It's just temporarily when Max and Jet are newborns. They are still keeping their Colorado house and going back. It's just easier with weather and appointments here.

Wasn’t one of the main selling points of the Colorado home was that it’s the perfect house to raise a family? The excitement you guys had over the pond, the barn, the beautiful slow pace life it had to offer.
Thats what im saying. Very confused why they would prefer to raise twins in California than Colorado? Especially when their support system is in Colorado? I know Shane’s mom is in California, but thats one person when it takes a village with raising newborns
I think they said in another video it was because they didn’t want to have baby’s in freezing weather and snow to where they couldn’t get out if they needed to go to doctor appointments.

Its just a different vibe entirely and it is so amazing to see. After watchibg Shane for 12 years, and Ryland for quite a few now.... the transformation is pretty amazing.
Shane seemed like a shell of a person in California. Shane seems so at home and comfortable in Colorado.

Having them babys raised in Colorado and open fresh air and seeing the sesaons change. And watching them crawl and stand and walk in a place like Colorado will really make it worth your while. And as many people said living near Raylands family is important as your going to need a support team with twins. You both will feel overwhelmed for the 1st year.
Hands down the colorado house will be so much more comfortable as a family home. I just adore that house and love how happy shane seems there.

Hi guys! As someone with a 7 month old, I think you guys will be happier just bringing the boys home to Colorado! You’re gonna be inside mostly for the first 3 months or so anyway, so the weather won’t matter too much. Then once springtime comes, it’ll be perfect time to start doing more outdoor stuff with the boys once they’re not such newborns anymore!
Also it is totally ok to bring outside babies even in snow (with the correct equipment) they need fresh air and the weather doesn't stop anyone!
@@ilariatc1240in some countries they let babies nap outside. Seriously take a look, I thought it was a joke but they really believe the cold is beneficial! I do too actually. I'm looking for somewhere around me where I can basically bathe in ice. A lot of health benefits!

@@ilariatc1240Exactly. I think a lot of people are forgetting that there’s plenty of babies who are born in the fall/winter and do just fine. I’m a November baby and it literally snowed the day I was born and snowed when I went home lol. Most parents don’t want other people around their newborns period, so being inside during the colder months work great. You can’t do much outdoor activities with a newborn anyway.
Yes the most important thing is the family and support system in Colorado
Honestly the way you guys got your Colorado home and the story behind it not to mention how much Shane has emotionally blossomed plus your welcoming a little one I would for sure stay in Colorado

Plus, it's so nice to have help with babies. I've only had one and even one baby without family is really hard.
They have Shane's mom in California and it's also a very short plane ride. I'm sure Vicki and Morgan will come down all the time.
And the fresh air.. Oxygen, anions, etc. So wonderful there. 😊

I was raised in NY and moved to Florida in 2010 and Christmas has never felt like Christmas since 😭 it’s really a whole different vibe. I love seasons. I do miss that.

It’s a dumpster fire, overpopulated, miserably hot (Florida heat vs Midwest heat are so so different), expensive, and I hate that there’s no season changes. I would choose mountains over beaches and Fall/Winter over Spring/Summer any day.
I am team Colorado all day every day. Both of you are happier in Colorado. California is nothing but stress, anxiety, and dumpster fire problems.

I have 17 month old twin boys and having newborns in the Colorado house would be so nice. the view in that home is beautiful and peaceful and having Ryland's family close to come hold a baby and help is invaluable. Watching the snow fall outside on their gorgeous lake would be so peaceful during a tiring time when you're in the thick of it.
I know, this is shocking… it’s literally the opposite of what they should be doing….
And having Shane’s mother, brother, Sister in law in cali will be just the same ❤

Colorado is going to be a better place to raise a family. School experiences, life experiences, it’ll be a quieter life all around
As a mother of two, Colorado is the way to go bringing up those babies. Your parents and sister are there and they’d be able to stay with you and help you. If snow is the real reason just don’t go out with them. When I was a new mom I was holed up somewhere with my baby. Trust me when I say you are going to need your mom and dad Ryan. It takes a village to raise a child and your village is in Colorado
Y'all are crazy. I would totally bring the boys up in Colorado. I live in southern California, and Colorado in the Fall and Winter look like a dream! Plus most of your family can help you guys out with the boys. And your grandma can spend extra quality time with the boys. She's not getting any younger.

@@tealsteakI live in Canada. The amount of snow here crazy but as long as you have good winter tires than you are all good. They also sand the streets lots here so that’s also great too.
Honestly I feel like once the babies are here you’ll definitely want to be a in Colorado. you’ll need as much help as possible. After I had my son I really appreciated all the help I got. It really does take a village. My son is a year and a half and I still really need help and appreciate it.

Oh had I hoped you were going to start your family in Colorado! We live next to you in Colorado and have twin Girls (who are babysitting age;) The family and overall support that is needed in the first months/years cannot be underestimated. Colorado and your neighbors hope to see you back soon.
I personally have enjoyed the Colorado vlogs more than California. It just feels more "homie" and comforting to watch. Shane seems to THRIVE in Colorado as well, which we love to see. Cali would be a great place to visit a few times a year with the kiddos but overall, Colorado and the atmosphere you've put together there with such a beautiful family home, seems like it would be the best place to raise a family.

They have said they plan to spend the boys first year in LA then go back to Colorado after that. They just wanna spend some time with Shane’s family while they’re little from what I understand

Shane’s family and Lizze are in LA, so it’s more understandable as to why they are so torn with this decision. I’m sure it’s very hard on them having to decide but either way I know they’re gonna be excellent fathers 😭♥️

Colorado! I haven’t even watched past the intro and what I have to say is that the stress that comes with being a new parent both of you need to be as close to 100% as possible and Shane seems like he’s way more comfortable there and to echo everyone else… the help that Ryland’s family would be is worth more than gold
Voting Colorado! There were good times in California but I feel like there are better times ahead in Colorado! Seems like you guys are more at peace surrounded by your land and your animals and your family.

as someone who grew up in the countryside of northern CA, I vote Colorado. My favorite memories are my family camping trips, trips to the beaches and mountains, and experiencing nature. Yes you can get that in CA, but you won't get the peace and calmness you have in Colorado!

Colorado seems like such a better place for the boys to grow up tbh. I live in Parker down the street from you guys but have also spent lots of time in Cali. It just seems like being close to family would be so helpful, and life would be way less stressful

As someone who left L.A. for Colorado in 2001 in order to have a better place to start a family, my advice is Colorado. You are going to want as much help as possible, especially with two kiddos. The lifestyle here in Colorado is so much better for wee ones. We have seasons, lifestyle is more relaxed, people are friendlier, etc. once I had my kiddo, I have never regretted staying here.

I never comment on videos, and I'm only 12 minutes in but as a seasoned baker, make sure you accurately measure your ingredients, baking is chemistry so if you don't measure properly, it will affect the batter. You batter looked more like cake batter than cookie batter. You also don't usually use a whisk to add the dry ingredients. Whisking ads in a lot of air which will give a lighter, fluffier texture. Use a big spoon or wooden spoon when adding dry ingredients and don't oven mix/whisk your wet ingredients. Hope this helps!

Riley finally comes out of that puppy eating everything phase. Their relationship has come so far, and all the effort Ryland put into her, now it's like a beautiful friendship BFFs his mama for life. All dogs want to do is give you love, miss you when you're gone and greet you with happiness when you come home so they really are a gift from God😊 a soul to just give you love without judgement and no talking back hahaha❤

I'm voting Colorado! Fresher air and not the crazy of California! Having family near is so nice also! Babies come home in winter/cold all the time. Denmark they let the babies sleep bundled up outside for naps

so i lived in michigan all my life and i moved to california and after being here i remember fun times in michigan and i'm like ugh should i move back. but what i miss is the familiarity, the memories, and certain things only michigan has but i know for a fact i'm happier here and it seems like you guys are happier in CO but you still love CA! which i totally get. but don't get stuck in the familiarity and old times because you'll forget the memories you've made here and how you say you're so much happier!
We lived hours away from family when I got pregnant with our 2nd baby, when our first was 1. I’ll say moving back to be close with my family was the best thing we ever did- having extra hands and people to support you makes all of the difference in the world. But that’s something you guys will have to feel out and decide for yourselves! ❤️ wishing you all the best!

My baby boy is 2 months old & being so close to my family has been amazing and so necessary for me and my sanity. Do what makes y’all happy, babies are an AMAZING chapter but the absolute most challenging one too, it takes a village🫶🏼
