what does the loop button do...
You put SO MUCH effort into these tutorials,a nd theyre amazing for it. Great job Mort!!
This is unbelievably good stuff you made here. I know the video is kinda old rn but when i see how much preparation u did, and how well you are explaining everything i just cant stop myself from commenting.
"Accidentaly draw in the wrong layer, sometimes"
U mean all the time?
That depends, if your intentions are to draw on said layer. Sometimes the wrong layer is selected.

After watching this video I can see this application is super powerful without having overwhelming clutter features. I look forward to using it more!
Mort, this has been the best Aesprrite tutorial I’ve found so far. Every question I had, you answered! Thank you.
I really aprecciate your tutorial. You even took the trouble to draw on the program to make it easier to understand. Thanks for that
Thank you, this was super helpful! I've never done any sort of timeline animation, just frame animation in photoshop.
This tutorial made you win a subscriber! Just starting to dig my hands into Aseprite and I love it.
my gosh, I learn A LOT from your 14min video. Thank you. You really help me, because I stopped in my pixel art and didn't know what doing next.
Thank you for this tutorial. That was a very comprehensive tutorial about Aseprite's animation features.
As someone just picking up Aseprite this was a great intro to the animation controls. Thanak you!!!
I was trying to decide if I wanted to buy Aseprite. This video convinced me. This software is awesome!
your artwork is fucking adorable, man. had a smile on my face the entire time.
Great job on this. Loved the giant loaf of bread with legs! lol
I LOVE you, thanks a lot for all the tutorials and videos! Especially the Aseprite ones, so helpful!
Man, I have been using Aseprite for a couple of years, animation included, and just now I did learn about the linked cells.
Also, I think the Tags are kinda useful, but they need to also work as folders, I work with MANY animations over the same subject so it could be nice to make them take less space by putting them in their own "Finished" folder that I can have closed the same way layer folders work
im so glad i came by your channel. i love it
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
I was struggling with all the tools and you explained it all very well and even had examples which was great!
Thanks again for your help!
Thank you so much. This video is what I need. Your videos always like that for me, basic and important.
Just started to draw pixel arts and this video is so useful and easy to understand. Even if its old. Thanks for your work!

This is actually really helpful though, I'm still new to animating an all so this definitely helped

Super helpful

Great vid, dude. Thanks for the help
Hi, I watched some videos of tutorials from the aseprite and none helped me, THANK YOU FOR BEING DIFFERENT FROM THEM.
Brazilians also see you :)
That was super informative, thank you!
I learned some new stuff. Thanks!
Thank you very much for this, helps a lot.
Love every single one of your videos!!!
How do I rearrange the layers? (the order)
Great tutorial by the way !
Great video. I'm learning so much with your tutorials. Thanks for the amazing content. Did you ever used Pyxel for tilesets? I believe not everyone have photoshop and it would be nice to have some tutorials on a very cheap (and great) alternative.
I agree. although mort does not have much experience in pyxel it my favorite for tilesets.
I love pixel art a lot
Tags are sooooo usefullll
THANKS!!!
Your shirt designs are fucking rad!
Your tutorials are very useful!thanks a lot!
I can not acess layers on aseprite.. my draws i do all in single layer.. can you help me?
Thanks for the amazing video...
Loved all draws to teach and i like very much your videos.
Love that you recap all lesson and amazing to know about onion method, its very helpful for sure. I wished this so much now first time im animating it Will come as a glove on hand ;D
I didnt knew about your store... I would love to use some on my game if you let me... but maybe i use as reference to build 3d things...
Thank you very much, it was very helpful🤗
Thank you very much for the Lesson
You sold me on this one. I'm decent at pixel art, but the paint tool sai program I was using doesn't seem to be that helpful. This Aseprite is damn amazing.
Fantastic tutorial, very helpful! Thanks
Good stuff, Mort.
What I love the most in Aseprite is the animation tagging. It's so useful.
How do you go from your ASE file to an actual in-game sprite?
allluckyseven really only depends on the game engine, and not at all on aseprite. All you do in aseprite is export.
I think tou can use a file converter so for example a .jpeg turns to .jpg
@@raihanlyla6454 *.jpeg and *.jpg are synonymous.
Cutest little character
New here. Awesome, I never knew you could buy sprites. Always thought you had to hire someone for a custom job. Didn't realize people can buy ready made ones.
thanks for the video, so i can start learn how to animated pixel art :)
I'm trying the trial version right now to make sure it runs properly on my computer before I ever tried to buy it~
I have a few question~
1. Do I uninstall the trial version before buying Asepriste?
2. Since I'll be buying and downloading it on my Computer, what if I changed/bought another computer? How can I get the program that I have paid before, into that new computer?
Thanks! This was really helpful!
Awesome tutorial!! Thanks!!
Wonderful video, I instantly subscribed to this channel!
really helpful tutorial! keep going bro!
really good tutorial, thank you!
just some questions, How do i move a whole layer with it's animation and how do i copy a whole layer and it's animation? #hashtag
Sorry this is super late (and you probably figured it out already) and I think you could just right click the layer to copy it, or select it and ctrl c, ctrl v. To move a whole layer I think you can click and drag it? I'm not sure
@@nancydoan9283 i still haven't figured it out in 2 years so i appreciate it
@@valeria.living oh man well I hope this helps!
@@nancydoan9283 i do wonder why i put #hashtag though...
@@valeria.living haha that was my question!
i have the oldER version cause it was free and it's only a little differant so this vid was very helpful
This help's me a-lot :). Keep up the good work.
Excellent tutorial, very useful...!
The locked layer thing, what's the purpose of dragging around, does that mean the layer is actually infinite, since you can always move it?
I have a question I can't find ANYTHING about, Keyframes??? For examples if I draw a building and I don't want it to change but I want it to move across the screen is there a way to make it move from right to left across the screen without moving it individually every cell?
Very cool and useful, thank's !
that was super helpful man
thank you very much : D
I don't know if you're still answering messages from this video, but I couldn't find the crop, to narrow down the size of the drawing.
I know the farmer's overalls are showing buttons and a pocket but I imagine it like this: :D
the smiley face!
Thanks, dude, that was very useful!
I sped up the video a little but otherwise a very helpful video, thanks very much.
Thanks for the amazing lesson! You saved me so much time and effort, and helped me get started so fast!
Also Mort don't you have to update your character since you have a beard now? 😲
Ur 2 comments r right next to each other. So that's y u cant do it 4 him...
Love your work man !!!
thanks a lot
now i can make the sans animation
thank you, great tutorial!
Do you have any tutorials to teach us how to efficiently animate at different velocities different parts of the same animation? Idk if you know what I mean.
Thank you ^-^Learned a lot !
