      I am a U.S. citizen of Irish heritage, so I like watching the Irish folks do this and that. My father aways pronounced potato as "pudaydah" just as most of these Irish folk do, so that must have been how his Dad said it. Kinda fun to see these references.

    I wouldn't say kangaroo is either particularly popular or considered a delicacy in Australia. The meat is very low in fat compared to beef and 'roos are kind of in plague proportions in some parts of the country, though, so it makes sense to eat them. I've had it, its alright. We also eat emu, making us the only country that consumes our coat of arms!

      Yeah i don't think any of these foods are necessarily 'popular' as they described, just that they originated in those places. French don't eat loads of snails and the Aussies don't eat a ton of kangaroo either.The most popular dish is probably the chicken feet which are eaten fairly regularly in quite a few countries.

      It's more of an Appalachian delicacy, and they refer to them as "Mountain Oysters". I have never heard of people eating lamb testicles, but I have heard of people eating goat testicles. Ironically I was in Washington State last month and there was a gas station called Testicle Festival, and they were known for their mountain oysters.

      Kangaroo is very popular. You can find it in pretty much every grocery store or butcher in Australia, Delicious meat. Dunno what the 'yellow' goo was , must have been the sauce. But what they should have done is, kangaroo testicles, it's a delicacy in the northern territory.

      +Nicky Morris it's a head/culture thing. you have to work around the bones, like a chicken wing, but if you're ok with eating that and like bacon, or pig skin, then i say it tastes just as good depending on how it's cooked. fat+anything usually tastes pretty good

    • @tarrenp4021
      @tarrenp4021 8 років тому +13

      +Nicky Morris It's pretty good! I've had it at a bistro before, and while there are a lot of bones to work around, it's pretty soft and often the spices used give it a really good flavor.

      I never thought there was anything weird (being Chinese) about cracking open a chicken head and sucking out the brain, but when I moved to Australia, seems people only eat muscle and skin.

    Ladies and gents, many thanks from the rest of us for your noble sacrifices in some of these videos. All of us who have wondered how in the name of God people can eat some things NEVER HAVE TO FIND OUT WHAT THEY TASTE LIKE, all because of you. You make the world a much better place...except for the parts where they actually enjoy this awful offal.
