    Thanks for this video! I was able to fix my bed though I did it slightly different due to a lack of parts. Very well done and with good instructions.

      I can’t find the parts either, what did you use and how did you do it?

      Great video, straight forward, simple and clear instructions! This fixed both of my remote problems in less than 10 minutes and I have a vision problem, to boot. Thank you!

    That is exactly the problem I have. I knew because the one hose was a little loose and if I pushed it back towards the pump in the bed would inflat. Thanks! I was also having a problem trying to figure out how to take the pump apart. You showed it all! Thanks so much!

    Thank you. So glad I found your video. Our sleep number pump was barely puffing any air on the left side and when I took it apart I found the connection to the pump assembly was broken. I didn't know about Devcon plastic weld and I knew super glue would not do the trick. Can't wait to try it.

    That was a great video. Clever work around. I just performed this procedure and am resting comfortably in repaired sleep number.

    Tried this today, after waiting a long time with the problems. Worked great. Thank You. I was a little shy with the epoxy , and found a slight leak with some soapy water, at the sensor hose, but a drop of super glue around the base fixed it all right up. Saves spending a bundle on a new pump. This was one of the most concise and straight forward videos I watched while researching. Great Job

    Didn’t work for me. My unit for a king w 2 mattress has only 2large tubes vs 4 in this vid. I am guessing that in mine the 1 big tube that broke off at pump does both the in and out and the small grey only senses the pressure. So after doing this I get nothing because the air for the mattress is coming out the hole in the original large tube connector that this process bypasses. Thus if you have a pump w 1 tube per mattress I don’t think this works.

    Another leak area is the other end of that hose you glued. The plastic clip piece pulls back slightly. I banged the entire hose end on the headboard and that pushed it back together tightly again. Problem solved for nearly a year when I just had to do it again.

    Also, did you epoxy the hole shut, that the gray tube formerly connected to?

      Same question as this didn’t work for me. Air comes out where big tube connected

    The splicer and elbow in the pictures are not correct.

    The elbow only has two holes; one you connected to the grey tube, the other you connected to the larger air tube. You then glued the elbow to an intake (or exhaust) manifold. So how did air get through the elbow into/out of the exhaust manifold? What did I miss?

      I think with this method you can't deflate the bed you can fill it up though.

    Disappointed with this expensive pos, I feel like we got ripped off. Especially after finding a similar bed in amazon for 1/4 or less of the price. Thank you for the video.

      Had my sleep number bed since 2000 - 23 years now, still working, all original (but leaking air, hence my visit here)

      What is the knock off on Amazon called? My wife and I were gifted an old used sleep number from family and it is deflating all the way every night

    My bed sinks in the middle, do you think that a leak could be the problem?

    • @speaknsee
      @speaknsee  6 років тому

      Does it sink every night or just once in a while?

    • @saabsss

      Every night😩

    • @speaknsee
      @speaknsee  6 років тому +1

      that sounds like a leak close to the engine. I would take some really good glue ( epoxy ) and put it on the edge of the hose where it connects to the unit.

      speaknsee I will try that, thank you!
