Never played a Metroid Game until Dread, after playing the Demo went right to search the other games and downloaded them all onto my 3DS, and found the Zero Mission remake as an injected VC cia for my 3DS, i don't have a Wii U, just a Wii, a PS3 a New 3DS and a Switch 2017 Model

Hearing Samus's Theme gave me goosebumps and I legit started crying and bumping my head. it is so unbelievable that we've come this far, and it feels incredible to hear her theme in such a professional setting. Mercury Steam is such a phenomenal team.

I dont know, but for me the 2018 TGA orchestra was God Tier
My favorites are from 2018, 2019, and 2021.
I enjoyed 2017 and 2020, but it didn't feel as if they were cohesive enough.
2017, I understand because it was the year the Game Awards orchestra debuted and they were trying to get it right. It didn't have much of the hype as other years do.
2020, I understand they couldn't be with hundreds of people (for obvious reasons), but, as much as I loved the music, it didn't feel as cohesive in some areas of the compilation.
Either way, I'm glad they've kept the orchestra as a tradition. I can't wait for future ceremonies and hear their GOTY performances!

Well, considering that the only time Metroid would have even had a chance to compete for Game of the Year on a show like this was with Metroid Prime 1 (since that is the best selling Metroid game and the best reviewed one too), and with how niche Metroid is (or was now that Dread has out it on the spotlight, thank god), let's just say that many wanted Metroid to get some spotlight on a show like this, and we finally got it, and it feels AWESOME!
Can't wait to hear Samus' theme again when Prime 4 releases.

2017: Zelda: BOTW and Mario Odyssey
2019: Smash Bros. Ultimate
2020: Animal Crossing
2021: Metroid Dread
Nintendo games and their soundtracks are always the unique and memorable ones.
All those big score, big instrument and then WHAM, Animal Crossing coming in with the most mellow theme you can have.

I mean...at least Psychonauts 2 got it's own section in the orchestra? Still miffed that it didn't win any awards, not even in art direction (which I thought was a clear pick, nothing against Deathloop but really? Deathloop?)
That's the same way I feel about Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart. It didn't win any of the awards it was nominated either. I thought it would be a clear pick for any of the stuff it was nominated for
I think Psychonauts 2's music is badass, but I was sad for not taking it as best narrative, both 1 and 2 have amazing plots and funny dialogues with lots of references. Guardians of the Galaxy may have a new story, but we can't say it's really (really, really) original, it has movies, comics and all. Psychonauts 2 deserved to have won at least one award and didn't have to be GOTY.

I can play Psychonauts 2 thanks to PC Game Pass, but i'll need a powerful PC, my big sis' Lenovo IdeaPad 320 can run Tetris Effect Connected (Unreal Engine 4) almost at a stable 60fps thanks to it's NVIDIA GeForce 940MX

Well at least it did win one award on The Game Awards (which was Best Action/Adventure Game), so it did not go empty handed.

I never played It Takes Two, and i can't play it, i need a Gaming PC, a PS4 or a PS5, an Xbox One or an Xbox Series X or Series S... And also a Friend
And i only have a Nintendo Switch and my NSOnline Membership just ran out of juice like the Omega Blaster
But at least i can play Metroid Dread (Demo)
