I know it's difficult to recall year in year out but i thought early September usually has some nice clear and sunny spells, and that this is a pretty poor start to it compared to normal.

No that's just stereotype for a lack of a better word. Like saying high pressure means warmer dryer weather. We all know it can be cold and like the beast from the east can still produce precipitation.

I think same as you, September generally for a number of years now has always seemed to be generally warm and settled, i think this September is the exception rather than the rule. As i always say.....the weather is the one thing none of us have any control over...it is what it is...weather and long may it continue 👍

@@angusmecoatup9849 Yeah if it was as predictable as saying that September is this then we wouldn't have any interest in weather. There would be no point in weather forecasting.

@@isaacshaw1596 love anything weather related, have done since i was a young lad. I especially love our British weather, so unpredictable which of course makes it so much more interesting. I have to admit I'm not fan of extreme heat/humidity. My ideal temperature would be around 21-23c. That 40c heat back in July was horrible!

UK Autumn - wet and windy. Nice to see typical weather for the time of year. Enjoy it before temperatures plummet at the end of October. Cold, early start to the winter with snow and sub-zero temperatures followed by a mild, wet and windy second half. That's where my money is.

In 20 years, as the Northern Atlantic gets warmer, hurricanes like this will still be low level hurricanes when they hit Western Europe.

@@TheIlhanTheElequent_ishaqA hurricane maintains strength along coast, multiple systems combine to keep its energy sustained across Atlantic thus a previous tropical storm is upgraded to a hurricane. An unlikely occurrence yet far from being impossible, and when the Atlntic warms it will eventually turn from unlikely to expected yearly.
