brand new Walther PPQ M2 9mm from a local pawn shop - it had been for sale for over 3 years and nobody bought it (crazy!) I got it about a month ago and it is definitely one of my favorite pistols. Incredible ergonomics and super reliable. It has made me a big fan of Walther.

I much appreciate your appreciation of "foreign made" handguns! I am an American, and have found that nearly every "American Made" gun contains foreign made parts or materials! That is how it IS. There may be better guns, but the best that I have ever owned was a 1990 South Korean made Daewoo DP51 9mm, also known as a K5, and now only available as a re-worked luxury ceracoat model Lionheart pistol from Washington State. The design is brilliant, and it shoots like a dream---if you see a used one DO NOT HESITATE...............................elsullo

At first I thought it was you 22lr until you showed the mags. I have Walther pistols and for me they are my favorite manufacturer. You solidified my desire to get one of these 9mm pistols. Your so correct on the machining, polymer and trigger. And anyone that hates on you for showing fine firearms can kiss my hillbilly ass. This Walther I could carry but I want it for in a few years when I retire I want to shoot still challenge matches here in the western part of our bluegrass. Take care buddy cause the snow is coming this week
I've been a fan of the PPQ for several years. The trigger really is amazing right out of the box. It makes me look like a great shot in front of my neighbors.
It helps me out too! LOL It really is great when compared to others in the polymer framed/striker fried genre!

Hey Buffalo as an owner of a Walther PPQ M2 4" your review is spot on accurate. Best firearm I've ever owned and is my edc which I wear iwb & owb. I changed my sights to XS F8's.

The Walther PPQ M2 is my EDC handgun that I conceal carry & I've carried many different handguns that were excellent reliable firearms but the PPQ is just above & beyond the others & I trust my life with it!!! Also the magazines are very expensive but Walther makes superior products!!

I've always loved my 1911 in 45ACP. I wanted a 9mm and went for the PPQ M2 because the trigger came very close to the feel of the 1911. It doesn't have the rubbery spongey feel of a lot of other striker fired pistols.

Extremely well made gun and a well done review. Very thorough, thanks for sharing. I love a pistol with a 5" barrel, they seem to shoot well.
I've come to appreciate the 5" models more and more. And with the shorter grip of the PPQ it's not that hard to carry concealed. The slide is the easy part to conceal.

I bought this 9mm pistol a few months ago in the (SC) subcompact version as my new carry gun. The trigger was fantastic right out of the box....... It was so good right out of the box that my wife has now "borrowed" this pistol. I don't think I will ever get to carry "my" pistol again. This is a fantastic firearm and the subcompact version was even cheaper, it is just a great shooter. Being a retired LEO, I personally only buy pistols that do not have external safeties. Safeties are great but there are reasons that some people prefer not to have an external safety. I'm back to carrying my 30 year old S&W 640 5 shot revolver and searching (again) for a new carry pistol, lol. Great stuff as usual Buffalo, we seem to have similar tastes in firearms. I too have the 22LR version of that, and have ran close to 10K rounds thru it. My buddy has the 9mm version, and I've ran 500 or so thru it. A fine pair of handguns.

The trigger system is probably one of the best out of the box and one of the reason being so accurate. I have both the M2 5" and the Q5 Match and used it for USPSA competition. The new PDQ has just been released and it will be my new gun for 2021.
Man I want one of those too! It might take me a while to save up but I will get one eventually!

I bought a PPQ M2 4 inch barrel for my very first pistol. Best decision I ever made.

Great video!! I absolutely love my PPQ M2 .40 S&W with the 5" barrel. Mine is the law enforcement series so it has ports cut in the slide (not the barrel so it is not compensated). Prior to buying it I had rented a PPQ 9mm with the 5" barrel, the competition model. I fell in love with the trigger and accuracy. So in 2019 when my LGS had these .40 models (new) selling for $429.00 I jumped on it as the price was excellent and I am a .40 cal lover. It was perfect for me and mine shoots like a dream.

I have a m&p 2.0 5” performance center but I’m thinking about buying one of these two, idc how immature it sounds but I love their logo

I like the look of that pistol. My wife used to be a huge must have an external safety person. But since she's started shooting more and carrying for self defense she now would much rather shoot my 40 with no external safety. She has a 9 with a safety but she carries my 40 without an external safely. I love any gun as long as it does what it should. Another good video Buffalo 🐃
Good for you and your wife! Personally I don't like a manual safety on a self defense pistol but I don't chastise those who do. This is America and if they want a manual safety they should be able to have one. I will defend my position that guns without manual safeties are safe but what each person wants is up to them. It's so nice to get reviews from someone who understands that we're not all gun "experts," with most of us just being Americans who love firearms and can't afford to keep buying and then losing money trading, because we didn't know or understand the pros and cons of individual guns. Unfortunately, a lot of UA-cam gun channels are made by people who act like they're talking only to fellow "experts," that already know so much about guns in general. They often leave out many details and impressions that might be purchase deal breakers on firearms we consider buying.

I have handled the PPQ M2 and what you're saying about the grip ergonomics and the trigger are spot on. One of the most ergonomic and natural feeling semi's on the market. In my opinion, the Walther is SO much better made than the average Glock.

WALTHER has always made a good pistol for work or sport. I like that you bring out the good ones as it is being difficult to see all of them. 9mm is a very popular caliber these days but not the price tags.

Great review Buffalo! Have the Canik version tp9 sfx. That handgun is SUPER impressive as well. The trigger is the best around.

That’s one pistol l haven’t shot but from yours and others reviews they all be good saying there fine guns and the trigger is the best. Hopefully one day I’ll get a chance to shoot one stay safe don’t get to cold.👍

I love my PPQS also 22,9mm,45acp walthers have one of the best out of the box triggers you will ever buy in their price range l love glock also but do trigger jobs on all of mine I did have a pps 40 but traded for a glock 23

criteria you've set, then buy it. You'd be supporting a local dealer and their employees too. They live here don't they?
I buy whatever I want, and I do like Walther guns,.. from their Air Rifles to their handguns. They ( Walther ) really build a great shooting and fitting gun. They shoot well too.

I like the long sight rad & short grip. Also the fact that the trigger doesn't have to fully cock the striker.
PS I also like my plastic "U" shaped glock rear sight picture. Great vid Mr Buffalo!
That long sight radius really help wring the most out of it for sure. On all my Glocks I always change the sights out and I always wondered who it was that likes those factory Glock sights....now I know it's you! LOL Thanks for tuning in have a great day!

Walther is generally a well made firearm however I have never been attracted to them, can't explain it, just a personal preference. Great video and shooting. Thanks for posting.

More of a Sig Sauer fan as I seem to have several. Try to get your hands on the Sig P210 target model. I love mine but man are they expensive $1500.

It is a very good handgun. It's a shame that your state makes it tough to exercise your basic rights. I have a feeling the federal government is going to try to make it like that for the rest of the country as well.
i think walthers are underrated ive handled a few they just out of my budget for now and i think they really have great features for what you pay
