Jay, I'm pretty sure you put the choke shaft in backwards, and if you pop that plastic ring off the slide, you'll see a dimple in the slide that the tab on the diaphram sits in. Easy enough to press the plastic ring back on after you line up the diaphram.
Nice disassembly and rebuild video👍🏻. I have said for years now, the greatest advancement aid in engineering/ physical technical work this decade is the smartphone. You can take pictures or videos as a guide as you go to help reassembly. What chemicals if any did you use in your ultrasonic parts cleaner? Thanks for posting 😃
I just used dish soap. A more aggressive chemical would clean really dirty parts, but these weren't bad at all. Gasoline used outdoors is super effective. Not recommended for people who still have lives to lead though... ;)
