Say what you want about Freddie & The Dreamers........they had some great, catchy tunes that sold a TON of records. I still listen to many of them today. Thank you for posting this episode!
Thanx again, Red Skelton Museum, for sharing these little gems! Keep 'em coming, please? Ah, yes, The Freddie. Gym class calisthenics on the dance floor. And Freddie was so cute. Paul Ford was always a delight. I remember him in It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World, and The Russians Are Coming, the Russians Are Coming, and, of course, with Sgt. Bilko. What a hoot! And Red was wonderful, as always, in Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines, and, of course, every week, on his show. Such fun! I miss those days. RIP, gentlemen, and thank you so much for the magic, music, and memories. (edit bc my stupidphone cannot spell properly 🙄 )
As another has stated, the audio is missing for the right channel. It might be that way from the source tape though. Freddy and the Dreamers with that goofy dance for "I'm telling you now" just makes me laugh almost as hard as I laugh for Red.
I thought what's new pussycat was written in 66. They presented Freddy and the dreamers on film aka Scopatone. I remember first seeing this episode in 1965 at El Paso, Texas in black and white t.v. This is the first time I've seen i in color.
