Eletoenically ..i soent 5k one year just fixing random things and finally the AC went out a second time in summer abd i coulsnt drive my 6month old daughter to daycare. PS. My favorite personal downpipe is the arm one, it’s pretty affordable and sounds amazing. I went with the catless option but they obviously also offer an option with some cats 👀

Happy to see the new vdub content. I would highly recommend the IE DSG tune. You will get smaller farts but for the performance it’s worth it. I have a mk6.5 GLI and I currently have a stage 1 apr tune and IE dsg tune. Full tbe, cai, and miscellaneous other things. I am in the process of stage 2 IE tuning my ecu. Those little round things you got with the catback are usually to keep the straight pipe of the catback centered or more one way then the other for perfect fitment. I would recommend ecs tuning products as they work very well. I would like to personally see you do fbo on the GTi since that’s all I want to do with mine as it is my main daily.not really planing to do stage 3 unless my turbo dies haha GL with the future mods!

There’s an unused hangar on the subframe. Awe mufflers tend to sag, and it’s common to add a hanger by the muffler and tie it to the unused exhaust hook on the subframe. I had to do it on my track exhaust. Makes it so much more secure!
@@Smeedia Yeah, I never understood why! But if you peep the subframe, there’s just a hangar bar chillin, unused (mk5/6’s used to use them). The exhaust will sound amazing when you do the downpipe. Trussssst!
Make sure you do the turbo elbow when you do the down pipe, those two things are the biggest contributors to power for these cars. Also do the re-circulation valve for the sound

This makes me miss my 2015 Jetta SE TSI. I had an AEM intake, CTS Turbo turbo muffler delete, CTS downpipe, & AWE Track catback. I got it right after APR discontinued their Stage 2 & I was upset. Not only that, I totaled the car 2 months after I had those parts installed 💀💀💀
@Smeedia not a bad option, actually. What year is the car? Mine is a 19 and the wastegate doesn't work with 19+ cars otherwise i probably would have that turbo. Check out "GLI 35" here on YT. He has that turbo on his A3 quattro and that thing scoots. I think he ran a 10.9@125 on E40 (most ethanol IE allows with that setup). I'm sure he'd be down to answer any questions you'd have.
@Smeedia yeah you're completely reminding me of the research I did before. That IE setup is baller actually. Probably about as hard as you'd realistically like to push the EA888 without sacrificing reliability. I'm excited to see the build now. FYI a downpipe with that cutback will wake-up the dead. Downpipe with a stock catback is actually pretty solid recipe.
@Smeedia some more wisdom: don't waste your money on IC piping and stuff. Keep it simple. IC, intake/turbo inlet (which I think is part of that turbo setup), downpipe, upgrade HPFP...crank the boost and enjoy it. If that has the XDS differential it's prob a good time to change the fluid. Same with trans fluid.

These are like Subaru just lego, you can take parts from all different models and whack them in. The EA888 engine is pretty dam good in all its varients but please please don't put an AK47 crackle map on it.
Those "exhaust hangers" sure look like scrap u-bolts. Big ones are used on pickups with leaf springs. Small ones are sometimes used on exhaust kits. I'm not a fan of using u-bolts as hangers. It comes off as Jerry rigging. Not classy.
Gti’s are so resilient it’s great for us car enthusiasts to just swap out parts and drive off, had a Mk6 Gti on APR stage 2 and it’s very capable.
I’ve seen some of these things haul ass, now that Mel gave me the green light this thing will get turned up 🔥

If you plan on upgrading turbo, definitely look into the Vortex xl by EQT. GTI's can make easy power even just with bolt-ons.

The downpipe will drastically change the volume and the sound. You should go with EQT for the ECU and TCU tune!
