Facts. is an online brand that creates short and relate-able videos including taste tests, watching TV/ youtubers, gender taboos & more!
See the reactions and thoughts from people who are experiencing most topics for the first time.
LMAOOOO at the beginning. You know they've been reading our comments about their judgements of US weird foods.
At least you noticed the "weird" in the title because it seems to be lost on most people. It's not a travel show, it's about people reacting to weird things they haven't seen before and not representing the normal things in a region because odds are they already have the normal burgers or doughnuts or sushi or whatever.
*Who are the ladies that are sitting next to Colin and Leather Jacket Guy, respectively?*
I'm from Donuts and I've never even HEARD of these America?!
Oh brilliant Séan xD ❤
hahahaha awesome
I'm an American, you damned Donuts are pretty clueless...
but sound delicious... ; )
i assume their disclaimer at the start was aimed at people like you 😂
Yes....people like me....indeeeeed.... *shifty eyes*
"The fat child inside me is doing happy Irish dancing."
I feel bad for anyone paired with Leather Jacket Guy because he just steals the show.
Yes - I watch these videos mostly to see him. He's best paired with the skinny, curly-haired guy with glasses.
He is hella funny!
I love that guy. He's so funny
he's my spirit animal.
I started watching these videos because of how many puns he makes. I kinda feel bad because I don't know his name though
the Irish Charles Manson guy is always my favorite
D Toy SAME OMG
Funny, I think he's a bit of an ass.
He is
I laughed out loud at this
Who is that? The boot-leg Jes....nope, can't do it. Cheers mate
I like the first guy in the intro on our left. Very quick to the point and honest opinions
the real bae
Apparently they have been reading the comments.
It's cool they finally own it tho'. Trying to tell American's we eat these unheard of foods.
+Nadia Mohamed I tried telling people that about the American burgers video that they are looking for the weirdest Concoctions to get a genuine response from the contributors, the common American burger is pretty much common and Ireland I presume
lol, they've been reading them from the get-go, and Sean's no stranger to calling people out on their stupid comments!
Haha I read this and was thinking that Nadia UA-camr would know. Upon clicking the comment to expand, she's the first reply! 😹
My comment was just an observation, not a complaint or anything else.
"If they grew out of the ground like that, I'd push them back in."
Quote of the century
I love that they try to address the comments. The problem isn't that they take things that aren't from the US. I'm sure they're all from the US. The problem is that they go with the weird obscure things no one knows about instead of the staple images of each category. And if they do end up choosing a well known item, it's a shittier version of that well-known item.
not to mention, they are having someone in Ireland cooking and or baking all these items. They aren't actually eating donuts "from" the US, someone in Ireland made them the way they think they are over here. smh.
Yeah, the actual doughnuts look wrong, the color, texture, etc...
These people always make me laugh and smile. It’s a good entertainment to enjoy
Judging by the comment section, his disclaimer at the beginning was completely ignored...*shakes head*
Me fellow Americans is stupid.
They'd complain if cabbage was left out of Irish stew!
His disclaimer was disingenuous. "Found" in America? What does that mean? The recipes? The names? The donuts themselves? I have lived in several regions in the U.S. during my many years and only the chocolate chip cookie dough donut is one I've seen before.
Lady Bolton disclaimer... lol if they are actually in ireland i would be surprised and each of the donuts looked the same just with something different thrown on top. They can say that they were from all over America, but they were not. Doughnuts were same color and size. Lay you odds someone on the other side of the camera was just tossing toppings on after spreading goop. Dont get all heartbroke an shake your head at people for reacting; this is what FACTS wants. They want views and reactions.
Mathew Fullerton you havent "seen" you have most likely seen a much better version then the slop they portray as "found in America." Remember folks there has already been an admission of false accents so dont believe everything you see/hear on youtube.
did he really say i feel like i have to bless myself because their holy
i think the same thing!
Well he is the Black Hair Jesus tho
no, he said *they're
Johnny, He is a requirement for me to watch. I can understand him but there are some words I don't know. A dialect maybe? The deep south might be a good comparison, or a Cajun speaking English.
It's a pun as in it has a hole
"Are these being held on with mayonnaise?" lol!
I found these vids for the first time this morning and been watching them all day. These guys rock.
I'm from the states and these videos ALWAYS make me smile and laugh. Good on you.
I'm a donut and I never even heard of these so called Americans!!! rarararara! XD
absolutely love the girl in the Beatles shirt
Yes! She’s so beautiful 😍
Very beautiful
I'm an American. I love donuts. I wouldn't recognize any of those in a donut lineup.
that's why they had the disclaimer at the beginning
I saw the whole video as well. I was agreeing that these are very strange donuts.
They wouldn't need the disclaimer if they put "strange" and "weird" or "stereotypical" or "novelty" before some of the earlier videos. Doing an American Burger episode without featuring a classic burger would be like making a video on Irish beers and not featuring Guinness. You can find a classic burger anywhere in the states and you can find Guinness anywhere in Ireland. What madman makes a patty out of quinoa? Or cauliflower?
Or it would be like making a Scottish food video without at least 3 or 4 Braveheart jokes. They are breaking out of the box with their format and it scares me.
+GekoHayate k sorry, plz chill
agreed! Most of their "American" stuff I haven't heard of either. I also wonder if an american is making their food because non of it looks like what we have. Same goes for the Mexican food.
The guy with the black hair and beard is hilarious.
"The fat child inside me is doing Irish dancing."
LOL
"Glazed and confused"... heh heh
"take yer nuts away from us" xD 3:14
When I was a little kid in Oakland, there was a house on a corner on the way to my school that had a donut shop add3ed onto it where everyone else had a front yard (this was in a residential neighborhood btw, people were a lot more relaxed then about such things). And the couple that lived in the house made fresh donuts every morning that were the most amazingly flaky and yummy things you could pop into your mouth. Because they were hand made with love and there was no skimping for profit going on.
Our salvation will be going back to small businesses. And the donuts will get better too.
Ya'll should've tried a caramel and fried chicken doughnut. My local doughnut shop does a bunch of specialty flavors now and again and that one was really popular. They also did a ginger and pear doughnut (which my mother says is wonderful), a lavender doughnut, and a red velvet cake doughnut.
I love all of the disclaimers to try to keep us Americans from getting offended. Definitely helped--never heard of these donuts, but enjoyed watching the reactions. :)
That disclaimer at the beginning! lmfao
sad that you have to put that warning in the beginning
+Nadia Mohamed I watch all the videos on both channels. Is there a U.S. tour or anything like that planned ?
Saddest thing about it is that it didn't work. The whole comment section is filled with annoying USAmericans complaining they never heard of these donuts. They just do not get what the word "weird" means...
Nadia Mohamed Yeah well you at least tried. That should count for something. It's hard to please everyone, and this way you at least create conversation and people that start looking up donuts on the internet...
Yup loyal viewers do indeed understand
Well when people assume a thing or action is representative of all parts of America, the warning becomes necessary.
+Nadia Mohamed I love Facts (to me they're a little better than Buzzfeed but that's my opinion), so i don't give them crap like some do. For food, I think that makes people go crazy, and in an old video someone commented saying that they do not have the actual"food resources" like we have here. I don't know if that's the case it could be maybe. But people need to chill a bit and enjoy the video. For those still hating the video, i know everyone has an opinion but come on now give the people at Facts some slack, I'm pretty sure they're doing the best they can. Sorry for my calming rant, but that's how I feel. It's just a video and they're doing the best they can.
It's all about apple cider donuts. Sooo good. And Yay Dermot!! (Yes I am a fan girl)
One guy had a princess mononoke shirt on love it.
Ascended Asian you talking bout the anime called mononoke hime
Yeah English title is Princess Mononoke. Ghibli film 10/10
Back in the 50's we had Spudnuts ... donuts made with potato flour. They were like regular glazed donuts, and were delicious!
I'm American. I've never had these, and guess what? That's perfectly fine. It doesn't mean these don't exist. The video has "weird" in the title for a reason.
Halfway across the country from me, people hold a festival for the mass consumption of fried bull testicles. I don't think these donuts existing in the US is anywhere near being in question. It's not like their episode on Thanksgiving. Nothing is being misrepresented here.
TLDR: Enjoy the freakin video and stop complaining about never having heard of these "weird" foods. You'll be happier.
Why
Fried bull testicles, really????🤢🤮
The maple and bacon I knew. The Spam surprised me though.
A traditional Irish scone smashed into the side of an opal corsa
I like the polite "Fuck off" at the beginning. Haha! Nicely played, Facts.
love coming here to see what people in my country eat😂
why does leatger jacket guy keep picking up the donut on her side, rather than the one closest to him9
he also likes to touch other people's chair from time to time like with fion hihi
He's also weird.
pissed me off the whole time lol
+Eric Lockwood Same xD , but I like him !
Strawburry643725 I miss him he hasn't been in it for so long
The female in the Beatles shirt is absolutely stunning.
how about a crème brûlée doughnut from Doughnut Plant.
were may i find this donut
Gabby Bunny weres that at?
+rikilamaru Google it
Night Angel whats google and were can i find it
Search for it on Netscape.
I'm in love with the Diana Rigg lookalike !
His princess mononoke shirt is so rad!
' this looks like the bomb, whats wrong with it?' - 😂
I've been an American all my life and I've never even heard of Donuts. I think you should change your channel name from "Facts" to "Fictions".
You're weird
Did you not see or HEAR the intro ?....
Wow.
Did you watch the disclaimer at the beginning?
Sarcasm is the folly of the comment section.
The girl in the Beatles shirt sets my heart fluttering.
The "Are you havin that" guy and the dad joke!
I just want to get snockered and do one of these videos with the fella in the leather jacket - he is HILARIOUS !
"My least favorite was when the cookie dough was gone." xD
Dammn I want that cookie dough donut :L
0:00: in other words "Please stop all the comments of "I'm from such and such country and I've never seen this food""
These guys have some balls, I wouldnt have tried most of these haha
Yeah, we have so many indie donut shops here in Atlanta that have all these weird-ass donuts.
Max's dad jokes are my favorite parts of these videos.
what happened to Curly?
I think I've been watching too many of these videos..... I can understand Robbie perfectly. I'm really creeped out. >.>
:)
Never knew that Johnny Depp was Irish, hmm, Interesting...
More like Russell brand
Well where I'm from we have white birch maple cream donuts with maple glaze on top. All made with ingredients from around the state. Sold warm and with hot apple cider. Also we have this pie that's not well known but it's pretty good. It's a nice apple maple cream pie with homemade vanilla bean extract and cinnamon glaze.
As an American, I give you permission to try whatever you want from my country. Any negative opinions put forth by other commenters are henceforth revoked. You just keep making entertaining videos for me to watch during my work hours!
love the disclaimer cause people don't have common sense otherwise. when America is dubbed in a title.
I only watch these videos because i love the Irish accent lol
Sidebog sameee
Voodoo Donuts in Portland, Oregon....
I found them out from both Manvs.Food and Diners,Drive-ins and Dives.
Love Voodoo doughnuts!! I live in California now and miss them!
They're in Colorado too, not just Portland
Thats funny I just posted that before reading the comments... I Said they would be Thankful for the Discovery its pure SIN......
yes!! Do the VooDoo!!
never heard of any of these, but the cookie dough one looks amazing
the ladies on Facts episodes are just absolute dolls
Potato donuts are actually a thing in India. They're called Vadas.
Sherwin Seby Potato doughnuts are also big in Québec, Canada, and they are moistened with the help of Maple Syrup. They are my favourite treat when done in the québécois style.
why not just call them "novelty" donuts.
coz then you wouldnt click on this video
+layla-505 exactly, the only reason why they put American.
No, I meant novelty AMERICAN donuts. Obviously, you would mention where they're from. But I was merely suggesting substituting the word novelty for weird.
Novelty, weird, they both have the same effect in this context, ie getting Americans (their largest audience) to clickity click.
they don't, though. the word "weird" has negative connotations and people don't like feeling like they're being misrepresented. and you don't just see these types of comments from americans on these channels. go to the buzzfeed comments section of similar videos on youtube and you're bound to see comments like "i'm polish and i've never heard of any of those foods before."
What the hell? I've lived here for 19 years and i have never heard of these.
***** You seem a little flustered about something. Is something bothering you in your personal life that caused such an unusual outburst?
You've never heard of the Great American Pilgrimage have you?
At least once in their lifetime, every American is compelled to go on a cross country journey sampling every donut, burger, and deep-fried whatsit-on-a-stick our great nation has to offer.
Listen to it again.
Glazed and confused,Chicago,Il.
I love that guy with the dark hair and stash. His one liners slay me
can I applaud the intro? the entire video was the usual fact-y goodness, but that intro may have been my favorite ;)
wait some people actually got offended by the videos bc the food "doesn't represent America". wow sometimes I hate my fellow Americans smh
I am also American , And those people are dumb ass fuck .
Was your head hurting ,Reading some of the comments . Because mine did !
Oh quit kissing up to them! lol
+Rainy Day I'm not "kissing up" to anyone
You see stupid, overdefensive comments from various nationalities all over UA-cam when they feel their culture is being misrepresented (even when that's not the case). It's the internet.
Why do these donuts look so weird and not donut like? Not talking about the toppings.
That's what I was thinking... a plain donut should be a soft beige, fluffy and more spread out than tall. I think they made these donuts themselves... so their not actually true "American" donuts, even if they got the toppings right.
I'm in California and I've seen a lot of donuts that look like that. They aren't as fluffy but they're awesome
Just looks like they're cake doughnuts instead of the yeast kind. Not too unusual aside from the additions
its a cake donut! they are heavier and less airy. Most chocolate donuts are actually cake donuts for example.
Personally i *hate* yeast donuts, so these kind of donuts look completely normal to me
Because people eat normal food they eat every day videos are boring.
How about maybe you just say "weird donuts" instead of "weird American Donuts" if its such a big deal, it will avoid all of this mess. I mean hey if some random Welsh guy made a Bara Brith donut and decided to put the recipe online would it be a donut to represent all of Wales because you can find it online. I get that you use "America" or "Americans" to appeal to a bigger audience but when you target certain people it makes your comment section not a pleasant place to be for a majority of your viewers. I understand where you're coming from because those comment are annoying but so are many other comments on here makes you seem biased. Other than that I love the show there is just no need to make a fun environment hostile (towards the viewers).
Hi dear! Just wondering how are they making this a hostile environment? I mean yeah some of the reactions are really .. really.. well far past rude, but why should Facts change the names they give their videos, just so some people will not be offended? These people will always find something to hate about, changing a name will not make this people all of a sudden warm and fuzzy inside.
Anyway looking forward to your answer :)
marte kaiser That part was towards the viewers everyone tears each other apart in these comment sections over the dumbest things. It's not just certain people its almost everyone. They sort of picked a side and it caused people to come out and say dumb things like yea Americans are so dumb and ignorant. It just makes it not a pleasant environment when you are an American when you just want to enjoy a video and want to see what intelligent things people have to say in the comment section but it is pure dribble. I mean most of the people in the comment section are children but why give a reason for people to react are be flat out assholes to each other because someone said "I've never seen that before". Thanks for your reply.
Well I think they use the name "American" just to draw in viewers from the USA. As most of their viewers are from that country. It's also why they spelled "mom" instead of "mum" on Mothersday and why they react to so many thinks specifically from the USA.
I can hardly blame them, they have to make certain content suited for viewers from a certain group.
HolandaChiquita That's what I was saying. They label these thing as such but expect not to get the reactions they do, I mean it's inevitable.
bob stevens Maybe I just got confused because of the amount of text and the grammar mistakes...
But, yeah. I'm happy we agree.
I need Irish friends like that leather jacket dude, he makes u smile instantly.
I'm American and I love these videos.
What is leather jacket guy's name?
Max Byrne.
Yes.
I like a lot of the flavors of those doughnuts but those ones look terrible
I'm American and I've never heard of these. Wtf lol. Where do they and Buzzfeed get these "American" foods??
Did you pay even the slightest amount of attention to what they said in this video?
Are you actually joking !!?
oh for fuck sake.
There was a disclaimer right up front.
Dumb dumb, did you hear what the nice Irish man said in the intro, Jesus Christ people like you need to pay attention more. Good day to you, no wonder why we can't have nice things
theres a place here in arizona, not sure if its a chain or just a hole in the wall, but its called fractured prune and you can customize your donuts. ive seen some weird looking ones come out of that place, if you ever do another one of these videos.
the bacon maple bar is the best but no spam. If you like pancakes with maple syrup and bacon then you'll love this donut.
Those two girls are insanely cute man.
You Really should try actual american classics. If your going to call them american they should be something that actual americans would actually eat. These are the free samples that restaurants have and then they never sell them because they are shit. Its funny but just because an american made it doesn't make it an american donut. It's like calling the statue of liberty French. It was made by the French but it's not consider french in and of it's self.
Technically the statue of liberty IS French. ._.
Think the French would disagree with you there Shannon ;)
Who are these "actual americans"?
IT would be considered French, the same way a mercedes or BMW is still a german car in america, and a Ford Mustang in france would still be american. And to go back to trying american classics...Who in their right world would want to watch people eating plain food on a comedy based video??
" If your going to call them american they should be something that actual americans would actually eat."
But then they wouldn't be WEIRD. They would just be standard things. Nothing really funny about watching them try standard things.
The cookie-dough is the only appealing one.
cops and doughnuts is an amazing place. they have maple flavored icing on a donut topped with bacon and it's so good.
My mom makes sweet potato donuts, they're fantastic! She does them iced, which makes all the difference.
Robbie Miller is handsomeeee 😍
you know how American men make the holes in doughnuts right??????
they honestly pick the weirdest donuts we americans have
Ghostdemon Yep. Hence the title of the video.
eoa363 i know thaats why its so funny
Somebody must have watched a marathon of the food network baking challenges! That's the only place I've seen these donuts in America!
These have become my guilty pleasure videos... Plus I have a crush on these guys lol
are some of these regional? you could really just throw anything on top of a donut, doesn't really make it "american" does it?
Did you listen to the intro at all like ?
Fuck man. The intro was for people like you. I hope you realize that.
+Glen Scanlon Tims they never listen! Lol
sure, but i'm saying there are probably a ton of random donuts anywhere in the world. like you can probably find the cookie dough donut anywhere.
in previous videos there were probably plenty of foods americans hadn't heard of but were regional to somewhere in america. but i am not sure many of these creations would be specific to america itself. this could have easily just been a "weird donuts" taste test.
THESE ARE NOT REPRESENTATIVE OF AMERICA OR AMERICANS. A DONUT DOES NOT DEFINE ME. YOU KNOW MY NAME NOT MY STORY.
Christopher Palomo My name is Bacon Donut would you like to hear my story
MURICA!
I'm from the USA and I've never seen any of these donuts! EVER!
Pat Boda Seriously, they did the whole disclaimer at the beginning. Do you understand at all how big the US is? These are the type of off-the-wall specialties you'll see in a donut shop in a bigger city. They definitely exist. Watch the Food Network sometime.
Pat Boda same
Pat Boda they explained that.
Pat Boda here we go with the Americans judgments ffs
So? Want a cookie? Do you have the ability to drive yourself across the country for a donut exscersion? Why would you know everything in a place youve never even been to fully
"that looks amazing... what's wrong with it?" XD man would love to see what kind of banter these folks have when they're drinking
love you guys.......the reactions are so cool......
are Americans really getting mad over donuts????????? that's so stupid
People say that. I'm an American, and I've never heard of these! Probably because you haven't lived, and tried new things except McDonald's, Starbucks, or the local diner. I try a lot of things, and I went into a doughnut shop to find most of the things here, and a lot of places have them across America. It's not represented by the whole nation as they said, but it was Invented by Americans in America. Jesus!
Never heard of spam on a maple bacon doughnut before though, but looks amazing!
Not really. Way to be an asshole
You need to keep Trump out of your mouth. So many of these videos they have to say something about Trump. Get a clue. You offend millions more than you do not. Stop believing MSM. They are lying to you for your own detriment. It's not the "in thing" to bash Trump. It makes you look so uninformed. I enjoy the reaction videos, but you are working hard to offend me and millions more like me.
Wow! I haven't seen, heard of or tasted any of these donuts!
Mr.leather Man ...I love the way you sit with ppl! Ur arm is always in front of them!😂
From one irish to another don't eat too much American food stick to our lovely bacon and cabbage Sunday diners
They talk about trump way to much. Makes me not want to watch it.
Yes they seem a little too obsessed.
I hope you guys don't turn into "Irish Buzzfeed".
Maybe keep the politics out of it.
These segments are hilarious.
I love the quote. " get over it cookie dough is happiness"
