I think you never drove any of those vehicles or even owened any of those vehicles. I had both I can clearly say Audi is way above the majority of vehicles on the road.
No way in hell any kind of man with a pair would sacrifice 120 horses for 3 grand. 7 speed, 8 speed...so what. Not to mention the repair and maintenance cost between basically a Nissan and a BMW cost wise. That G37 has been listed as a best buy for a used vehicle for almost 10 years. That Audi....not once. Guys must work for Audi lol. A Buick Lacrosse 60s times are the same as that little Audi. That's shameful within itself. I'd buy a Hyundai Sonata Limited 2.0T before i buy that Audi bs. Especially used.
One of my favorite things about your videos is the "honest" feel. You guys have a nice perspective on things. One of my least favorite things is how long you spend. I often feel like you could cut down the videos by ~33%.
Oh, and I don't know how he got 7+ seconds in the g37. I get to 60 in a little over 5 seconds in an automatic g37s. Did he put regular unleaded in it or something?
I love both cars but I'll go with the Infiniti. Audi card tend to look dated cause every 1-2 years they do a minor refreash, making the previous model year look last-gen. I can look at a 11' A4 and a 12' A4. I would take the 12' cause it looks better.
I just bought an 09 A5 Quattro S-Line. In 09, they still put the 265hp 3.2l V6 in them. Not sure what Audi was thinking, getting rid of the 3.2l as an option??? Hell of a bargain, at $29k with 55k miles on it. Why pay $50k?
I already got rid of it. Too many people were telling me it would kick my ass with maintenance, past 60k miles. Traded it in on a low mileage, Acura TL SH-AWD. Love the Acura, and its more powerful too.
To all the people hating on the Audi. It is hard to beat the instant torque of a properly tuned 4-cylinder turbo. A good example would be how the 2019 Wrangler 4popper turbo cuts a better 0to60 then the big 3.6 v6 vvt. And the 3.6 is rated for more power.
I went from white sexy G35 to blk sexy FX35 for more space. The sound of the exhaust alone gives me goose bumps of happiness. Don't care about performance, interior, MPGs, or design. All about the pipes. A5 design is boring and did u hear the take off from 0-60. I didn't because I took a nap. Love the reviews guys.
i bought a 2007 audi s4 in 2008 and while its a great car performance wise, it gave me a lot of problems from a malfunctioning turning signal relay to holes in my power steering pump in a 2 years span. I learned my lesson for the future to buy an audi with an extended warranty. I now have a 2011 G37x and for the past year i owned it, it's fun to drive, nice engine note and very reliable. The most i replaced so far recently were the brakes and summer tires.
I traded my G37 Coupe on a new Audi A5 2.0T. With nothing but a simple tune, I increased the boost from 14 psi to 21 psi and made the A5 faster than my G37. That's the beauty of a turbo car....they can be made a lot faster simply by turning up the boost. The G37 can't get anywhere near those kind of gains with tune/bolt-ons. And BTW, the 2.0T is a solid engine without any known issues. Keep in mind I'm talking about the E888 version found in the B8 cars.
Tough choice. I gotta give the nod to the G-37X. IMO the G-37 is going to have fewer maintenace issues long term. No turbo maintenace or replacement to worry about. And now that the new Q-50 coupe is coming out soon, you SHOULD be able to pick up a G-37 for a substantial discount. You might be able to get one for $45k or less once the Q coupe hits the showroom.
Infiniti G37 Coupe is way more stylish and reliable. That Audi A5 has an ugly interior and boring exterior design and to make matters worse it comes with a superb UNRELIABILITY! These two dudes are idiots and always biased!!!
Couldn't disagree more with you about styling. I own a g35 and a G37 the fit and finish is just garbage..my seats looked worn after just a year, too much plastic, the cluster is ugly etc. On top of that the Infiniti hasn't looked aggressive since the 35 model coupe even the IPL looks a little girlish. Its a drivers car I bought it for performance and reliability but its nowhere near as gorgeous as the Audi.
+Thomas Rock Nothing is shittier than a Volkswagen and the whole world knows about; in fact, their about to go bankrupt cuz they're punished for duping their own customers and mandated to pay BILLIONS for their deceits. Nissan is a Japanese car company known for their proven outstanding reliability and one of the best selling car brand worldwide, not to mention Nissan is the first non-luxury brand to create a supercar (GTR) that's able to compete and beat european supercars. Volkswagen is a dying brand and everything they make such as Audi will turn into dust! VOLKSWAGEN=AUDI, a recipe for disaster!
+Thomas Rock If that's the only argument u can make then i've made my point and i certainly rest my case. Nissan is superior to Volkswagen, point blank period!
Tell you what why don't you bring your car to Denver and see how fast it goes from 0-60 MPH. Perhaps your better driving can make up for the fact that there is much less air density @ 1 mile above sea level like we say in the video? What do you think? You seem to know it all.
MrDiogenes OfElmhurst I had an altima and I recognize an infinity G37 every time. What I meant is that if I were to spend over 50,000 on a car I, personally, wouldn't like it to look like a 20,000 economy coupe, I would like it to look premium like the A5.
I will concede that in today’s family of cars Audi looks more unique, but, that’s not to say that it’s a better car. I had Audis and Beemers before, now I own G37x, and let me tell you, I would be very reluctant to go back to Audi or Beemer based on appearance alone.
I love both coupes, they are without a doubt great cars regardles. Over all the only real advantage the Audi has over the Infiniti G37 is its modern aesthetic design. Performance wise, the Infiniti G37 is unargueably the better sports cars due to its overall driving dynamics. Both the BMW 3 series coupe & Infiniti G37 coupe are the best performing luxury sport coupes in their class, they have always diminated that part of the market. The Audi A5 is beautiful but the G37 is a more serious rival.
I had both Infiniti G35 and a G37. Then I got an Audi a4 sline and that was the best car ever. So now bought my second Audi. I can go anywhere rain, snow, mud, dirt, hills Street.

You guys are alright, but you're heading the right path, it takes time to get picture perfect quality. I also agree, if people talk about quality, they should prove the passion they claim to have.
i cant believe so much people are on here is defending a cheap ass Japanese car...Wow Infinities are cheap as shit and quick and fast are two different things...the problem is Nissan makes infiniti and Nissan makes Gtr so yall think just because Gtr's are excellent engineer cars that Nissan put that same engineering in there other cars...well they didnt! Nissan make cheap cars and gtr's was always in a league of there own and will remain that way, Nissan will continue to trick you idiots with low quality v6 cars with turbos and cheap interiors and you will keep on taking the bait...what class are infinities are even in? too cheap to be in luxury...not high end enough to be consider a performance car...who knows
I hope you realize that G37 is naturally aspirated. I'm sure the only turbo V6 Nissan currently makes is the GTR until the Redsport Q50 came out recently. but before that 3.0 V6 TT motor Infiniti didn't produce any turbo Motor with their current lineup. So what shitty turbo-V6 Nissan are you talking about?
here I just posted my video doing 0-100 in a base 2015 Q50. Watch it and see how easily I got to 60 in about 5 sec and it went to 100 in another 6 seconds. And that's all stock not AWD nor sport model.
+Richie Singh im sorry but how quick a car get to 60 doesn't change my views on how think infinities are shitty built cars...acceleration doesn't mean its better because the q50 accelerate quicker then the lexus is350 F sport but the lexus is voted the better car overall in all the reviews...infinities are still a work in progress as a company and i feel they just dont make complete cars to compete with its competitors...
+Kevin Smith then that's on you because Infiniti excels many of its competitors in a good amount of ways usually. Infiniti introduced a lot of safety and world first technologies in their vehicles which many other luxury brands then integrated in their vehicles including brands like BMW and Audi. So if you think Infiniti is a cheap shitty worthless brand then i understand we all have our opinions but from a real world perspective you're wrong because Infiniti has some of the best competitors in their segments when it comes down to facts and testing.

We live in Wisconsin. In January 2015, the steering froze due to arctic weather in Wisconsin 0 degrees. Dealer had car for over a month to repair. International Infiniti couldn't be bothered with replacing said defective car. Fast forward to January 2016. Guess what? The steering does not work again. Hmm. You need steering in all climates. Do not buy this car under any circumstance. Brakes do not stop well if you hit a bump. The electronics do not work properly. The fuel economy for a hybrid isn't worth the extra money. Perhaps you should stopping making mean and uniformed comments when you don't seem to have a clue as to what altitude does to engine power...just sayin'
As a person who has owned both of these vehicles, the G37 will give you much more road feel and driver involvement, but the Audi will have more refinement and a quieter ride. Neither is "better", just a matter of pros & cons and what YOU are looking for.
I love seeing all the comments about the G37. The rule of thumb, or so ive seen, is around 4%~ power loss per 1,000 feet of elevation on a naturally aspirated engine. So that 330hp Infiniti motor only realistically makes in the range of 260-270 horsepower at a mile above sea level.
Guys, they are at a mile above sea level. Meaning that the air density is less than what we usually live around. That also means the car will lose power from the thin air density because the air can't suck in much air to produce more power.
I do have to say this though, I have a G37S, it's appalling for me to even see that number. Even so, I've never driven a G37xS, but from experience of owning a few AWD cars. I think the reason it ended up at 7.39 probably because it's AWD, and AWD are notoriously tricky to launch correctly. I know 2+ seconds is a lot, but it's probably correct because he might have started wrong, so it got bogged down and added the time.
As someone who has an 2013 Infiniti G37S Coupe, there's things off with your review. For one, the back seat isn't that bad. I have sit back there at 6ft 250 pounds, and I have friends who are similar height who sit back there just fine. At 5 8' - 5 9' it's completely comfortable. Also you can easily get a G37S for 44-45k, I'm 100% sure of it seeing as I got mine for 45K and that was fully loaded with every feature and navigation.
Please don't ever stop doing your videos just because some narcissist does not do his home work and complains about you not telling your viewers something they should already know. You do your reviews "mile high" if they miss that or don't know what that means. They are their own worst enemies when the write stupid comments about your reviews. Keep up the good work guys.
Thomas Rock Yup, this explains everything....A turbo at altitude > one mile above sea level) will always trump a normally aspired engine...and dont thing the goons at or for Audi didnt know that. Bitches!
Ok so I have a g37 sedan journey not sport. Just base model and min went 0-60 in 5.3 seconds. But I do have full bolt on mods so now it goes 0-60 in about 4.7 seconds.
Had a G37x and loved it. The Achilles heel was always the 7-speed automatic. Harsh low speed shifting, DS mode that wouldn't upshift to top gear after hard acceleration, etc. Maybe by the 2013 model they got the kinks worked out. The worst thing about it was that it would automatically downshift to 3rd or 4th gear under hard braking. Big distraction when your engine starts screaming as you are trying to avoid a collision.
Ik this is an old comment, but it seems you were not fully aware if the driving modes. 1st, if you were in DS then it only shifts for you if you haven't touched the paddles or the shifted by yourself after putting it into sport. Once you shift it's manual from there on. 2nd, if you didn't want it downshifting then don't drive in DS, that's the whole point it's more spirited driving. And you shouldn't have been upset at the car for downshifting, if it was hard braking then it actually helped you slow down, via engine braking. None of what you described sounds like kinks 😂
With a few bolt ons....Cat Back exhaust: Ark, Grip, Magnaflow, Motordyne, Fast Intentions etc. you can gain as much as 20 HP and about 15 TQ. Add to that 75mm Throttle bodies and CAI (Cold Air Intakes....maybe even a special Intake manifold and then dyno tune the car with either ECUTek or my favorite UPREV Osiris Tune II and you could get very close to double the HP of that Audi without voiding your warranty. Besides the Audi 2.0 is known for burning oil. Also to do the dyno tune you can remove the fuse for the front dif, that way the car acts like a rear wheel drive. The G37S Coupe and the Porsche 4S are the only 2 sports cars that I know of that start entirely as 100% rear drive. If you put the car in sport mode and turn off the electronic nanny (TCS) which is not fully off but mostly off....the car is fast. 0 - 60 or 1/4 mile. And it does it in style, comfort and safety. If the road is just a bit damp it will clean any Mustang, Camaro or Dodge....Those cars will be fishtailing while you get to next light. And let's face it....as a daily driver you have to be able to drive in any condition....safely. If you drop the car and change the tires and go with a staggered set-up the stance is amazing. It transforms the look. The tires that the car comes with are not very good and if you tint the windows, change to wider tires and aftermarket wheels, add front and rear stabilizer bars, the car will corner as if it's on rails. The G's were made to be modded.
You realize the accelerator on the G37 is the right peddle, right?

g37 wasn't properly shown in this video... not at all a chick car and definitely beats the A5
Oh, and I don't know how he got 7+ seconds in the g37.
I totally agree. I've seen very nice 09' or 10' A5s V6 under 30K miles under 30 grand
Watch the rings on the 3.2, do your oil change TOO soon and watch for a burning smell from the VCGaskets.
I already got rid of it. Too many people were telling me it would kick my ass with maintenance, past 60k miles. Traded it in on a low mileage, Acura TL SH-AWD. Love the Acura, and its more powerful too.
David Hakimi you change cars like you change
im surprised these two clowns didnt delete this video lmfao , give me that g37 over that audi any day of the week
To all the people hating on the Audi. It is hard to beat the instant torque of a properly tuned 4-cylinder turbo. A good example would be how the 2019 Wrangler 4popper turbo cuts a better 0to60 then the big 3.6 v6 vvt. And the 3.6 is rated for more power.
lol my '05 maxima does 0-60 faster than what you show here for the G37, and... my G37 SURE AS HELL does even better.
Tfl, the channel no one should ever watch if you’re looking for 0-60 times.
well it took me 7.39s to unsub and dislike.
lmao you butthurt infinity gay boy
NOFATCHICK1 aight have fun with your BBWs
along with the C6 and C7 Vetts, BOTH of these cars are beautiful . BUT I drove an A5 and it's slower than molasses. Give me the G, please.
Are you kidding me @Chris Chiang! The infinity is a mans car the Merc is and lexus is the ladies car!
I think Merc and Lex are for ladies and olders, too conservative.
Audi rocks
I went from white sexy G35 to blk sexy FX35 for more space. The sound of the exhaust alone gives me goose bumps of happiness. Don't care about performance, interior, MPGs, or design. All about the pipes.
A5 design is boring and did u hear the take off from 0-60. I didn't because I took a nap.
Love the reviews guys.
Infiniti All Da Way.....
i bought a 2007 audi s4 in 2008 and while its a great car performance wise, it gave me a lot of problems from a malfunctioning turning signal relay to holes in my power steering pump in a 2 years span. I learned my lesson for the future to buy an audi with an extended warranty. I now have a 2011 G37x and for the past year i owned it, it's fun to drive, nice engine note and very reliable. The most i replaced so far recently were the brakes and summer tires.
These OLD HEADS don't know what they're talking about.
8:23 fail but nice video ty soo much (: and yes audi the best
I agree with you
Couldn't disagree more with you about styling.
+Thomas Rock Audi is made by Volkswagen, which basically means it's trash. Infiniti is one of the most reliable luxury brand in the market today!
They A5 is better looking, the Infinity looks like a Nissan Altima.
The devil is in the detail. Not that there is anything wrong with Altima, but if you ever confused one with the other, perhaps you need an eye-exam?
MrDiogenes OfElmhurst I had an altima and I recognize an infinity G37 every time. What I meant is that if I were to spend over 50,000 on a car I, personally, wouldn't like it to look like a 20,000 economy coupe, I would like it to look premium like the A5.
I will concede that in today’s family of cars Audi looks more unique, but, that’s not to say that it’s a better car. I had Audis and Beemers before, now I own G37x, and let me tell you, I would be very reluctant to go back to Audi or Beemer based on appearance alone.
Marco Ibarra the a5 also looks like the a3
I love both coupes, they are without a doubt great cars regardles.
I would take the infiniti g37, but it is more feminine
I had both Infiniti G35 and a G37. Then I got an Audi a4 sline and that was the best car ever. So now bought my second Audi. I can go anywhere rain, snow, mud, dirt, hills Street.
I had a g37, moved to an Audi a4 a line b8.5 and I'm not gonna lie, the g37 was such a fun car. The Audi is very nimble though
@@Briansantiago11 brother remember it's only a 4 to go camping running everywhere in a car. G37 to the mountains I had to park it and get a tow truck. Go Frank Zappa....
What??? How a G37 is a girls car r u guys stupid ?? That's a monster bad ass car a damn bettle is damn chick car or a damn cruze but definitely NOT A G37 dammit!!!
G 37 isnt a girls car at all.
3 series is a girls car
FireBlade facts 325i is for shorties
You guys are alright, but you're heading the right path, it takes time to get picture perfect quality. I also agree, if people talk about quality, they should prove the passion they claim to have.
Audi looks ugly I tell you
Nice review, keep up the good work guys :)
i cant believe so much people are on here is defending a cheap ass Japanese car...Wow Infinities are cheap as shit and quick and fast are two different things...the problem is Nissan makes infiniti and Nissan makes Gtr so yall think just because Gtr's are excellent engineer cars that Nissan put that same engineering in there other cars...well they didnt!

I leased a beautiful red Q50 hybrid in October 2014. Infiniti should recall all of these cars until the defect is fixed. This car will kill someone.
Infiniti of Kirkland Used and Preowned Cars, your go-to spot for Infiniti as well as every other brand and your how-to source to spot if a car has been in an accident. We don't care who you buy from, we just want whatever it is you buy to be a car you love.
I would take the audi, not spending that money on an overpriced nissan.
Lexus Cohen i refuse to spend money on an overpriced volkswagen either
Yep love my g37
Andrew L quality comes first
Lexus Cohen by that logic isn't a lexus just "an overpriced" Toyota?
You know you can get a g37 for 10k right?
"I improvised" LOLOL Nathan FTW!
Audi all the way, forget JDM cheap cars.
Perhaps you should stopping making mean and uniformed comments when you don't seem to have a clue as to what altitude does to engine power...just sayin'
Marc thanks for your kind and thoughtful comments. They are very much appreciated. I'm glad the review was helpful.
Like how you guys oddly compare cars. Keep up the good work.
As a person who has owned both of these vehicles, the G37 will give you much more road feel and driver involvement, but the Audi will have more refinement and a quieter ride. Neither is "better", just a matter of pros & cons and what YOU are looking for.
Had an Audi A4 loved it for sure but this g37 coupe is different love it!!!
How come you got 0 to 60 7.4 secs on the G37? I get 5.5 sec on my stick shift G35 standard with just 307 hp..
Thanks for the ENTERTAINING & EDUCATING Review :D .... Fantastic Car Comparison, with honest opinion :-)
Hey Nathan -- did the G37 Coupe come with IPL package?
Read the description guys! One mile high which is 5,280 feet above sea level. Even my car felt slow at those altitudes.
How did your g37 do 7sec 0to60? You sure you drive g37 and not g25?
Did they say what time the g37 got 0-60? I didn't hear it.
7.36 seconds.
They said 7.36 but that's seriously wrong. It will do 5.5 on a bad day. They must not have been in sport mode.
They're over a mile above sea level.
Thea car can't suck in much air**
Tim Nguyen way to go to correct them then fuck up your own spelling in the process
Keep up the good work guys.
serious question, does elevation affect turbocharged cars less than they do naturally aspirated cars?
Thomas Rock Yup, this explains everything....A turbo at altitude > one mile above sea level) will always trump a normally aspired engine...and dont thing the goons at or for Audi didnt know that. Bitches!
Ok so I have a g37 sedan journey not sport. Just base model and min went 0-60 in 5.3 seconds. But I do have full bolt on mods so now it goes 0-60 in about 4.7 seconds.
Exactly fabulous wheels! That's the reason why I got this car..
We put "Mile High" into the title of the video. Please see above. How much more obvious can we be?
i keep on wondering why they always quote worse MPG figures in US reviews, until I remembered that a us gallon is less than an imperial gallon.
7.39 for the g37 speed test doesn't make sense, it should be around 5.2 to 5.5! What happened?
when nathan says " 51 and change i died "
You don't understand, turbocharged cars aren't affected by lack of air in the higher elevations than the N/A G.
the ipL g coupe also does it in 5 flat with a 6 cylinder engine. Your point being?
