The coils were definitely an issue that has been mostly resolved. Air temp sensors must have been before we were Sherco USA. Not a known issue in our 5 years as the importer.

I know with my WR450f I got to where I pushed the oil changes to 1000 miles and checked the valves every winter. Other then that I didn't worry about it.
Dude, the intervals are hilarious. Usually you dont really need to do this type of thing, unless you are racing the thing full throttle into full braking over 50 hours. I have no idea why you'd need to replace a con rod or valves, oil pumps usually only fail when material scratches them up... Look at any other mx/enduro bike, especially stuff like the wr450f, and you'll find people doing like 50k kilometers without taking the head off... I'm one of those idiots who does everything with the street legal enduro, putting around 2k kilometers a month on it. Honestly, not too bad. an oil change every 2 weeks, for the amount of fun I get out of it, is worth it. Plus I dont need a car and trailer to get me to the trails, I can just ride there on the road. Manufacturers probably just put this type of maintenance intervals on the bike as an insurance , as they arent sure what kind of monkey is going to ride the damn thing. So they dont get unnecessary lawsuits.

you wear a bunch of safety gear, then you hang your foot off while doing mediocre turns for literally no reason except to blow your knee out as soon as your foot touches the ground, like @8:28. keep your foot on the pegs.
Look into supermoto track riding. A big reason to move the foot up is there’s no room for your foot. I hit the side of my shoe on a number of turns. Also really helps to put some weight on the front end.
The brakes, suspension, and wheels would probably run you 5-6k. And I’d imagine they’d be pretty comparable at that point. On an SM track it would definitely come down to the rider.
@@TheGardenSnake not at all, suspension is great from factory, don't even need anything, the 270mm brakes are also decent, but if you must, you can get a 320mm disc and an adapter for the stock caliper for less than 150 bucks, wheels are the only option that can get very expensive, still, if you opt for vmx or sacratos (new company from portugal) it will cost you under 900€, now you have a supermoto for almost the same price but with much more power, and I mean much more, because I own one, it's overall better, a sherco 500 wouldn't come close to mine.

a half-breed of naked street bike and supermoto. Its based on a street plaform so it somewhat like hypermotard or dorsoduro in term of category. But the other two is like 80% naked 20% sumo while the smc r is the oppositem
KTM bout to start selling brands, they are gonna be lucky if they dont go bankrupt.
That fucking thing weighs as much as my husqy 125cc sms4 did wet! What the fuck!
Why would you want a 16.5 on the front end for racing? I understand it the other way with MX bikes, but no idea why you'd go smaller for SM shenanigans.
How she handle in the wet?
you wear a bunch of safety gear, then you hang your foot off while doing mediocre turns for literally no reason except to blow your knee out as soon as your foot touches the ground, like @8:28.
keep your foot on the pegs.
Look into supermoto track riding. A big reason to move the foot up is there’s no room for your foot. I hit the side of my shoe on a number of turns. Also really helps to put some weight on the front end.
Trick ... but somewhat heavy for a dirtbike
I wonder why they bother doing it street legal if it doesnt have abs so it cant be street legal in eu.
Maybe the eu ones have abs? I don’t know.
@@TheGardenSnake its not even mentioned on my contry website.
price and hp?
Price was mentioned, there’s a whole chapter on it. HP I wasn’t able to fine out and that info isn’t out there.
@@TheGardenSnake aw okay thanks.
@@Mprizas 1,000,000 HP ;) ok, in reality, we aren't sure. France (HQ) doesn't tend to release HP numbers.
you didnt fill the tank up!
I didn’t?
JJJJJJJJJAAAAAKKKEEEEEE
JjjjjjoooøsssëEpqpphhħ
its more expensive than a husqvarna 701 or ktm smcr 690 (75hp) !!!
no electronic, no quickshifter/blibber, tiny tank ...
wtf
The 500 is like 75lbs lighter race bike. I wouldn’t want all the stuff on it. These aren’t different classes of bikes.
also to get an accurate reading just go to your local semi check in and you'll be able to weigh your bike
yea I wouldnt trust the accuracy on those. For cars, sure. For bikes, hell nah
They often read in 20lbs increments
16.5 is so dumb.
I thought so till my last track day. Tried it back to back on bikes that both had race slicks. It just turns in that much harder.
TM smr450 is better
Maybe but we don’t get them here
just get an exc-f 500 and convert it, the sherco 500 doesn't even compete with it
The brakes, suspension, and wheels would probably run you 5-6k.
@@doria500 I think you need to ride a Supermoto with true supermoto suspension and brakes to understand.
@@TheGardenSnake I have, it's not the same but it's not too different, believe me
How long will this bike last before it gets bashed. Starts off how great it is then finishes off how shit it is 🥱
???
Do you mean will it fall apart fast? If so I don’t see any reason to think so. Seems well put together. I’d buy one, in fact..
