The website shows to shake the grounds horizontally or in a circular motion after the shaker is already in the portafilter. Have you tried this method and if so, how well does that work?
@@sekf yeah, I don’t follow any rules other than my own 😛. If you do it the way they say it becomes more like a dosing funnel rather than shaker. But to answer your question, yes it works.

@mycoffeeshow111 very low retention, if get clingers you can just tap it and they will fall. You then are left with a very light dusting remaining but far less than what I've seen on other original designs. I got the silver one and it just looks so good.
My dream needle distributor design, To start distributing from bottom of the basket going upwards, so that it closes all the gaps on its way up for a channel free extraction. I think it’s doable, but no one has done the design yet.
i got their 14 needles WDT tool recently, and my shots are more consistent while using it compared to blind shaking with MHW's original shaker. i think they priced the SE PRO a bit high for just a blind shaker . but that's just me. thanks for the review!

The lack of need for a funnel looks nice, but beyond that? Seems wildly overcomplicated for no good reason, and the fact that you can't shake it vertically without gripping the smooth aluminium in a weird way is a *major* design flaw that should have been eliminated long, long before this entered mass production. Losing the ability to shake the middle plug to move coffee through is also a major usability downgrade IMO - the up-and-down motion looks far more annoying to deal with. And, of course, as this is a part that needs rinsing out after use, the more complex design looks like a downgrade once again. Heck, some people might like it, and more power to you, but to me this looks like an attempt at over-engineering a "solution" to non-existent problems.
@@Kraaketaer I see your point completely. On the website you can find much easier way they recommend but I wanted to share how I use it.
