I had to laugh a little because as a mother of twin boys and 3 dogs myself, the white fabric furniture and rug is certainly a bold choice. 😅 If you haven't already, scotchguard is now a necessity. The room looks amazing!

That part. When you’ve been watching for years and know how hard it’s been for him, it really brings tears to your eyes. So so proud of him 💕🙏🏼 love this version of Shane, and he’s only getting better
Shane 2021 would never because of the harassment that he was receiving from thousands of people. I’m so glad he got over that and he has shown his strength and resilience.

I may be wrong, but I think the painting is hung sideways by accident. Isn't the beach at the bottom and sky at the top? The 'people' also show orientation because as it is, they are sideways.
I love how you wanted to prepare this room for babies and then you buy a couch that has the sharpest hardest edges 😂

That’s fine. They can redo it in 2/3 years 🤑 I had a vintage white couch after my second was born. Bad decision forsure but whatever 😂

This is one of my favorite rooms you’ve made over. It’s so much more open because of the way the coach faces. It’s really cosy and beautiful and all the animals make it even better.
For future reference to make the couch a bit more baby safe (and other furniture) amazon has bumper thingys you can put onto corners of your furniture! They have like padding in them so bb’s don’t hurt their heads or anything! Loved the vid and you guys so much !!! 💕💕
Try switching out your kitchen cabinet hardware for a nice brushed or satin brass/gold/champagne tone but in a more squared modern style. It’ll go so good in the existing kitchen, it’ll really help bring in the mixed metals vibe (I love mixing metals) and it’ll literally change the whole look of the kitchen and warm it up like the living room now. So gorgeous!
Can we just take a minute to propose that Ryland has a site where we can all buy his gently used furniture when he changes his rooms every 6 months... Because I would buy it ALL

The room is so inviting !!! I feel like a lot of people do neutrals wrong and it just feels cold and bland. But this has SO MUCH personality and it feels cozy ! Also Shane looks so so handsome and happy ! The hair looks amazing ! Ryland is so gorgeous ! I love how excited they were creating something beautiful together :))) This was really a project of love
The couch is so baby/kid friendly with those hard sharp edges

Being little-kid-excited and being passionate aren't the same. WIth passion, logic still follows suit, unlike adding white furniture while having babies on the way.

A rocking chair would be a nice addition, most ppl put them inside the nursery but you aren’t in the nursery as much so having it in the living room is going to be so convenient. I love the new space you guys did a great job, it’s definitely giving “family” ! ❤
Might want to think about a safety fence for the pool.. they will be crawling and walking before ya know if and you’ll want to let them in the backyard.

Knowing that your boys are coming in just a few weeks or could possbly be here already blows my mind. I have watch shanes journey since i was 12 years old, and i love seeing the glow up. Its so amazing to see him truely happy. Now that im 25 and a mother of 2 myself i wanted to tell you both; you are going to feel exhausted, overwhelmed, full of joy, and confused all at the same time. I was so scared and anxious while i was pregnant with my first. I was scared i was going to mess everything up. Please remember to just take it one day at a time. I got a white couch while my sons were super young, and in my mind I remember thinking “this way I can just bleach stains out!”….yeah…doesn’t work with off-white or beige 😅 thank g-d for couch covers!

Hey guys just some things I thought maybe I’d mention; maybe some kind of padding or something for the couch corners and maybe adding a fence to the pool for safety? I’ve learned as a mom always be better safe than sorry! 😁☺️🧡 also, LOVE THE ROOM you guys outdid yourselves it’s a perfect combo of BOTH Shane & Ryland and love how everything they chose they had the babies in mind 💕💕💕 so excited for you two!!! I love the transformation! You guys have such a neat style. Thats whats so fun about living with your beloved and seeing how both your unique visions come together to shape your home. My style is definitely different but this space is very calming. The chandelier is my favorite part. I feel like youre gunna get highly skilled at removing stains. Those light colors with toddlers...good luck! Love yoy guys & i cant wait for the babies!!!
That might be the LEAST child friendly couch I’ve ever seen. I’m 30 and I hurt myself on that couch all the way from my bathroom in Canada .😂 and the stools you replaced also became not child friendly and will be stained right away 😂 Ryland bouta get blind sided by what a child filled house be like.

The most non-child friendly couch, and barstools ever lol. You are so lucky to have the space for a playroom. You will have so many baby items soon, between swings and bouncers and changing station, toys etc that will end up downstairs, I see another makeover in 6 months!!!! Looks beautiful though.
With my twins we spent almost 5 months basically living in our living room. We finally broke down and got two big comfy recliners because that’s the only way we could get them to sleep 😭 plus it was nice being close to the kitchen since SO MANY bottles have to be made at all times. We even put their bassinets in the living room. And I had a cart with all baby supplies with us in the living room; diapers, wipes, cream, etc. making your living room cozy and comfortable is a must with the twins on the way 😊❤

I love it!! You guys did such an awesome job designing the room! I wasn't sold on the big couch because the arm rest looked sharp, and not so kid friendly but by the time the boys are walking who knows where you guys will be living. Absolutely love all the room designs that you guys have done! ❤️

Before my girls started crawling I always did a walk through . Definitely rubber tabs for any coffee table with ends, plug in tabs ect. You guys are gonna do great and you’ll have plenty of instinct before the twins start crawling. ❤

Oh no, not that couch with babies! The amount of times my babies fell/or just randomly hit their heads on the arms of the couch.. and having nothing but wood, oh gosh, be careful!
Think about the sharp corners of the couch when they start walking. I love the beautiful light colors of the couch and bar stools but babies are known to spill and be a bit messy. The room is still beautiful.

You both have a great eye! I do agree about putting something on the corners of the sofa…and would highly suggest taking the marble table out when they begin pulling themselves up and start walking.. that’s just a concussion/busted mouth waiting to happen. You could even replace it with the bench under the tv.

i just want to say ive been following shane since his shemmy schreg crap and it's crazy to watch someone grow so much, not only a comfortable living but to be able to support your loved ones is incredible. i found him when i was in like 7th grade and i'm going to be 29 on saturday and i feel i've grown up with him. i moved out of colorado in march and lived soo close to you guys and always hoped i would run into you but hey maybe someday! love you two sm!
I LOVE how Shane is literally playing with the pool noodles like a 4 year old. He doesn't need to change , he will be such a fun Dad. I feel like a playful child most the time too-- now im a mom, didnt change and parenting can be such a blast. Rryand and Shane, you two will def make a perfect home dynamic---honestly.

Having zero psychological intelligence would cause you to be considered brain dead. The comment you came back with might show signs but I promise you, you're not fully brain dead. Don't you worry buttercup. Arguments are a form of stress, so therefore it impossible to be considered "stress free". They literally argue due to intellectuality . Ryan is a girl with girl views in the valley-girl mindset, while Shane is still just an average guy but with a marshmallow heart and extremely dramatic sensitivity issues. They are bound to fight a LOT, but that's not a negative thing. It's just a debunker towards your generic commentary.

Me and my husband rarely argue about big things and we still argue a couple times a day as you would with any other person you live with and share a room with. It can be anything from you didn’t ask me before inviting people over to you left out some food and it’s completely healthy if you’re not having arguments living with your significant other you’re not being genuine and that’ll come back to bite you later

Couch isn’t a good idea for babies is definitely recommend a section so you can lay the babies out on it or on top of their little lounging pillows on the couch. Also 13:36 I’d recommend start training the dogs/ cats to stay off furniture! Just because all of them shed tons and they will dirty it all.

Okay so the room is very nice. However it’s not baby safe guys. The wood couch hurts. 😢 lots of ER trips I hate to say. I hope the women in the family said something. You’re gonna need to attach a lot of edge protectors. You’re going to realize that you can’t have nice things when you have little ones.
