Even if goku is weaker and slower, the problem with dragon ball characters since super is that they’ll grow an insane amount in minutes. Goku went from fodder to smacking on jiren in less than an hour. Broly went from untrained brute to fighting blue gogeta.
those are excpetions from the avg tho, broley has the best potential for growth of all time, and goku needed to eat his own spirit bomb to compete with jiren

There is a very critical misunderstanding in Cell's analyses. Power levels do not exactly correlate by how much they multiplied. For example Master Roshi had 135 of power level and he was able to destroy moon. BUT, when raditz come to earth he readed a normal mans power level as 5. So that guy with only a gun can destroy even a area 50 times smaller than the moon? İt will make thousands of kilometers square. And we know he cant do that. The same thing is true for most of the characters . İts very inconsistent

Yes, power levels do not scale linearly. You can think of power levels as analogous to the Fahrenheit/Celsius temperature scales. For example, 100 degrees Fahrenheit is not "twice as hot" as 50 degrees, but we do know that 100 is "much hotter" than 50.
I agree, I see too many db powerscalers rely too heavily on power levels rather than regular scaling, feats and calcs. Especially when comparing db to other series without power levels, it makes things inconsistent. While I do agree the Z fighters would win, the argument would sound cleaner without power levels.
DB uses Ki, Ki is life energy, the only reason characters get higher power is by mastering and training their Ki. A human may have a power level of 5, but even though they aren't far from moon busting levels, they have no knowledge of Ki or have the potential to train enough to harness it. Look at Videl for example.
The real problem with DB scaling is that they have magic laser attacks that can destroy planets, which throws off everything else. Take Roshi blowing up the moon. Goku at the beginning of Z was way stronger, yet he was barely able to move under 10 times gravity at first. Darkshine meanwhile is able to tank 15 times gravity. That clearly implies Darkshine has much greater physical strength than Goku, but nobody thinks Darkshine can blow up a moon, let alone a planet. There’s also Tatsumaki tanking 300G, which nearly killed Yamcha after Namek when he tried to see what Vegeta’s training was like. Yet DB fans insist Yamcha would beat Saitama.

They're exponential in Original DB, cuz you'll have characters get stated to get several times stronger, only for their PL to change slightly. In universe explanation could just be them starting to tap into their Ki better, or something, seeing as how normal humans have a PL of 5 but can't use Ki.
One of my biggest issues with dragonball scaling is power levels were never made to be taken seriously and if these characters were actually as strong and fast as these calcs put them at then why did Goku take an hour to travel Snake way and why did he consider 40 tons of weight extremely heavy?
I think power levels are directly tied to ki. The more you amp yourself with ki the stronger your AP, striking strength, speed, and durability become. When characters who can literally shatter celestial bodies are also sweating and being affected by a few tons and even by increased gravity, I think that’s because the weight is directly applied to their body past the ki amplification. Goku can move his roughly 200 pound (90 kg) body at speeds massively faster than light, but with weights on I believe that most of that weight is applied directly to his own past the ki amps until he can adapt to it. Meaning that when he puts on 40 tons of weights, he himself is directly 40 tons heavier with his ki unable to help him until he adapts, making him 400 times heavier and slower, which would make you pretty tired pretty fast if you can survive it.

You do realize that this is very consistent. The dragon ball afterlife is the same distance across as our universe. Of course it would take Goku a while to cross it. The 40 ton weight is just a one off mistake by the author
Goku’s flight speed is not as impressive as his combat speed. In the video most of the feats we mentioned for Goku are him dodging, or dashing out of the way of attacks, not him running super fast. And Goku lifting 40 tons could just be him training without ki to strengthen his physical body
This comes down to PURPOSE. DBZ uses flying to destinations as a chance to give exposition/build tension while most fiction just wants to get from point A to Point B to get back to the story No one notices that DBZ has the OPPOSITE problem with every other show. Characters are SHOWN moving faster than lightspeeds IN COMBAT and SHORT BURSTS only but travel much slower than they should. Every other fictional story has characters travel faster than light but they get punched by regular people and REGULAR PEOPLE CAN SEE THEIR FIGHTS so they can't actually be moving that fast
I feel like the way Boros invading the DB Earth would go if written in a story would go about this way: Boros defeats the other z fighters but has a very competitive fight with Goku. Goku uses the Kaioken to gain an advantage and Boros recognizes this as similar to his meteoric burst. He then uses meteoric burst and briefly gets an advantage of his own until Goku ups the level of his Kaioken. Backed into a corner Boros uses Collapsing Star Roaring Cannon while Goku counters with a Kamehameha. The beam struggle is won after Goku ups his Kaioken a final time and the Kamehameha obliterates Boros. Basically it goes the same way as the Vegeta fight except the beam struggle is the finale.
Pre Watch opinion- Manga Boros is Multi Continental with his peak power being surface wiping Earth and his speed being Relativistic + to low into FTL (scaling under the geometric light structure) Anime Boros has the Planet level scaling but the same speed Z fighters in the manga range from Moon level to Planet level (Goku) and Rel + to FTL Anime Z fighters just stomp
Tbh if that moon breaking energy from piccolo got tanked by Radditz why was there no large explosion. Honestly the Dragon Ball Scaling is inconsistent and very off. Krillin could’nt beat a continent if he tried. Scaling in DBZ is kind of weird.

Boros' only saving grace might be his crazy regen. Will Goku be able to put anything equivalent to a Serious Punch on the table? Even if he can, and I'm dubious, but even if he can, Boros can still come back from that once or twice. Classic villain "you thought I died but I didn't really." Boros might win by tiring them all out.
Planets in Dragon Ball are basically big bombs. If enough energy is used to set off the core then the whole thing blows itself to pieces. It seems kind of silly to say that because a Dragon Ball character's energy attack could make a planet blow itself up, then it means all of their strikes and anything that remotely hurts them are planet or star busting.

Its stated in DBZ that a power level of 10,000 can destroy a planet. Also in DBZ, earth is seen as a small planet, so even a power level of a couple thousand could probably destroy earth.

I feel scaling dragonball characters is weird since it doesn’t make much sense especially since power levels are literally designed to not make sense. The anime buffs the characters a lot by showing characters do things that don’t make sense in the context of other scenes such as showing the other Sayians being afraid of the Death Ball when if they all worked together they would have overpowered it. It is also weird saying the Z fighters would best Boros if he is a planet buster since he has regeneration greater than most characters in dragon ball. Boros also can negate durability by attacking the organs with his beams something the Z fighters cannot deal with. Also as shown by super Boros being faster would just allow him to unironicly one shot all of them.
Boros isn't faster. Boros's durability is pretty shit considering what dealt significant damage to him is a lot weaker than even casual ki blast from the z fighters. And ki would completely wipe out boros so if he gets hit by a big blast his regeneration wouldn't matter, not to mention it's also limited to.
Saying Krillin is small star level because you compare of a non canon feat to a canon feat because of the usage of fingers is crazy. Even if both feats are canon it would be pretty reasonable to assume he was holding back
Also the 10,000 planetary is most likely referring to large planets since earth is considered small so would refer to destroying thing such as Jupiter which is more consistent

I feel like people really underestimate Boros healing factor, he would be able to as he said in the Saitama fight, keep healing, even if hes weaker he can just outlast them, even if they have Senzu beans, those are finite, Boros can keep healing over and over
You can't last longer if you're being vaporized, hell we saw that the more you regenerate the more tired you get, since him Regeneration It is based on using energy to Heal and the more you heal, the more tired you become, so going the regeneration route does not work here.
Okay but I can't be the only one listening to this and find the Dragonball scaling to be extremely weird, and inconsistent right? Like you fully need a power level of 10k to destroy a planet, but Piccolo with 329 can destroy the moon, and that gets calculated to be small planet level? For the record I fully believe Sayian Saga Goku would beat Boros, and I kinda wanna see this vs because I just think it would be an extremely fun, and thematic fight.
One thing people dont realize is, Boros's durability is kind of trash, it doesn't actually scale to his damage output. The attacks from saitama that did heavy damage would be significantly lower than attacks the z-fighters by this time were regularly taking and delivering. Some of their more casual ki attacks would still completely vaporize boros. if piccolo pulls up and does the same ki blast that vaporized the moon (though at this point it'd be much stronger.) Boros would die the second he's hit by it. And if the Z-fighters decide to start using their stronger moves, his regeneration won't really matter. We don't even need to get Goku involved.
That's just headcannon why do you assume Boros has bad durability if the only durability scaling he has is from Saitama and his punching strength is inconsistent

Boros wincons are vaporizing them with the heat of his blasts (if they don't use ki barriers) or BFR with moon kick, which he can pull off since he has better speed scaling than most Z fighters, he would need to start with Meteoric Burst tho, so this Is assuming he's in MB already
Dragon Ball characters always have their defense up when they fight, so in the heat it is useless and the BFR to the moon is impossible,Since not only are they much stronger than him, but they can avoid him by flying or stop themselves as they have done many times.

Yeah they stop him easily. They can only lose if you give Boros high end scaling and argue that he's Star level which is translation based. Z fighters have also higher high ends than Star level so even then Z Fighters>
yeah no, I'd struggle to imagine any of the Z-fighters being planet level, let alone Star level in the Namek saga. Power Levels aren't really linear, Roshi can destroy the moon with a PL of 135 while a regular man Raditz happens upon has a PL of 5. Moon-Large Moon is very consistent scaling for them, but Boros's planet-star level statements puts him way above them.

Mostly Vegete at his extreme, and in the anime we see Vegeta and Nappa breathing in space, which is explicitly contradicted later in the anime when goku has to find a space pod to survive namek's destruction. Besides, we don't even know how big Aria and those planets were. Planetary Boros has guide statements that support planetary levels.

If picolo destroyed a moon without being at full power at power level of 300 somethin and when chiatzou scarificed himself having more power level than picolo at that time than chiatzou might have atleast blow up an continental area but he does here contradicts the theory. Low balled boros vs z fighters boros gets one shot. Mid-high balled versions of them boros still has worse stats but could give them trouble due to his insane regen but would lose due to his lack of stamina in his burst form.
Goku can dodge, reacted to, and FIGHT, at faster than light speeds. That doesn’t mean he can fly that fast. Move your hand as fast as you can in front of you face, I highly doubt you also run fast enough to make afterimages

That's a little too broken, I know that ki will cancel out her hax used on them, but she would be stacking all of the powers, abilities, and hax of both her verse and the DB verse, including the Androids, and other races.

Power levels are kinda dumb in DBZ, and the moon thing irks me since everyone brings it up. High power level isn’t a great metric Power Lv 970 Yajirobe cut off 180,000 oozaru Vegeta’s tail Power Lv 180,000,000 Super Saiyan Goku was hurt by a rock lightly thrown by 750,000 Krillin. To try to remedy this Goku say he wasn’t ready. Based on that surprise attacks mean instant death, why does no one ever use this? Especially considering characters like Frieza can’t sense energy, or for that matter sayain saga Vegeta couldn’t sense energy either. As far as Piccolo blowing up the (second) moon post Raddits fight Piccolo has about 300+ and blows up the moon in about a second, In og dragon ball Roshi blew up the moon first and he had about 320-ish in hulk form. Moon somehow exists again. Also the moon is restored or regenerated it’s mass between the Namek arc and Goku returning to earth as it shows up in ep118 in the show and chapter 329 in the manga. The moon in dbz is kinda silly or a cosmic horror. Everyone above power level 300 is a moon buster, Chaosu’s 620 should be well beyond moon buster. Why doesn’t 18,000 Vegeta (just under 60x more powerful than moon buster Piccolo) just use a basic blast spam to blow up the earth? For that matter why did base Freeza (power level 530,000, almost 1767 times more powerful than moon beam Piccolo) need to charge anything to blow up planet Vegeta? If we just take ‘moon explode’ at face value the speed of basic ki blasts is FTL and everyone who has ever dodged a basic ki blast from a fighter above 300 power level is so stupidly beyond FTL to such a ridiculous extent or we have to admit that piccolo shooting FTL beams at Power Level 300+ is silly. Honestly I don’t think the show wants to hold on Piccolo waiting for a long time for the moon to explode. If power Lvl 300+ Piccolo shoots FTL basic ki blast, and then RADDITS DODGES FTL. Everything falls apart horribly if we take the moon exploding seriously at face value. How much faster does power level 12 billion SS3 Goku blasts go vs 300 Piccolo’s moon explosion basic ki blast? Power level either give exponential less power with higher numbers or give insane differences but also barely increase attack impact somehow. Otherwise why is 300 moon busting (1/4 size of earth approximately) but 60x time higher or even 1767x higher barely planet busters. Napa alone should be a world ending Godzilla planet buster at 11x higher power level. If SSG Goku (first time he went ssg) sneezes can he obliterate the earth with his low ball 1.4 quadrillion, 4,666,666,666,667x times greater than instant moon destroyer Piccolo? Does resurrection F SSGB Goku’s breathing shatter universes as he is 25,000,000,000,000,000x more ridiculous than blink and the moon’s gone Piccolo? Does UI Goku’s first appearance flicking the air implode all of existence (5 Sextillion or 16,666,666,666,666,666,666x more than bye bye moon Piccolo)? Tbf I think they just didn’t want to have the moon on earth because 40,000 Napa and 180,000 Vegeta wipes everyone out instantly so they just had someone remove the moon. High balling Piccolo’s moon blast as large planet kind of falls flat for me considering Freeza using a charged blast at 70% of his power couldn’t even instantly destroy Namek. Unless you want to argue that Namek is millions of times harder to destroy than the sun. The fact is, you have to consider that Toriyama probably literally thinks the moon is made of cheese. He made Cell brag about being able to destroy the solar system, but the sun is 99.98% the mass of the solar system, so it’s not that impressive by sheer numbers compared to earlier DBZ.
It’s all but stated that Freeza subconsciously held himself back from destroying namek, because he was genuinely curious if he could defeat Goku at full power, to prove he’s the strongest in the universe. Freeza himself said he held back too much and could have instantly destroyed the planet, and we’ve seen him in his weakest form, blow up planets with a finger.

The anime messed up ONE's power-scale by having Tatsumaki pull down a meteor which she was just supposed to hurl a rock that would look like a meteor. It also includes other questionable anime-only feats such as gravity waves for Geryuganshoop. It does not seem like smaller Battle Powers scale linearly until they reach the thousands given if a few hundred can destroy the Moon, Goku should be able to destroy mountains at the start of the series, yet he does not even crumple a car, which would also bring into question the supposed early light feats before Raditz. Likewise, Popo was teaching Goku to dodge lightning before fighting Majunior, which may suggest they were only light-speed after that. The actual destruction of the Moon is not seen in the manga as it is shown flashing when the attack hits, then it is missing in the next panel, so exactly calculating its force therein is dubious. Piccolo is also very impressed by a large gash made in the Earth by Nappa, suggesting he and the rest of the Dragon Team are not full planet-level yet (as otherwise he could do the same). Even still, outside of the anime, it seems like Boros only reaches planet-level at full power, so considering he has to go through the entire Dragon Team including Goku, I imagine he would be defeated.
Boros would be a damn good Dragonball villain, imagine him and Goku just going back and forth.

There is a very critical misunderstanding in Cell's analyses. Power levels do not exactly correlate by how much they multiplied. For example Master Roshi had 135 of power level and he was able to destroy moon. BUT, when raditz come to earth he readed a normal mans power level as 5. So that guy with only a gun can destroy even a area 50 times smaller than the moon? İt will make thousands of kilometers square. And we know he cant do that. The same thing is true for most of the characters . İts very inconsistent

Honestly every time I see someone try and scale dragon ball I get kind of annoyed especially since the first character to be confirmed faster than light in the story is dispo from super. Original dragon ball is a comedy but if someone tries to scale it they need to ignore that a Goku who can lift and throw cars finds 20kg extremely heavy. Heck even in Z Goku can barely lift 40 tons but is meant to be a galaxy buster.
Yes, power levels do not scale linearly. You can think of power levels as analogous to the Fahrenheit/Celsius temperature scales.
For example, 100 degrees Fahrenheit is not "twice as hot" as 50 degrees, but we do know that 100 is "much hotter" than 50.
I agree, I see too many db powerscalers rely too heavily on power levels rather than regular scaling, feats and calcs. Especially when comparing db to other series without power levels, it makes things inconsistent. While I do agree the Z fighters would win, the argument would sound cleaner without power levels.
DB uses Ki, Ki is life energy, the only reason characters get higher power is by mastering and training their Ki. A human may have a power level of 5, but even though they aren't far from moon busting levels, they have no knowledge of Ki or have the potential to train enough to harness it. Look at Videl for example.
The real problem with DB scaling is that they have magic laser attacks that can destroy planets, which throws off everything else. Take Roshi blowing up the moon. Goku at the beginning of Z was way stronger, yet he was barely able to move under 10 times gravity at first. Darkshine meanwhile is able to tank 15 times gravity. That clearly implies Darkshine has much greater physical strength than Goku, but nobody thinks Darkshine can blow up a moon, let alone a planet. There’s also Tatsumaki tanking 300G, which nearly killed Yamcha after Namek when he tried to see what Vegeta’s training was like. Yet DB fans insist Yamcha would beat Saitama.

They're exponential in Original DB, cuz you'll have characters get stated to get several times stronger, only for their PL to change slightly. In universe explanation could just be them starting to tap into their Ki better, or something, seeing as how normal humans have a PL of 5 but can't use Ki.

One of my biggest issues with dragonball scaling is power levels were never made to be taken seriously and if these characters were actually as strong and fast as these calcs put them at then why did Goku take an hour to travel Snake way and why did he consider 40 tons of weight extremely heavy?
I think power levels are directly tied to ki. The more you amp yourself with ki the stronger your AP, striking strength, speed, and durability become. When characters who can literally shatter celestial bodies are also sweating and being affected by a few tons and even by increased gravity, I think that’s because the weight is directly applied to their body past the ki amplification. Goku can move his roughly 200 pound (90 kg) body at speeds massively faster than light, but with weights on I believe that most of that weight is applied directly to his own past the ki amps until he can adapt to it. Meaning that when he puts on 40 tons of weights, he himself is directly 40 tons heavier with his ki unable to help him until he adapts, making him 400 times heavier and slower, which would make you pretty tired pretty fast if you can survive it.

You do realize that this is very consistent. The dragon ball afterlife is the same distance across as our universe. Of course it would take Goku a while to cross it. The 40 ton weight is just a one off mistake by the author
Goku’s flight speed is not as impressive as his combat speed. In the video most of the feats we mentioned for Goku are him dodging, or dashing out of the way of attacks, not him running super fast. And Goku lifting 40 tons could just be him training without ki to strengthen his physical body
This comes down to PURPOSE. DBZ uses flying to destinations as a chance to give exposition/build tension while most fiction just wants to get from point A to Point B to get back to the story
No one notices that DBZ has the OPPOSITE problem with every other show. Characters are SHOWN moving faster than lightspeeds IN COMBAT and SHORT BURSTS only but travel much slower than they should.
Every other fictional story has characters travel faster than light but they get punched by regular people and REGULAR PEOPLE CAN SEE THEIR FIGHTS so they can't actually be moving that fast
I feel like the way Boros invading the DB Earth would go if written in a story would go about this way:
Boros defeats the other z fighters but has a very competitive fight with Goku. Goku uses the Kaioken to gain an advantage and Boros recognizes this as similar to his meteoric burst. He then uses meteoric burst and briefly gets an advantage of his own until Goku ups the level of his Kaioken. Backed into a corner Boros uses Collapsing Star Roaring Cannon while Goku counters with a Kamehameha. The beam struggle is won after Goku ups his Kaioken a final time and the Kamehameha obliterates Boros.
Basically it goes the same way as the Vegeta fight except the beam struggle is the finale.
Pre Watch opinion- Manga Boros is Multi Continental with his peak power being surface wiping Earth and his speed being Relativistic + to low into FTL (scaling under the geometric light structure)
Anime Boros has the Planet level scaling but the same speed
Z fighters in the manga range from Moon level to Planet level (Goku) and Rel + to FTL

Planets in Dragon Ball are basically big bombs. If enough energy is used to set off the core then the whole thing blows itself to pieces. It seems kind of silly to say that because a Dragon Ball character's energy attack could make a planet blow itself up, then it means all of their strikes and anything that remotely hurts them are planet or star busting.

I feel scaling dragonball characters is weird since it doesn’t make much sense especially since power levels are literally designed to not make sense. The anime buffs the characters a lot by showing characters do things that don’t make sense in the context of other scenes such as showing the other Sayians being afraid of the Death Ball when if they all worked together they would have overpowered it.
It is also weird saying the Z fighters would best Boros if he is a planet buster since he has regeneration greater than most characters in dragon ball. Boros also can negate durability by attacking the organs with his beams something the Z fighters cannot deal with. Also as shown by super Boros being faster would just allow him to unironicly one shot all of them.

One thing people dont realize is, Boros's durability is kind of trash, it doesn't actually scale to his damage output. The attacks from saitama that did heavy damage would be significantly lower than attacks the z-fighters by this time were regularly taking and delivering. Some of their more casual ki attacks would still completely vaporize boros. if piccolo pulls up and does the same ki blast that vaporized the moon (though at this point it'd be much stronger.) Boros would die the second he's hit by it.
And if the Z-fighters decide to start using their stronger moves, his regeneration won't really matter. We don't even need to get Goku involved.
That's just headcannon why do you assume Boros has bad durability if the only durability scaling he has is from Saitama and his punching strength is inconsistent

yeah no, I'd struggle to imagine any of the Z-fighters being planet level, let alone Star level in the Namek saga. Power Levels aren't really linear, Roshi can destroy the moon with a PL of 135 while a regular man Raditz happens upon has a PL of 5. Moon-Large Moon is very consistent scaling for them, but Boros's planet-star level statements puts him way above them.

I do agree powerlevels aren't linear but Goku and Vegeta have multiple statements when it comes to blowing up earth/planets and we have Vegeta and King Vegeta blowing up planets, like we literally see it happening. As far as Piccolo blowing up the (second) moon
post Raddits fight Piccolo has about 300+ and blows up the moon in about a second, In og dragon ball Roshi blew up the moon first and he had about 320-ish in hulk form. Moon somehow exists again. Also the moon is restored or regenerated it’s mass between the Namek arc and Goku returning to earth as it shows up in ep118 in the show and chapter 329 in the manga. The moon in dbz is kinda silly or a cosmic horror. Everyone above power level 300 is a moon buster, Chaosu’s 620 should be well beyond moon buster. Why doesn’t 18,000 Vegeta (just under 60x more powerful than moon buster Piccolo) just use a basic blast spam to blow up the earth? For that matter why did base Freeza (power level 530,000, almost 1767 times more powerful than moon beam Piccolo) need to charge anything to blow up planet Vegeta?
If we just take ‘moon explode’ at face value the speed of basic ki blasts is FTL and everyone who has ever dodged a basic ki blast from a fighter above 300 power level is so stupidly beyond FTL to such a ridiculous extent or we have to admit that piccolo shooting FTL beams at Power Level 300+ is silly.
Honestly I don’t think the show wants to hold on Piccolo waiting for a long time for the moon to explode. If power Lvl 300+ Piccolo shoots FTL basic ki blast, and then RADDITS DODGES FTL. High balling Piccolo’s moon blast as large planet kind of falls flat for me considering Freeza using a charged blast at 70% of his power couldn’t even instantly destroy Namek. Unless you want to argue that Namek is millions of times harder to destroy than the sun.
The fact is, you have to consider that Toriyama probably literally thinks the moon is made of cheese. He made Cell brag about being able to destroy the solar system, but the sun is 99.98% the mass of the solar system, so it’s not that impressive by sheer numbers compared to earlier DBZ.

The anime messed up ONE's power-scale by having Tatsumaki pull down a meteor which she was just supposed to hurl a rock that would look like a meteor. It also includes other questionable anime-only feats such as gravity waves for Geryuganshoop.
It does not seem like smaller Battle Powers scale linearly until they reach the thousands given if a few hundred can destroy the Moon, Goku should be able to destroy mountains at the start of the series, yet he does not even crumple a car, which would also bring into question the supposed early light feats before Raditz. Likewise, Popo was teaching Goku to dodge lightning before fighting Majunior, which may suggest they were only light-speed after that.
The actual destruction of the Moon is not seen in the manga as it is shown flashing when the attack hits, then it is missing in the next panel, so exactly calculating its force therein is dubious. Piccolo is also very impressed by a large gash made in the Earth by Nappa, suggesting he and the rest of the Dragon Team are not full planet-level yet (as otherwise he could do the same). Even still, outside of the anime, it seems like Boros only reaches planet-level at full power, so considering he has to go through the entire Dragon Team including Goku, I imagine he would be defeated.
