"What is the line tool?"
"It's a tool that makes lines."
MINDBLOWN
😂
Well, he's not wrong tho 😂
I had to watch that part a few times before I got it.
@@NETBotic now my mind is blown!
it sounds like dani explained that
Thanks for Watching.
- I read, spelled and pronounced some things wrong, but English it not my first language so I hope you understand it all.
- I didn't cover everything, i wanted to focus on the basic stuff and then make videos on advanced stuff eventually.
I really enjoyed this video! I know you pronounced some things wrong but I probably do that too. I got Aseprite yesterday and wanted to get started and I think this video really got me everything I needed.
A like and a sub from me!
I was just teasing about the pronunciation. Good video, thank you.
+Cassidy Liston hehe I know man :b it was just to clerify so it's not the only thing people comment about (Not that it seemed to work haha)
Hi! What version of Aseprite do you using? Mine is 1.2.2 ans I have not "symmetry" buttons(
Hey, your English is good. I could've understand you.

You have brought balance to the force, never forget it
Based.
Thanks
This was incredibly useful dude, I think I may need to switch to this software for Sprite creation from now on. Looking forward to an animation tutorial :)
It's the Glitch man
wait, you do son of a glitch?! never expected you to be on one of MortMort's vids, but here we are! the internet is a strange yet beautiful place...
What did you use before? I generally draw in MSPaint.
@Kenneth Roy f off loser
oh man i remember that i watched one of your son of a glitch videos and thinked you actually said son of a bitch instead of son of a glitch
Aseprite has become my Photoshop, not that I use Photoshop.
I mean I’ve used photoshop for pixel art but I think that aseprite is way better(for pixelart at least)
As a person who has used GIMP, don't use it
Rather use an art program like Autodesk sketchbook or something
This is probably one of the best tutorials I've ever seen. Not on just aseprite, but anything ever. Such a clear demonstration of all the components in a well-ordered manner. Plus the custom art in the program just makes this incredible.
This is the best tutorial ever. Straight to the point, shows how things works, short cuts and how to use them, and gives a lot of really useful tips and advice. I liked how you made a pixel art for the tools.
You are really helpful. This is one of the best tutorial that I see. Very simple. Every detail. Without hard english sentences, with subtitles. Exactly what I looked for. Thank you.
As someone who has used a *lot* of Aseprite over the course of this year; there are several things I didn't know you could do with it. I'm impressed.
My favorite song is Total Ellipse of the Heart.

@Dom GamesYT I'm doubting you watched the video xD

This was like hands-down one of the most useful tutorial videos I've ever watched. I'm just completely blown away. Impressive. Keep it up, my dude.
WOW! What an incredible introduction - truly, there are few tutorial videos I leave reviews on, but this was incredible comprehensive and straightforward while still being easily accessible. Incredible job!!
I'm starting to pixel art, and your channel is helping me so much! Thanks for all the tutorials and the live streams ♥
This video covers the basics in such an easy and interesting way, there really isn't tutorial like this on UA-cam.
Thank you Mort.
ive used aseprite for quite some time now and didnt even know some of these features existed lol, this video helped a lot when it comes to making pixel art and sprites efficiently, thanks :)
The dry humor I felt in this, intended or not, made learning how to use this so much easier. Thank you for the lesson and the laugh.
It's amazing that this tutorial is STILL completely relevant, Aseprite hasn't really changed much and this video has helped me a lot to create my own sprites ^^
One of the greatest tutorials on anything I've seen on UA-cam. Gave this video a like. I think you should do more comprehensive tutorials like that for Aseprite, as well as other graphic tools and anything you feel competent at really. Had a great time watching and learned a ton, thanks MortMort.
I was looking for more information on this program, since I was thinking about getting it. After seeing this guy's tutorial, I think I'm pretty much sold. Thanks, man.
Thank you so much for this tutorial :) I've been using Aseprite for almost 1 year and there was still quite a few things/tips that I didn't know until I watched your video. I cannot wait to see more Aseprite tutorials! :)
Having exclusively used GameMaker's sprite editor in the past, I really like what I'm seeing here! Management in GameMaker was a real pain, and not having layers was a bit taxing, but I also wasn't interested in using Photoshop for the same reasons you mentioned, especially the animation runaround. I'll definitely be trying this out!
+Brantly McCord I can highly recommend it! Let me know if anything too !
Interesting! I'll give PyxelEdit a look while I'm at it then-I see a lot of recommendations for it, and it's always worth it to experiment around! Thanks!
same here, I've only used Game Maker sprite editor but I'll be using Aseprite from now on. I make small puzzle & action games at theox.itch.io if anybody wants to trade feedback.
i want to gie you a huge thanks for making a series of videos of asperite, i got it 2 days ago and immediately started using it for unity, but my pixel art wasnt very good, so now im learning with your tutorials and i think itll help me a lot as many other channels recommend you.
i've seen a lot of aseprite tutorials and this was the best. ty so much
The amount of effort you've put into this video is astonishing. And the video was really easy to follow and understand too. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Very handy tutorial. I've been using the software for a while but never really tried to learn how to properly use the tools until now. Thank you.
This is the best beginner tutorial ive seen of any program, thank you for this one!
I've just purchased Aseprite before watching your video and was looking for a basic tutorial that covers all the basics. Very informative and very well done! Thanks for creating and sharing. I can't wait to begin using it. :)
Im getting this tomorrow and this is very useful! I was so happy when i found out they have a magic wand like in photoshop, it makes everything easier
This video was so helpful! I'm a noobie and this really covered alot and was not super dragged out. One of the most informative videos I've seen covering Asprite. You got a new sub! :) Thank You
Great tutorial! i bought Aseprite today and this video helped me to focus on the most useful keyboard shortcuts and where to find things in a couple of minutes, thanks!
I started out with Graphicsgale moved to Piskel and I think now that this toturian is out I can finally buy Aseprite!
Thanks for the help. I will look forward to your future Aseprite tutorials ^^
Concise, precise. Just the perfect tutorial.
Thanks Mort this will help a lot !
I drew through the year in Aseprite and only in your videos learned about symmetry magic wand and stuff... Tnx buddy
Glad that JD introfuced me to this channel. You're a great help Mort!
Wonderfully made mr mort, you covered some things that I didn't know about! My aseprite workflow will be better thanks to this
What an adorable tutorial, and still useful after all these 5 years 👍
Love that Hand + Sound on the video.
By other hand, nice video man :D really useful and simple.
Wow!!! You got a sub man, this is THE best tutorial i have ever watched!
You are explaining everything that makes you life easier, you are not bored, you are talking clearly. :)
Thank you so much! :D
Awesome video man, just started trying out Aseprite, thank you so much for this!
This is the best Video i have ever seen regarding pixel art !
Dude... you explain all so nicely! I'm new to Aseprite but learnt so much. Subscribed right away!
Excellent video. Even though I have been using Aseptire for a while, I found a few new things . Especially how to create a gradient!
FINALLY A DETAILED TUTORIAL! Thank you so much, subscribed and following all the tutorial videos :,D
I don't even make pixelart, I just enjoy your explanations and watching you work.
Wow! Thanks a bunch! I was avoiding this software because I thought it didn't have layers! Now I'm totally sold.
Saw it first on the Aseprite main page, watched full, learned a lot and then came here just to leave a like, sub and this comment that shows my appreciation!
That paint bucket tool is simply phenomenal!
Thanks for tutorial, it explains Aseprite basics quite well. Waiting for animation and advanced tutorials, I'm sure they will be much of a help for me. Good luck in your work
I bought both Aseprite and Pyxel Edit. Aseprite is what I've used most so far because of its simple UI. Great video!
Love this tutorial, Simple, Isn't boring, easy to understand, thank you lots!!
Thank you so much, this video helped me understand how to do the basics of Spriting. The thing I had the most trouble with was figuring out layers. Thanks for this video.
I got aseprite about a year ago from a friend's suggestion but the interface was just too overwhelming.
I didn't know where to start, what palette to choose, etc so I just gave up on it.
Now I regret not seeing your video sooner, I feel so motivated to do some pixel animations now.
Thanks for the great tutorial!
This was a fantastic tutorial and helped me make up my mind about buying Asperite, thankyou so much!
Holy crap, how haven't I heard of this program before!? Ive been using MS paint for pixel art and PS for my other art, I cant tell you how much better this is. THANK YOU!!!
Thank you so much for this !! I just bought Aseprite a couple weeks ago so this really helped ^^

THE PAINT BUCKET TOOL CAN WHAT??? Uggh would have saved me so much time if I watched this video before starting pixel art 😭 Thank you for these tutorials!
Thanks for all your help :) cant wait to keep watching :) Loved it
Just picked up Aseprite today after a year of voxel art in Magicavoxel. Thanks for a great tutorial.
The way you make tutorials is so creative, the fact that you drew all of the key frames to make the tutorial shows how much work goes into this, thanks for the tutorial mate!
I like the way you draw everything to show us what it is used for
Very informative. Subscribed and purchased Aseprite after watching this. Looking forward to watching more tutorials :)
Thanks! This is exactly what I needed to start using it to practice making my first sprites
Great primer, straightforward and thorough.
Edit: SF music, nice.

Thank you for your teaching! I am trying to learn LibreSprite myself. Great helpful!
This video actually blew my mind. I just got aseprite a week ago and had no idea what the magic wan did so I never clicked it and i spent time pain stakingly selecting things using the lasso XD
this was a great lil overview helped me feel less overwhelmed lol
Thank you so much just bought this software can't wait to make stuff!
Thanks for the tutorial! This is probably the best one on UA-cam.
Wow! This is a really good tutorial, my mum is buying Aseprite for me for Christmas, I’m planning on using it to make sprites and tiles and all that good stuff for RPG maker 2K3 which I got recently. I plan on making a Yume Nikki fangame with it, let’s hope it goes well!
Good luck!
I use Aseprite everyday for the past two months now but I never knew about the ctrl key. I only knew about the shift key haha. Thank you for that! 😊
