Hero for Hire #1 is a book im after for 2025. Marvel Spotlight #5 and TOD #10 are books im looking to get additional copies. And im always looking for early Batman/Detective Comics and early Superman/Action Comics. Golden age to early silver on these books. And anything from the Golden Age that has a cool cover that's within my price range. There are some great cover art in western comics from the golden age that are pretty inexpensive.
ASM 50 spiking with a note on why someone would choose to get back in to collecting Kingpin/other significant silver age keys... I'm wondering how the "lesser" keys related to Kingpin are doing. I've got a copy of ASM 60 (imo, feeling lucky I've got what is possibly one of the best early Kingpin covers... Admittedly, having a flaw in the top left corner, but the spine devoid of tics, and the main image presenting fantastically) and I'm considering getting it graded. Not sure I can afford to do even that, lol, but to help make the decision, it sure would be awesome to get some opinions regarding Kingpin's other early appearances/taking place in the same era.
For the past year, aside from new issues, my collecting focus has been on more obscure genres from late Golden/early Silver Age (1948-60) DCs and Atlas. Funny animal, romance and especially westerns. I’m much more excited to add issues like All-Star Western and Peter Porkchops to my large collection than anything mainstream. However, I do like watching top 10 lists (perhaps for suggestions on what to sell to make money to add vintage comics to the collection).
I have recently been getting back into collecting since last December. Your guys’ videos are amazing and incredibly helpful! I was out hunting at local shops today and managed to find a fantastic looking copy of Omega Men #3 that they were selling sub $100. Because of your insights, I ended up grabbing it. Thanks for all that you guys do for the community!
Small request. When you show the key cover on screen, could you accompany it with a good size text of the title and issue #? My old eyes can't always read the issue # and i find myself rewinding the video to try to catch the quick mention of it. Love the content!
Picked up an Omega Men #20, the first partial origin story on Lobo for $1 a few weeks ago. It was a fantastic read. Anticipating to see what that book will do, if anything.
Really am loving the new census figures display on screen. Also, love to see the Warlock and first Phoenix. You have two book that are near to my heart. ❤ warlock is my favorite. While Phoenix is my daughter’s name.
My current specs = Lobo's Big Babe Spring Break Special and Fantastic Four #369 but.. I did also grab Omega Men #2, #4, #5, and #6 to go along with the #3 I already have.
I am keeping an eye on Legends #1 because of the first appearance of Amanda Waller and Brimstone. There's a Waller series coming to Max soon after the new Superman film. Also Saga of the Swamp Thing #20 because we haven't seen Swampy since the DCUtv app show was cancelled and this is Alan Moore's first issue of it.
I think it's a great idea to have an additional to complementary books to talk about. It fits good because books like gambit hit number 7 or something for three months straight, It would feel like a bonus.
I myself have bought 3 copies of Star Wars #1 in the last 6 months. I've picked up a CGC 9.0, 9.2 and 9.4. I've only bought these because it's my favorite comic book of all time and ingrained in my childhood memories. First movie I ever saw was Star Wars when I was 5 at a drive-in theater. Maybe people are buying simply for the love of Star Wars
great video as always! Im avoiding any movie related key comic, i feel the world is sick and tired of these movies and will just dip later. Buy before the hype!
Great post as always. The number 2 book, ASM # 300. I'll attest to the rough cut cover as I have one and I'm sure that's why my book came back a 9.6 from CGC.
The book to be buying is not sub-mariner 1. The im-sm 1 is a much more undervalued book and a better cover. When they meet in a movie this book skyrockets 🚀
They probably don’t have many copies so they are acting like they don’t know why. Either that or they want to buy comics low that are connected with Marvel Rivals so they don’t mention it so there’s less competition for them.
Before submitting books for grading for my first time ever, I have some books that could use pressing. Ya'll recommend vendors that can do a great job?
When Star Wars lovers and comic books collide, the real insane collectors show up. Why so surprised? Star Wars ain’t goin anywhere man, Whether you love it or hate it.
The earliest U.K. issue of Star Wars that we've documented at the Grand Comics Database is #2 (12p or 0.12 GBP). If you've seen a #1 pence variant, please let me know where we can see a copy.
If you stated regularly how many total copies were sold for each of the top 10 - how many outsold the average - AND how many wen under the average - and whether, OVERALL, the average increased in value or decreased in value..............Just saying............You know.........Geek responsibly. Enough said.
I had a chance to get the Invincible Iron Man #1 years ago for $100 but I passed and I got ASM 129 for the same price. I still want the Iron Man but I love my ASM.
Wasn't Roderick Kingsley supposed to be the hogoblin and marvel did a little reconning to get back to that and if they did shouldn't that make spectacular Spider-Man #43 a key? Also why does Lobo look like a cross between Alan Moore and rod zombie ???......
I know this won't be popular but could you maybe add the raw price for a certain grade as well. I don't have many slabs and won't have my collection of Silver Age comics graded until I'm too old to enjoy them. Truth be told I see all this grading craze as an investor only market. I guess I'm just an old foggy who thinks if you can't read it, you can't enjoy it.
Never cared for omega men. I first saw Lobo from his #1 Solo drawn by Bisley and that was It!! That will Always be my favorite Fragin Lobo book! Don't forget Paul Rudd also Slaps the Bass😂
Again, Submariner #1 has a great cover but isnt that character's 1st silver-age series. Tales to Astonish #70 is. Stan Lee says it right on the cover. One of these books is vastly under-valued.
Dude those characters did not do well on screen that’s why you don’t see them. Don’t be naive the MSHEU failed and the movies have been shit since endgame
Spidey's webbing pattern on the back of his head is the wrong way round on the cover of ASM #50. That should reduce the value of the book; enough so that I can buy it, at least.
Okay who puts this top 10 out there? The people who buy comics correct the community the comic community for the past 10 years the comic community have shown you that they love this comic book I'm not even going to say what comic book it is to make my point why You two keep throwing so much shade at this comic book it's been popular forever not even the books you guys want the community to love pop up at all so are you for the community or to your own personal liking (oh heritage the promise collection diamond) dude 😂
No the new characters diseny marvel brought to the screen. Have not done good. Due to making things to off the narrative of the character or comic the fans are not wanting more of them. That's why we get no new adventures with these characters no bout gender and sex
Join me this Saturday (1/25) for my Spider-Man Key giveaway stream starting at 10am PST! (1pm EST) LIVE on whatnot!

Buying silver age has been my new focus for 2025
Very smart my friend
Pay for it in gold.
That certain market segment proclaimed dead by a german convention dealer... 30 years ago here! Left him with a silent smile.
The Namor bump is Rivals

I'd be picking them up. Not many can afford asm 50.
@stormshadowctf Werd. Thank you for your feedback.

Listen to the audio?
I think people crave vintage Star Wars because the new content isn't scratching that itch.
I bought a CGC 3.5 of Marvel Spotlight 5 for $625 last month.
Picked up an Omega Men #20, the first partial origin story on Lobo for $1 a few weeks ago. It was a fantastic read. Anticipating to see what that book will do, if anything.
If you stick around as a collector, you can have all of these. Patience is the way to go.
Really am loving the new census figures display on screen. Also, love to see the Warlock and first Phoenix. You have two book that are near to my heart. ❤ warlock is my favorite. While Phoenix is my daughter’s name.
Skeleton crew is by far the best Star Wars TV/Movie in decades!!!
My current specs = Lobo's Big Babe Spring Break Special and Fantastic Four #369 but.. I did also grab Omega Men #2, #4, #5, and #6 to go along with the #3 I already have.

Yea we are definitely thinking about some bonus picks
I love how what not is still a thing, but eBay is tried and true as the standard for prices.
The only Ratatata worth talking about is Baby Metal and Electric Callboy
Please add a barcode reader to the app 😞
How do Lobo's other early appearances do in auctions?
Omega Men was so original at the time.
I myself have bought 3 copies of Star Wars #1 in the last 6 months. I've picked up a CGC 9.0, 9.2 and 9.4. My spec is ASM 194.
1st Black Cat
Excellent as always. ASM 238 is now on my radar :)
Great post as always. The number 2 book, ASM # 300. I'll attest to the rough cut cover as I have one and I'm sure that's why my book came back a 9.6 from CGC.
Fantasy Quarterly 1 is my +1 because ElfQuest is going to blow up one day
When you know you know 😎
There has been talk of an Elfquest movie for so long now. The tech exists for a beautiful CGI motion-capture comic-faithful adaptation.
Been collecting all things lobo since 1989. About fraggin time.
The book to be buying is not sub-mariner 1. The im-sm 1 is a much more undervalued book and a better cover. When they meet in a movie this book skyrockets 🚀
Dont see iron man coming back anytime soon
I told you secret wars 8 was the wrong book to buy and now 252 is moving up the list like I said 😂
Plus two is a good idea !
You guys must not be gamers - Namor is in Marvel Rivals. Maybe thats why people are picking that book up?
They probably don’t have many copies so they are acting like they don’t know why.
Either that or they want to buy comics low that are connected with Marvel Rivals so they don’t mention it so there’s less competition for them.
I know that the Star Wars 1 35 cent variant is on the charts but I would like to hear what you have to say about it.
Before submitting books for grading for my first time ever, I have some books that could use pressing. Ya'll recommend vendors that can do a great job?
How could you not enjoy skeleton crew? It was simple star wars fun, the kid actors did a good job and it was just an all around enjoyable show.
I just purchased a 5.0 amazing spider-man 50 off of comic connect for $452. The prices you show just don't add up. It's going down, not up.
That’s a steal for a 5.0. Sales this year so far on gpa in that grade are as followed.
- $779, $720, $725 & $710
Last 4.5 sold for $525
So do people buy old vinyl records that have been slabbbed?
they have to... HAVE to play Mamoa's Lobo as an absolute badass 100%
I got my copy of omega men signed by cover artist at Rhode Island comic con . I'm so happy. Love lobo
I'm just going to be happy that I have 8 of the top 10 plus ASM 238. I'm really after Marvel bronze mega keys that I don't have TOD #10 and WBN #32
I’ve always thought it was hilarious that Key Collector has their watermark on the comics. As if you created them…
Sweet digs Tom
When Star Wars lovers and comic books collide, the real insane collectors show up. Why so surprised? Star Wars ain’t goin anywhere man, Whether you love it or hate it.
whats the pence version of star wars 1 worth you never show this as a collectable issue
The earliest U.K. issue of Star Wars that we've documented at the Grand Comics Database is #2 (12p or 0.12 GBP). If you've seen a #1 pence variant, please let me know where we can see a copy.

These are characters that did pretty well on the screen? @2:19 Not sure any of these mentioned knocked it out of the park cinematically.
Marvel Spotlight 5 - 1st comic book I bought for cover.
A++! Awesomeness video, friends!!
"These characters did well on the big screen..."
Bruh, what planet are you living on?
Looking back on it , she hulk was fun ! And different … please come back !
I know this won't be popular but could you maybe add the raw price for a certain grade as well. Popular or not it's a fantastic/no brainier idea. Lower baseline price opportunities for sales only increases book movement/sale activities.
I wish james gunn was still involved with theMCU we could of had sleepwalker or the the puppet master
I have 7 of these in high grade!
Never cared for omega men. I first saw Lobo from his #1 Solo drawn by Bisley and that was It!! That will Always be my favorite Fragin Lobo book! Don't forget Paul Rudd also Slaps the Bass😂
Do these guys realize many of these shows and movies of late have tanked badly? That’s why the subsequent comics were also down
We need at least one guy with testosterone on the show. I swear this has gone drip
Okay the community has shown I think I can comfortably say that the most spec book of all time is amazing Spider-Man 300 the data is there you guys
8 out of 10🙏
I’m gutted they are making a lobo film
Again, Submariner #1 has a great cover but isnt that character's 1st silver-age series. Tales to Astonish #70 is. Stan Lee says it right on the cover. One of these books is vastly under-valued.
I want a bad ass ghost rider movie so bad I have the first appearance of him
I want ketch.
Disney Star Wars sucks, but the comic should always be in high demand. It’s approaching a fifty year birthday.
I read that first appearance a Lobo comic it sucked so I'll be selling my copy
You guys are spiderman and mcfarland biased. Why cant people just be buying star wars cause they love star wars?
Where are Luke Cage and Iron Fist
Who ? 😊..
I just don't think the big movie/show backstop behind Marvel means much anymore. Most of it is just bad and disappointing content, not worth the spec.
Daredevil is going to be great
Dude those characters did not do well on screen that’s why you don’t see them. Don’t be naive the MSHEU failed and the movies have been shit since endgame
Lol msheu
50% 😅
Spidey's webbing pattern on the back of his head is the wrong way round on the cover of ASM #50. That should reduce the value of the book; enough so that I can buy it, at least.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Money laundering.
tom do you pay any income tax , comics are a bad investment , it a con there millions of comic , junk
America Chavez was an awful actor
Skeleton Crew was very enjoyable.
Crap
Show sucks !!!!!!!!!!! CGC financed
All these books listed are overrated
Looking back on it , she hulk was fun ! And different … please come back !
