hello I have a g29 golf cart, the detail that it has is that it turns on, but it advances little and it turns off, and I have to press the power cut-off, it advances again but it turns off again, help me
@@BlueForceSabers I just bought a 2016 G29 (stock DC motor type) and was thinking about going with the 440 amp controller you also bought since you can simply just replace it. How fast was your cart before and after the mod?
Depends on your use. I replaced my stock motor with the 7hp motor part# 7115 to get up steep hills. (That video is ua-cam.com/video/no71KG6div8/v-deo.html) The upgrade required the 600amp controller. Now its a rocket! If you are keeping the stock motor just stick with the 290amp controller.
Im now to the golf cart worl, just got a 2019 Dr2E. Would this work with my cart without replacing the motor? Im just looking to increase speed. Thanks
Need a little more detail to answer specifically. Locate the serial number to ID the exact model. If it's the Drive 2 AC it should be equipped with a 48-volt 4.4hp motor. Increasing speed really requires a larger motor (with the 600amp controller upgrade.) Just upgrading the controller will likely burn out the stock motor.
@@ntrddragn Do you know the HP rating of your motor and the existing controller amperage? In my (older) YDRE upgrade the 600amp controller had to be mated up with a new 7hp motor. The 600amp controller on the stock 2.5hp motor gave a nominal increase in speed and a drop in torque. So, it might be possible depending on your motor HP.
@@stagescreenstudios the motor says 3.5hp/2.6Kw 30mins. The battery are 170ah @20 Hr.There 6 of them.I don't know what the controller amperage is. Haven't gone in an start opening up a new cart yet. 😅
@@ntrddragn Good morning. Based on the 3.5hp rating, I'd hold off on jumping to the 600amp controller or only upgrade if you also plan on upgrading the motor shortly thereafter.
Hey Justin! Check on the following things 1. Does the cart have a Tow/Run switch under the seat? 2. Does the motor have a speed sensor wire? 3. Are there 2 smaller diameter terminals and 2 larger diameter terminals on the motor itself? 4. Does the motor have shunt or "round wire" coils inside? If the answer to these is yes... then you have a regen motor. The unit in my G29 does have all these.
Great video but it would have been great to see how you wired the controller. Thank you 😊

Blueforcesaber, did you update the controller? Keep stock DC motor?
I have a 2016 G29 and would like to replace the controller. Would I be able to switch it out without removing my back seats?
This requires removing the back seat.. To access the controller.
@@PeteGarvey Did you upgrade your battery cables and solenoid? I went with the 440 instead, so I didn't have too.
@@BlueForceSabers Oops! Missed your post. No, I didnt.

stock motor? Looking at upgrading mine also but didn’t know if i needed a high speed motor or not.

@@stagescreenstudios$700 for controller? What was cost of new motor?
What was your original speed with the stock controller roughly, I was wondering how much faster it is before I purchase.
Hi Jonathon! I was getting about 18mph before and now at 24mph. The big difference is the torque... now it climbs very steep hills with no hesitation!
DC or AC motor? I’m guessing it’s a stock motor

@@stagescreenstudios Its a DC motor. I read that i can just get the Navitas 600 amp controller kit and that should work with my stock motor?

What’s the new top speed and does it climb hills better?!
This is a must do if you have to climb hills. No problem at all now! I think top speed is around 27mph.
@@stagescreenstudios did you need to replace anything else electrically?
@@jaydulka649 Nope Jay that's it... Of course I also replaced the motor with the more powerful one.

Howdy!!! May I please buy your stock computer?
Are you still looking for a controller?
I'm looking for one if you still have it.
@@stagescreenstudios Do you still have that controller for sale? If not, can you suggest anywhere to buy used ones?
Where did you purchase this? How much was it?
Michael Chapman It was purchased via Everything Carts website. $700. Thanks for watching!!
