Mahjong Tips and Tricks for Beginners | Day 3 RULES on PONGS & CHOWS | Hong Kong Cantonese Mahjong

DAY 3 - Today we're learning about some quick and simple rules (but very important) rules on pongs & chows (also called sheungs). Pongs are 3 of a kind and chows are runs of 3 consecutive numbers.

Hello Virginia. These tips have been very helpful. I would love to learn Mahjong. I bought a mini set from the store her in the US but the instructions weren't very helpful. I would like to learn the traditional Chinese way of playing. Would you be able to help with that? Maybe point me to a website or a detailed video that helps. Thank you for your time!

Hi Virginia, I found your channel through Hong Kong Hoods and he went ti your house to learn mahjong. In that video, there was a merchant in Jordan that was a mahjong carver. I would love to purchase a mahjong set from him. Do you know if they ship to U.S.?

The sets are about $700 USD to commission and they’re a bit heavy so I would assume shipping could be quite expensive?
As far as I know, I don’t think he overseas requests as it’s all cash only as well? Sorry that wasn’t particularly helpful ☹️
