More like you thought you could just punch out a long bushing and realized how can I install this new one. Lol who you kidding. I just did mine and forgot, you need a bushing installer. Not bearing installer either. I stop and plan to bring the pump body to a shop and have them press it out and in with the new. Lol

The shaft shouldn't be that tight. Hope you installed the new bushing afterwards.
