    During the taping of this show, Ethel snuck into the audience over at The Judy Garland Show which was being recorded close by and ended up singing with Judy and Barbra Streisand!

    Red Skelton made me laugh all over again- just like he did when I saw these shows in their first run. Merman is magnificent showing off her comedy style, talking to herself in a split screen, singing soft and gently, and then letting it all out. Skelton and Merman are a great team! She worked with all the great comedians of the day, almost. (Would loved to have seen her with Jackie Gleason and Jack Benny!)

      ...And a decidedly better, more sophisticated and becoming hair-do than the jiffy pop PTA style the great Merm sported in the mid-sixties!
