Easy & Delicious “alkaline” dinner RECIPE

  • RECIPE for this delicious Sour Orange-Date-Tahini Sauce:
    - boil water then soak medjool dates & a few tamarind. Let sit then remove tamarind seeds & drain (save sweet water for dumplings, cookies, etc). Blend soaked dates & tamarind into paste. (*next time we make this, we would want the date/tamarind blended-paste to be a thicker paste, either homemade thicker or bought from the store-it would help darken the sauce and give a deeper date/tamarind flavor).
    - juice sour orange and remove fruit flesh and white flesh from the peel, then cut into slices. Save some fresh peel to grate on top of your plate. Boil 2x & drain in between to remove bitterness (you can also save this “tea” for medicinal bitters). Coat the peels with coconut sugar & agave.
    - for sauce: in a pan with some toasted sesame oil, sauté white onion, 1 whole scotch bonnet (don’t cut), and a few boiled orange peels (boiled, not baked). After it becomes fragrant, add your blended dates/tamarind, and tahini; season with onion powder, sea salt, fresh basil & dill. Remove scotch bonnet pepper when sauce is complete (& save for another cook)-you can also cut & chop it in for more spice.
    - for mushrooms: mix einkorn flour & water together until you get a watery pancake-like batter, season with sea salt, onion power, basil & oregano.
    - blend leftover roasted chickpeas to use as breadcrumbs.
    - dip mushrooms in wet batter then coat in "breadcrumbs" & bake around 350 F until crispy
    - for salad: peel zucchini and yellow squash, slice thinly white onion & bell pepper, fresh dill & basil, season with key lime, sea salt, and olive oil.

By tuning in to the angles and anatomy of our bodies, we can return to a state of injury-free & pain-free existence. Cay has over 10 years of experience working in the emergency & sports medicine field; specializing in rehabilitative and kinesthetic awareness techniques; while Chris is an elite athlete, who is a Coach with GOATA Locomotive Movement Systems (goatamovement.com), and specializes in training for injury-free, efficient performance.
    Self-expression is a necessary part of our human experience-it is a space where we can truly connect to Source and simultaneously give and receive true love.
    Through the use of certain food, movement, and mindset (self-love), our vessels can be cleansed to gain a deeper and more pure connection with All That Is.
