Hello mr ranger, great videos always, been always useful to me in my DIYs and saved me some money.
When are you going to do a complete timing belt change video and/or complete engine mounts replacement video please?
Can't wait to see those.
Thanks.
africa.fs.07 they are coming up stay tuned

Best tutorial I've seen thus far. No rambling, no redundancy, easy to understand.
I just watched six videos on bleeding my brakes. Unfortunately for me yours was the 6th (and final). Yours was the absolute best. Well done !!
All his videos are remarkably good at dispensing BS and getting to the point.
Same!
Wonderful video, short, no music, no frills. 100% logically informative, thank you.
Oops, I was pumping to the floor. I knew my brakes felt worse after flushing. A million bleeding videos and only a few cover delicate pumping. Thumbs up.
2 min video on the whole process. That is impressive
So easy to understand. Thank you🎉
I love videos where there isn't 10 minutes of rambling for a couple of minutes of content. Well done! 👍
10+ min video's are because they are getting $$ if you watch all 10+ min WITH commercials
Well done. And without unnecessary lengthy introduction and bs
Thank you
Hello Sir, Thankyou so much for your video and kind consideration of others and your help.
Some really helpful pointers were, I didn't know, not to push the pedal to the floor when bleeding. I also found magnets on the side of your bleeding bottle a great idea. Thank you again, you were a great help and inspiration.
Hello Sir, I've just completed my rear drum brake job. I'm thrilled. You were the engine that helped and pushed me to do it.
In the beginning, it seemed daunting, and if something went wrong, I was apprehensive in knowing what to do. I didn't renew the brake shoes, that wasn't the problem. The problem was that the brakes weren't releasing after overnight parking. I assumed something had seized.
In the process of refitting the shoes, I caught the cylinder seal and a little fluid seaped out.
I've just bled that cylinder and all went great. In future, I won't be afraid of having a look because I now have the confidence to go forward.
That's all down to you, my friend. Sleep well tonight Sir. I am one of the many people you've helped.
Thank you, and Godbless you.
Ps. I've just watched it again.
Straight, to the point, is easy to follow.
Genius, my friend.
You should be in Hollywood with films like that! 😉.
I need to do this on my Toyota and Honda. You made it so easy. Thank you for posting.
Awesome great video. Straight to the point and simple. The bleeder bottle is awesome as well
When I saw the Jesus sandals, I knew I was in good hands. Great video!
Lol
Love that there is no silly music on this video
Excellent video. Quick and to the point!!!
Glad to see a short video and not a lot of talk and stuff 👍👍👍👍
Hey great video. Quick question though. How much do you need to bleed the brakes? When do you stop pumping the brakes? Is there an amount of fluid that needs to come out?
when the fluid starts coming out nice and clean with no air bubbles
@@MrRangerZr1 thank you!
For me black color brake fluid automatic dirty. Even still come out good on a test I'll just replace it.. Thanks for the video 👍
Good example bro I appreciate the walk through.
How do I know when to stop pumping the tires?😊
Yes we love the sandels 😎😎👌
After viewing your video. Done on my kids Camry Easy. Thanks
What I usually do is have someone press the brake fully, with system closed, then I open the valve quickly and reclose it, so no air enters the system. How would this damage seals? Isn't this what happens when you brake normally in the car? Or do you mean it would damage seals if someone pressed the brake fully while the valve was open?
I meant not to push the brake pedal beyond normal travel, don't push on the brake pedal all the way down to the floor.
I LOVE THE MAGNET IDEA !!!
Impeccable fast clear right video thank you sir
What are we looking for in the bottle? How do we know when we’ve bled the old fluid out?
You can see the old fluid coming out at 1:43 when clear fluid starts to come out you're good to go.
I am absolutely new to this, I still don’t understand how to measure torque pressure when turning a wrench, thanks!
Basically when you feel the click when tightening with the torque wrench set to a certain value, you reached the set value and you don't need to tighten anymore than that.
@@MrRangerZr1 Oh so in those wrenches you can setup how much torque you want to turn, right thanks I've been binge watching a lot of these videos in preparation for my new car and I always get lost. Thank you so much !!!!
I naturally & respectfully assume that you are using a torque wrench (as against an ordinary wrench) to do the job in the first place??? All torque wrenches have a set of simple instructions that they come with & the tool itself is very easy to use & set to the desired torque setting you want!! It's actually school boy stuff & I'm only a DIY mechanic. (I normally service boring computers, ugh!!) Plenty of good instructional videos on Torque Wrench use on "UA-cam".
@@brendonrutherford5118 yes! I thought it had to be measured in a specific way but I recently bought a Dexter torque w
Just ordered this bleeder kit per your link in the description. Will the tubing fit the bleeder valves on my 2009 Honda Accord? It says "universal fit" in the description. I just bought a bleeder kit from O'Reilly the other day for my brother's Toyota Avalon and it worked, however, I had to use an adapter for the bleeder valves since the tubing was too small and wouldn't fit.
It'll work on your accord
Thank you for the short and to the point video. What brake bleeder bottle you using?
Link in the description
Good video. Looked at my fluid and it needs to be changed. Probably gonna do it next weekend.
Thanks. Nice safety boots
Do u turn on your vehicle when you're ready to depress the brake pedal?
No engine will be off when you're bleeding
@@MrRangerZr1 thank man much appreciated 🙏
The vehicle needs to be running in order to bleed the brakes, correct?
no
Is this done before or after changing pads and rotors?
After

What type of spray did you use to clean off the master cylinder? Thanx
Brake parts cleaner
Do you have to start and finish in a certain side?
Yes. Driver left, then driver right, then driver rear, finally rear passenger.
one more question: many of ppl say the bleeding should begin from far - rear passenger wheel but some mechanics said it will make dirty fluid runs all over so they go the opposite - starting from front driver. which one should be correct?
Honda shop manual says front left, front right, rear right, rear left
@@MrRangerZr1 Service manual for 92-95 Civic says Rear Right, Front Left, Rear Left, Front Right. (Page 19-13).
All Audi's since 2009 or so say to start with the left front, then right front, then rear left, and rear right.
It depends on the car. Usually with left hand drive cars the rear passenger side is the first one based on the longest distance from the master cylinder. In some cars the abs system may change that. You have to follow the scheme laid out in the service manual of the particular car and it's version.
what is that initial cleaner you use in your videos to knock off grime?
Brake cleaner
Hey @MrRangerZr1 gave you a thumbs up. Thanks for being very informative and easy to follow. I'm also a subscriber
"Do not let it (the reservoir) run dry."
But you sucked all the old dirty oil out, so it 'went dry', no? I don't get it. Could you clarify, please?
Thank you.
Don't let the system completely run out of fluid when you're pumping the brakes, always make sure there is fluid in the reservoir when you're bleeding the brakes, don't let it go past the low mark.
@@MrRangerZr1 Strange -- we could see the very bottom of the reservoir!!
Ao just wondering, you don't have to have someone close the valve everytime you let go of the brakes and then open when the brakes get pushed down?
No it has a check valve so you can do this all by yourself
Thanks for all your videos. Always looking forward to ur video
Me too, always...
What you spray with doc?
brake cleaner
Does that bottle have a 1 way valve or something?
It has a check valve. One of the best tools I bought.
What is the sequence for 2013 Honda odyssey? Is it front left, right then rear left right? I can't find it on Google :(.
Front left, front right, rear right, rear left.
@@MrRangerZr1 thank you..
Why need to bleed break fluid? If break fluid is low or empty, can we just put new break fluid?
You need to flush the system out for air and contaminants once in a while
What is the sequence do you follow when you bleed the brakes? I heard start drivers side and rotate clockwise. Is this correct? Thanks!
yes
You start at the wheel which is farthest from the master cylinder first and work your way to the closest. On most vehicles the starting point would be the passenger rear tire, then driver side rear passenger front then drive or front.
What is inner diameter of the tube catching fluid from the brake calliper?
Check link in description for specs
Thank you for the good video and thank you for introducing tools related to brake oil exchange.
May there be hope and peace in Ukraine.
I see you have 2 different brake fluids, I've had my 2013 Accord Sport for 3/4 years & haven't changed the fluid yet. I plan on doing in within the next 2 months, which one do you actually recommend???
Dot 4 is more for performance oriented cars, or if you brake like a mad man.
Dot 3 will do just fine.
@@MrRangerZr1 I greatly appreciate your help man, thank you🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Shall we do it with engine on or off... As vacuum will not be available in off engine position
Engine off
Thanks for the reply, one more query for you... If we place a air filled ballon over the reservoir, will it help to take fluid out of the wheel cylinder without pressing the brake pedal....
@@anoopgoel2225 they have a system like that, but this way works well on any car
Got it, many thanks
You are actually supposed to remove negative battery cable first according to my Nissan manual
How do you know when to stop pumping the brake to flush the old fluid?
when the fluid comes out clear
You did only one side and what about other brakes?
It's the same time for the other sides, I did them all.
which tire should be bleed first and which should be the last? some says start with the farthest tire from the master cylinder and some say the opposite way.
Honda shop manual says front left, front right, rear right, rear left.
What's the different ? your video said don't force the pedal to the floor but chrisfix video said the opposite? I need to bleed my 2013 oddy
I don't think chris fix said to force the pedal but he shows himself forcing down the pedal in his video.
You are stressing the master cylinder and it's seals when you force the pedal farther down than normal operation. This may result is brake failure.
how can this bleeder sure that there will be no air in the system?
It has a check valve
Very informative video. Thank you!
Hello Mr Ranger, I notice you mentioned “Slow and light pumps. Not force pedal but what if was forced? Could that damage anything? And 2. Now the pedals go all the way down and the brakes don’t work. Everything worked fine before I replaced the calibers any suggestions?? Thanks
Forcing the pedal can damage the master cylinder and seals. The brakes don't work? Did you check over your install?
Well I did the process again bleeding the system and this time I did the open and shut method all four areas and my brakes are complete and fix. But I can’t thank you enough for your reply and I really appreciate that I will recommend others and myself to watch more vids and like and sub thanks
I have usa 2016 toyota Corolla, master cylinder at driver side ,abs module at passenger side, where to start bleed.tq
Driver side front, passenger front, drive rear left, finally passenger rear right.
Can you bleed all four at once or is that a "No-No"?
Just do one at a time
Thank you man it helped me
if the fluid tester indications 'ok'(Green), i don't need to bleed?
Means fluid itself is in good condition
Exellent help,thankyou😊😊
so does the 20$ bleeder bottle have a check valve too? just wondering, why pay 25 for a bottle with a magnet ?
Yes it does.
Trust me, one of the best things I bought for the garage. Bleeds brakes perfectly with no fuss.
Did you use 1 liter or how much
Depends how dirty it is, but yes about a liter
Nicely done ✅
I had a first today. I replaced a rear cylinder on my truck and had someone pump the brakes while I bled them. 3 pumps and hold, I loosened the bleeder valve, brakes did not go to the bottom nor did any fluid come out. Finally on third try, a "little" fluid came out. Brakes did not go to bottom. Tried 5 or 6 times, a little more fluid came out but brakes never went to the bottom. Drove it and brakes feel a little spongy. I have never heard of the brakes not going the bottom when the valve is opened. Thanks for some ideas,
What car? Some cars need a scantool to bleed in that kind of scenario.
How much brake fluid did this take?
This car was pretty bad so it took about 2 32 ounce bottles
@@MrRangerZr1 oh so about 2L of fluid total?
Well done
And when you press break and release dose that make the break system take air inside or the bottle is designed to prevent this happen? Thank you
abdul obeidat the bottle in the video doesn’t let air in the system, it has a check valve.
@@MrRangerZr1 thanks alot .. gonna buy it now but the pipe gonna fit in my break valve ? It is the same size ?my car is ford Taurus 2013 ..thank you again
abdul obeidat should be the same size. Check your bleeder screw.
how to know if we have done enough bleeding ?
Once the fluid comes out clean
Is this method safe to do on abs vehicles?
Yes
Great video. What cleaner did you spray on the brake reservoir? Thanks!
Brake cleaner.
@@MrRangerZr1 Thanks
Is brake cleaner bad for plastic and rubber?
How do you know if your bottle has a check valve?
You should see it with the lid removed and fluid should be going one way and not reversing.
Same procedure even in other car with ABS motor or do i need to turn on key?
You'll need a scantool to operate the ABS.
Others say you should remove the reservoir cap, but i bled my CRV 09 with a tight cap after a master cylinder rebuilt using the original nissin japan rebuild kit. The brake pedal travel still feels deep but much better after the rebuild. Is this normal for CRVs? Compared to a friend's 2020 HRV you just need a slight tap to make the car stop
Sometimes you need to bleed the fluid 2-3 times. Go on a private road and slam on the brakes to activate the ABS module, do that a few times then bleed the brakes.
@@MrRangerZr1 going to try this if i have the time. Many of my weekend projects done only by seeing your videos. Thank you sir for the help.

Is it start engine when you press the brake paddle?
Engine off
Is this done on a honda civic?
CRV. Can be applied to all vehicles.
why slow and light pumps? other videos people pump the pedal to the floor. just want to know the right way!
That is completely wrong. You do not want to go further down than normal pedal travel. That will stress the seals booster etc
@@MrRangerZr1 but this way with bleeder open is going to get Air into ??
@@jose15pina1 No that's why you just crack the bleeder screw open, no need to unscrew it too much. Plus this bottle has a check valve.

1/16" ID
Where can I get one of those bottles with the tube?

Easy but it takes forever when alone. I generally use over a gallon to get it clean...
Over a gallon is extreme. If dirt keeps on coming out, the system is really corroded.

How much do you pull out from the main cylinder? Isn’t it bad if air gets into the master cylinder?
