Love your videos! Been watching since I heard you two on a podcast. You would obviously know more than me but I think I remember seeing that yacht crash video from February 2021. Did it crash in 2022 as well?
Thank you! We’re so glad you’re enjoying the adventure, and it’s great to have you here with us on the journey. As you may know, we had a long delay after Season 1 due to critical laptop failure so these episodes are a bit (or a lot!) behind real time as we catch back up.
Oh no what kind of outboard do you have??? I work on the water and have for 16 years pile driving and bridge building and have found Yamaha 2 stroke are the best outboards.
2 stroke are fantastic. If we could have, that would have been the way to go for sure. Linc (the AB Dink) has a 4 stroke 30hp Suzuki. It’s a monster, super quiet and super heavy. We get comments at the dinghy dock all the time but it was basically our only option at the time… and iain does love the extra power. 😀
Funny enough, the french islands operate slightly differently to the french mainland. Different in a few ways actually. But for cruising between these islands we can just check in and say how long we will be there for. Weirdly, there isn’t even a limit really. Way more relaxed system that in Europe….perhaps that be the reason. The french islands are not part of EU zones (like French Polynesia)
