Great video. Just tell Management that you need a radio as a safety device. Radio stations put out warnings for dangerous weather approaching. When seconds count you can’t rely on management contacting you via cell phone. I drive a Peterbilt Heil roll off with power windows. Praying that my motors stay dry and working for many years.
I wish they would listen to reasoning such as that, but it will go in one ear and out the other. Very good point though, sadly it's a municipal operation so you know how that goes. I personally have not heard any issues with the window motors on any of the roll offs. The county runs a few newer Pete tractors, and they seem to be holding up. Just appears to be the front end cabovers that keep having that issue.
I have a job interview with a waste company monday. Iv neen driving dumptruck and sidedump for the last 5 years. This job looks amazing. I hope I get on.
See I don't know why the newer trucks shut down automatically without any warning!! Probably McNeilus knows why but probably hard to explain!! Like I said I'm not a big fan of Pete's I whether have the newer Macks than the Pete 520s!! Cool video man!! Nice to see this truck in action again!!
Yeah, I know between the two, either Peterbilt or McNeilus had to know what caused it. But, no problems since that day. I'll always be a Mack man through and through, but I do respect these 520's. Decent truck overall, I can't complain about her.
Wassup man . Same shit up here in philly . I couldn’t Finish my rt due to 25 degree weather that felt like 5 degrees weather because of my air tank freezing up . Every time I hit the brakes it would drop down from 120 psi to 40 psi . 🤦🏽♂️
@@jeazy6615 yep, Brian is right, in seriously cold weather you may have to drain your tanks a few times a day, or, your maintenance guys could put alcohol in the lines through the air dryer. That was a trick the county used to use in the past.
Great video as always man. I drive an '06 Mack MR as my daily with the Heil Half Pack, I love it. The vets at work dog on that truck but it has less downtime than alot of our brand new Autocars. I left a comment on one of your videos a month or so ago, I started making my own videos under FrontloadJoe. Unfortunately, my employer found out about it. Even tho there wasn't anything in any of the videos that would make them look bad, they gave me the liability talk so I had to take it down. If you never saw them, I'd love to show you them somehow. You're def a big inspiration and I appreciate what you do. Let me know, keep it up with the videos and be safe brother -
I saw an earlier comment from you, and tried to reply, but it disappeared from my feed somehow. Yep, I totally agree, nothing against those who prefer the new trucks, but give me an older MR and I'm happier than a pig in slop lol. I'd love to see your videos, sorry to hear about your employer having you take them down. That's happened to a few drivers that I know as well. If anything, it's free marketing for their company. You stay safe as well and thank you for reaching out again😎

No, just the one that is stationed at the central transfer station. Some of the other public works departments such as Parks and Recreation, Watershed Management and Roads and Drainage all have fleets of dump trucks. Sanitation does not.
+ThaThunderStorm Dejuan Can....I see four dumpsters that have loose diapers in them weekly? I want to watch them being packed as though I.....were in the load wearing just my diaper!!! Can....you do that?
I'll see what I can do. I only have one. It is serviced Monday through Saturday with two 4yd dumpsters. The only thing, I have to service it early before the day shift employees arrive. They love to park on the pad in front of the cans.
Have followed your videos for a while now and have bin fascinated with garbage trucks since i was a little kid. What does the term banging a dumpster mean as i have herd the term used before? Thanks for answering. -Aaron
Most companies try to keep it around 12 or less to stay off of the DOT's radar. But there are some that will push it to the max and over until they get caught.
@@jordanbass9167 I don't work for them anymore brother. I'm an owner-operator now. The county did offer both paid annual and sick leave, which was a plus over the private sector.

I’m sure you get this question a lot. But what mount do you use for your GoPro?
I made you a short video today. I use a GoPro suction cup mount that I bought from Best Buy a couple years ago.
ThaThunderStorm Thanks so much man. Really appreciate it.
Let me in one of those....8-10 yard dumpsters full of diapers!!!!

ALL STABS!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
Do you have any super long push outs?
Unfortunately no, the county requires that the customer bring out their own roll outs to prevent possible injuries to the drivers.
Cool great video man
Thank you kindly🤓
No problem man
Make more in cab videos like these
Will do😎
Damn was that first place done daily?
+ThaThunderStorm So......anyrhing that falls to the ground is.....not your concern????? Interesting
Yep, county policy, especially if it's because of the customer overloading the cans, or, as with here, negligence.
Is there a scale on your rig?
No, the county is too cheap lol
6 or 8 wheeler?
A bug in the electrical system where water shorts it out! Lol get theirs up......sounds like a VIAGRA problem!!! Buahahahahaha!!! +ThaThunderStorm

+ThaThunderStorm WHO sees the hopper cam???? Can .....the people working in the office look at it remotely?????
