When you hear that loud hooter siren, that’s the Storm Warning, which means it’s time to gtfo.
This is warning about the yellow storm circle with diagonal lines, closing in from the edge of the map, which means medium level radiation everywhere, followed by the Red circle closing in, which is high level radiation and will melt your car and kill you quick.
Tip is to focus on getting the anchor energy sooner, fill up the bar to the right of your map to above the red line, which means you can exit and that’s when the exit point diamonds show up, so you can plan your exit.
You can’t activate the exits if you’re too close to them though (within their circle) so waypoint as close to that edge as you can, preferably on a road.
These two “gtfo” storms, yellow and red, are different to the solid blobby yellowish storms that are random passing through.
Anchor energy is also what you spend to unlock all your required upgrades for everything, so it’s more important to try and get ALL the anchor energy on each map than any random loot.
Of course there’s the Risk/Reward balance of staying as long as you can to get as much loot, but once you hear that hooter siren man, it’s go time.
One QoL option you may appreciate in the gameplay options is ‘Equipped Part Swapping’, which makes car part removal much smoother.
And ‘Brighter Nights’ is much better for your viewers after YT makes already dark places even darker.
Hope you stick with the game man, it just gets better and better after you get used to a few things.

You cut it pretty close there! I just got this game myself and I’ve been loving it.
Man. Those headlights are a tough subject. You literally finally figure out why the battery is draining so quickly, and say you need to remember to turn them off, then proceed to not do that for the next 20 minutes haha! Gotta say though, I have already bought this game based on the two videos I've seen today, and I can't wait to see where it goes from here. Fantastic content as always. Thank you for putting so much time and effort into the things you do, and keeping us all entertained

I think I figured that out later in the episode. Good catch. I love that detail though.
EDIT: They are draining a bit quick for headlights though! I’m sure that’s it, I just figured they’d balance it a bit better is all.
