    • @simonmercier6733

      They are so close to the planet that there is a gravity well. Ships in Star Wars don't follow orbital mechanics, and it's really far from being hard sci-fi at all. The reasons why things float in space is because they fall constantly while always missing the things they orbit. So a ship that's getting disabled in Star Wars would plunge straight down to the planet since there is still attraction at these distances and the same applies to the blaster impact effects.

    • @richbob9155
      @richbob9155 2 роки тому +1

      Gravity is completely ignored in all Star Wars so it doesn't matter. If you try to explain any technology from Star wars it will just ruin it for you. For me I just accept that there are different laws of physics in that universe and it explains away anything that makes no sense.

    • @drfrankensteinscreations
      @drfrankensteinscreations 2 роки тому +1

      If it was the planet then they should be falling towards the planet. But if you watch, especially the first couple of hits (1:35) , they just fall down according to the cameras perspective. Then later ones the debris/sparks float away in straight paths like it/they should.

    • @Atlessa
      @Atlessa 2 роки тому +2

      @@richbob9155 Gravity isn't ignored in Star Wars. Orbital Mechanics are ignored in Star Wars. But that only applies if we assume that ships are in Orbit in the first place when they might in fact just be giant, high-altitude hovercraft /VTOLs. And if they are in fact just hovering over the planets we see them over that would indeed explain why they always plummet down so quickly (and with minimal to no heating effects) when damaged or destroyed.

Revan essentially started good went bad, got his memories wiped, went good then blasted off to the unknown regions to take on the evil sith empire (the real one, not the one he created). Got captured wakes up how many years later and takes on the evil sith emperor before giving his life in an effort to kill Emperor Vitiate (who’s end goal was the destruction of the universe?). Some of this I’m Iffy on given that the wake up BLANK years later took place in SWTOR dlc. Then we look at a millennia later, with the real sith in hiding yet again, a powerful Jedi knight turning to the dark side, being an evil sith for awhile before with their dying breath killing the sith master. Meanwhile over at Disney, with their sequel trilogy, the force awakens was a call back to the OG trilogy nothing more, then you have the last Jedi fiasco, which involved stupid decisions, not making any sense whatsoever, and a throne room fight scene with blatantly disappearing weapons that should’ve killed the main characters. The there’s the rise of reywalker which was really fricken dumb despite pulling some force powers from legends into canon it still was filled with dumb moments like palpating announcing to the galaxy that he had an army of Death Stars at the very beginning of the movie. Palpating was cunning not stupid, all throughout prequel, original, and legends, then we have dumb Disney palpatine. Kotor brought in original characters that had a similar setup to the prequel and original trilogy characters, but original nonetheless, everything from Bastila to Malik to Meetra surik (canon kotor 2 character) to the mess that was SWTOR was at least original and not a rip off, and it didn’t insult the franchise is what they’re pointing out. Also he was quoting George Lucas. Who said ‘it’s like poetry it rhymes’ in reference to the prequel and original trilogy.

    constructive criticism: the scale of the "Taris Distant City" seems very off to me. if looking down on the planet itself it seems like either the planet is tiny, or the buildings are MASSIVE because of that distant curvature

    Astounding! Absolutely astounding!
    1 minor quip though: That last explosion shouldn't have a heat bloom effect on it. It gives more impact but heat bloom requires an atmosphere.
    And perhaps blue for the front windows as opposed to yellow? Idk, the yellow at that angle makes the ships seem sinister to me. But that one's based in opinion.

    • @spacejesus6581
      @spacejesus6581 3 роки тому +1

      Physics should go out the window when it comes to cinematic appeal, is a heat bloom that big of a deal when it makes it more epic? If we made it more realistic the entire battle would be on mute, that's better for horror movies than actual combat

    • @Centurian128
      @Centurian128 3 роки тому +1

      @@spacejesus6581 Does the heat bloom make it more epic or does the heat bloom distract from the scene? That's all that matters in this case and ultimately the decision is not up to me, but I would appreciate if you didn't twist what I said and put words into my mouth that were never there.
